July 13, 2008 - Cruisin' the Mexican Riviera

Hello Everyone

Thought I'd give an update on my planning. I never seeem to stop planning! It is just as fun as the cruise itself, well almost!!

I purchased our travel insurance, not DCL. I purchased within two weeks of our deposit to get the preexisting condition waiver. My in laws are going and have minor health issues, so I felt is was good to do my best to get this covered.

Other than, reading these boards has been a large part of my "computer" time. That and ebay, you can never have enough cruise wear!!:goodvibes

My DD 12 is anxious about being in the teen group, as she will be 14 at cruise time. I hope Disney gets something together by then to accomodate the 14-15 year olds without the older teens.

We just stepped off the Magic yesterday after a seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise. It was our family's first DCL cruise and we had a wonderful time. We had so much fun that before we disembarked, we booked for next year and it looks like we'll be joining this cruise.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

munchkinsmom, DH, DD7 and DS5 (ages at time of next year's cruise)

I'm munchkinsmom's DH, of course I'm coming along! I've been off the boat for 1 week but my mind is still at Castaway Cay! Can't wait for 7/13/08!

hey all, What's up? I am excited for this cruise already :happytv:

I think disney should do something more for the teens and young adults like 18-20

Still booked, bummer it's over a year away. :confused3

I'm scanning the DCL website almost daily waiting for the 2009+ schedules to arrive. We really want to add a 14 or 15 day cruise to our list of life experiences. I'll worry later about how I'll come up with the money! :scratchin

I check these boards about 3 times a week. I bring my passporter to work with me everyday, just in case I want to read about DCL or make notes in the book about something I've read on these boards.

The planning is half the fun!! :)

you are so right that planning is half the fun

We're still going too! We went to Disneyland last weekend with friends that are also going to be on this cruise. We all can't wait for next summer!

Hi everyone,

We are still going. I guess when this summer is over I will get more into the planning mode. It should be great!

This is a pretty dumb question that I am sure I could figure out quickly with a little research, but could you tell me if there is a current passporter edition out that covers this cruise? If so, can you tell me what edition it is so I order the right thing? Thank you very much for any info you might have. :goodvibes

Not on this cruise but started a thread for the July 20th and had to cancell that one but am keeping the thread info up and running ....but am on another thread for the July 27th the one we are going on...geeesh sounds confussing:rotfl:

Anyway just stopped in here to say HI ....so HI..seems all the MR threads are still running a little slow. In about 4 months should pick up at a heavier pace.

So has anyone here ever done the MR before?
