July 13, 2008 - Cruisin' the Mexican Riviera

Hello Future Sailors! We just arrived home late last night from the 11-night 7/7/07 Mediterranean Cruise on The Magic and are already looking forward to the 7/13/08 Mexican Riviera Cruise! This will be our 6th DCL cruise!

Right now, it will be myself and DH, but I've booked DD(25) and DS(24) just in case they are able to come, too.
We had an amazing time on the Mediterranean cruise and really enjoyed meeting all the other DISers! Can't wait to meet all of you, too!

This will be the 8th time we have been on the Magic- I absolutely love that ship, but after this time we are going to wait for the new ship.
If there are any DS who want to start email list pm me and let's get the kids busy. The last time I went we had all the kids talking for months and it was great they got to meet tons of people and really enjoyed themselves.
Anyone think of any good door signs yet??

last cruise I went on we started a thread for teens and kids ages 20 and down since there is a college age program for college age people that isn't really mentioned, so I'll start something for that if you all would like so kids can chat if they want

Hopefully the 11 months will go by quickly. We are so excited! I wish we were going next week. Tonight I booked the Holiday Inn for the night before our cruise. Anybody else staying at a hotel the night before? We will have two, possibly three families staying the night before!

I'll be going to disneyland for a couple nights before the cruise, never been to CA or out west. I can't wait for this cruise and it seems so far away. I hope I get to meet some more people since it will be only my dad and I. I get along with all ages

We were in Cabo all last week and being there made me a little more excited for next year's Mexican Riviera cruise.

I don't know if it's an option as a Disney excursion, but our family swam with the dolphins in Cabo and it was an outstanding experience. The facility is fairly new and they provide an excellent program. The company is called Cabo Dolphins (creative, huh?) and is at the marina where the ship tenders to. We also rode ATV's with Cactus ATV company, which was highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel. The tour we took let us ride on a private beach. If anyone wants any additional information on these companies let me know and I'll see if I brought anything home from our trip (other than all my jewelery, souvenirs, dirty clothes, etc.).

sounds like a fun trip, cabo is the one place I really want to go to on the cruise. I leave to go to disney world on september 4th and go on the wonder on september 6th. so that is gonna make me even more excited for this trip, 3 nights will be way to short after two 7 nights but it will be a good getaway vacation

The players are: Myself (Mary)
DH (Tom)
DGD (Haylye) just 3 weeks shy of 12 at cruise time.

It will be Haylye's 1st cruise and our 3rd.

We also did the Panama Canal repo in Aug 2005, looking forward to different Mexican ports this time.

Welcome aboard Mary! I bet you had a great time in Aug. 2005. My younder DD will also be 11 when we cruise. One of our friends who are going also has a DD who I believe will be 12. All of the girls are going to have so much fun!

yeah really did have good weather and a great time I hope pikey and ian will be on the cruise in july lol they made it ten times better and I see you went on a Mediterranean Magic cruise
