July 13 2008 Cruisin on the Wonder

We'll be at BCV on the 6th of July, and from the 7th-13th we'll be at Saratoga. Then after the cruise we're staying with family until the 21st.

Maybe we'll run in to you.

Michelle

Maybe its time to post a photo so you know what we look like. Mind you, you might notice by my tartan bikini and my accent:lmao:

Another ? what do teenagers like? I know besides the kids I'm probably the youngest one here but I forget what I liked then. Ha ha...I'm 27 next Wednesday.

27?? Oh my! I've just turned 40 last month!

Anyway, to answer you question. What do teenagers like? I would say mine likes anything that her mother doesn't.:lmao:

Ooh! Cocktails at Stormalong Bay then? Or maybe diet cokes:rolleyes1

Sounds like a good idea! I plan to be there a lot in the middle of the day, on the 11th and 12th. I can't imagine how hot it is going to be!

So last night, a friend of mine gave me a "fish extender", although I doubt it originally would ever have been called that.:rotfl: It is super cute, and has pictures of Pucca, who is an anime character of a little girl who is Korean, and whose parents own a Chinese restaurant. We love Pucca stuff! It is way cuter than the one I bought online, but I am not sure how it compares in size. I wish he had given it to me 3 days earlier - I would have skipped the other one altogether. Oh, well.

SeiJin decided that sleep wasn't important to her last night, and was done with it at 2:30. For the night. Now I am so tired and cranky. This child has not ever been a good sleeper, but I sure miss it. Good thing she's cute.

...that's how little one's are, you just never know when they will sleep or how long sometimes. When DS15 was an infant with colic, I used to walk the halls holding and kissing him and saying..."any other mommy would've tossed you out the window by now, but not me, I'm very patient with you". They are sooo cute and it is temporary. I'm lucky to get DS15 and DS13 out of bed this summer at a normal time.

I ended up going back to ebay to sort our FE's. I can't even make it to Walmart now. DH ended up in ICU:scared1: for a couple days after having chest pains at Boy Scout camp with DS13 in Wyoming. He actually decided to drive the 3 hours from camp to our hospital Sunday. I'm like...you could've passed out and wiped out several families driving on the road with our SUV.::yes:: Anyway, they couldn't find any cause, so we are on our way to camp to reassure DS13 who has no idea what happened to his dad. I told DS15 and DS8 that dad needs a therapeutic cruise now at least once a year. That made them feel much better:)

Yikes! Glad to hear that he is checking out OK. A yearly cruise sounds like a great idea to me, but how scary that must have been. hang in there.

I just signed my daughter, Brynne, up for a week long camp in August. I am nervous, because we won't be nearby, but I think it will be a good thing. I'm hoping so. She says she is ready, but she is a little nervous, too. Now if there was just a sleepaway camp for two-year-olds....;)

My mother lucked out. She told me within 2 weeks of coming home from the hospital I slept through the night. She would have to wake me up. Up until I moved out and got married this still held true ha ha. I love to sleep. My husband has told me that he's going to have me up by 6:30 and in the gym daily even on vacation ugh.

Your mom was lucky. I lucked out with my first daughter. She came home from Korea at nearly 9 months old. She slept in her own bed the 2nd night, and probably would have the first night if I'd put her there. SeiJin came home last year at 8 months old, and didn't sleep at all for 8 weeks. Really almost ever. No naps, no nights, nothin'. Still doesn't go to bed easily - usually not before 10:00, and more often later. Her letter from her foster mother says something like, "After 100 days, you still weren't sleeping, so I adapted my life to yours." (100 days is a milestone in a Korean baby's life.) So I don't think it is going to get better any time soon. At least she isn't often up all night anymore!

Well folks, I'm well on my way to finishing my Fish Extender!
Ours schools finish up here for summer( well, a Scottish summer that is, which usually means a little less rain than usual!:lmao: ) this Friday. We drive south to Manchester(England) on Saturday and fly to Orlando on Sunday. Yea! This time next week we will have landed after a 9 and a half hour flight. We usually crash out after a visit to WalMart as our body clocks are all over the place! Then we are up way too early the next day and will be first in line to see the Magic Kingdom opening ceremony.Believe me, thats usually the only day we see the opening.

Got you all some goodies for your FE's yesterday:thumbsup2

Well, we are totally jealous that you get to leave so soon. How much fun you will have:) . Has packing been fun for you or a chore?:). We are beginning to set things aside to pack in a spare bedroom. How many hours are you off of Florida time?:)

The packing has been ok, although we have had to put a bit more thought into clothes for the cruise as this is out first and we don't quite know what to expect. I have just received a copy of Passporters Guide to DCL so I am wading my way through it. It just seems too much to bring a pair of dress shoes for DH just for "dress-up" night.:confused3

We are five hours behind Florida time. So our flight leaves UK at 10.30 am and we land 2.30pm US time( which is 7.30pm) so by early evening, our bodies are at midnight!!:faint:

Do we know where everyones rooms are yet...Also have we heard from anyone else about fish extenders? I'm currently making mine and bought some goodies last night and today. I'm going to go check in for the cruise stuff now so I'll hopefully know my room number.

Wow, you are so good! :thumbsup2 After paying for our FE on ebay early last week, I finally picked the colors for the personalization tonite. I hope to get to some shopping on the upcoming weekend. Between my surgery my DH hospital stay, it has been crazy here. I actually had to work the last 2 weekends to make up for my off time with my surgery! Whew:faint:

We are in 8028.

We are in 5018.

I haven't heard back from anyone else on Page 1 that I sent a PM to.

So I guess its just us:grouphug:

Is it time to use real names yet?:rotfl: Hope to post a photo of my FE later!

We are room 6108.

Lesley - so excited for you. And jealous, too. But we will be right behind you! :woohoo:

And we are the Lennox Family.

Hey Jen, I'll just go on ahead and check that Mickey is expecting you and the girls! I'll have a taste of the food at WDW too, just to make sure its good::yes:: And I'll even watch all the firework shows and make sure they launch in time to the music.
I will have everything in order before you arrive.:thumbsup2

Whew! I can cross ALL that off my list of things to worry about! Thanks so much! Are we still on for Diet Coke at Stormalong Bay?

So it's only 4 rooms. Oh good now I don't have to go get more stuff. I had a count of 13 kids originally and yesterday only bought some stuff for nine. I guess I was in a brain fog.
