Hey Michelle, you are putting a lot of thought into this FE thing! Don't wear yourself out.

We are driving down to Port Canaveral as we have hired a car for 3 weeks.
I need a car to get me to Michaels, AC Moore, Scrappy Boutique......:rolleyes1 to stock up on craft goodies:hyper:

Oh my goodness..I don't want you to think about it at all:) . The fact that you are from somewhere different is enough. That's one reason we do the cruise.Baseball here is tough since there are thunderstorms almost every night. They think they will be hit by lightning. They follow California teams like the SF Giants (some family members have box seats and my cousin used to pitch for them way back when) and I went to USC so they are into their football team as well.We get to follow ALL those Nebraska pro teams...:rotfl2: and you really can't live in Nebraska without being a Husker fan. Denver is only 3 hours away however if we were to see a game. Must be nice to live near 3 pro teams

Well goodness, if you are going to have a car for 3 weeks, we could certainly cancel our minivan from Enterprise and join you:rotfl2: We don't take much space...we are very tiny people..really:lmao:

Hey,

Yeah, I have family in Nebraska. I've never been but I've heard it's hot and theres corn. ha ha. I will try to get them something they will enjoy.

Michelle

Well you are very sweet.:) Dont tell my kids that it is hot here. We are on the uninhabited Wyoming border away from all the usual heat and humidity on the Iowa side. Again, tonight the national weather service warning sirens are going off as we speak:worried: for thunderstorms. We have to get into the meat locker here at work (oops bad employee:rolleyes1 ) if tornado warnings start. It is really unerving:scared1:

Where we used to live in California, it would be over 110 degress for days in the summer and not cool off at night. So this isn't hot at all for them. I think it got up to 80 degrees today which suits me just fine. My husband can tell when he's driving across the state and the humidity starts right where the time changes to central time mid state. Do you know which end of NE your relatives live?:)

Mari

My uncle and his family are in Lincoln. He grew up in MA. He worked for Goodyear and has since retired. What do your kids like that I'm likely to get in MA?

oh...I don't want you to even think about it..:) crab candy, crab gum, crab postcard.:rotfl: :rotfl: ..little things..really, really simple little things... DS 15 would like a cute girl to put suntan lotion on:lmao:

See even your family lives on the populated side of NE:laughing:

So does everyone have early (main) seating for meals or late???

We have early(main) this time, but had late seating last cruise:)

(being a bad employee & surfing again:( )

Mari:)

We have late seating. And palo on night #2. :) I don't have any young ladies for him to rub suntan lotion on. Anyway it would take up too much space in my luggage hehe. I'll grab some candy. Gum if he promises not to attach it to the railings or on the floor. I'm not labeling that gift with my name they'll come after me. :)
I'm at work right now hehehe

I have been thinking about your boys all night, too. I am wracking my brain trying to think of anything they would like about Michigan!

And Lesley - what are your girls into? I know you said your 13 year old is loving the "dark" look. My little girl asked if she would like Hannah Montana, but I didn't have the heart to tell her no yet. ;) She asked me to ask about her. What about your nine year old? Is she girly at all? I only just realized that you had two girls when I went back to the beginning to look. I guess I wasn't paying close attention back then. Perhaps our girls will swim together a bit at Stormalong Bay? Brynne would love to meet somebody that is NOT her baby sister!:rotfl:

Oh, and we have the early seating. Everything we have was chosen by (and paid for - so I can't complain)the company my husband works for. I think I am glad to be early seating. We plan to keep SeiJin with us, and I don't think she would make it through the later one.

We'll be all by our lonesome for late seating :( Yeah Lesley what is your daughter into that I could get my hands on. candy Etc?

Michelle

Hey Lakerz5 another ? for you. Just double checking...you have 3 boys right? The first page says you have a DD as well. But I trust your sig more.

Michelle

O my goodness, so it does say I have DD. Yes, you are correct it is 3 boys..you are definitely observant::yes:: I will never tell him he could be mistaken for a girl. Especially since he is fighting an "evil skeleton" in his room..oops he wants a tuck in now..brb

Think of my boys as knowing nothing about where you live..what would you tell them and actually the 2 younger ones are Disney-freaks, so think simple...:) so no brain-racking allowed. it is supposed to be vacation and everybody likes corn...right??? and E85 gasoline (TSA won't mind)???::yes:: :rotfl:

Yea..home from work on the late shift..no time in the meat locker tonight:)

Michelle

I'll just have him :cool2: stick it back in your FE when he's done, no problem...ok??:rotfl:

Morning all!

Dull day here in Scotland. I'm kinda half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
I envy all you 80 degree folks... thats called a freak heatwave to us :rotfl2:

My apologies to DS8 for the TYPO on the front page. I must have been too excited at finding other families that were going to be on our cruise.

We are early seating...but I'm now starting to worry if it was the right time to choose. I hear its not staggered sittings now, just 5.45 and 8.15. I also heard that they have moved the Priate Party to an earlier time (7.30?)for younger ones to enjoy:thumbsup2 but that folks were complaining that dinner is affected by this.

Who knows. This is our first time so we will just go with the flow and learn from it.

Robyn, DD13 will be appreciative of anything..I'm sure she wil be happy to learn about your state.

Innes, DD9 will love to swim with Brynne and is into High School Musical and the like so she is the more girly one. I should say that where candy is concerned, she is not good with nuts and so if folks could stay away from any nut/peanut butter candy that would be great. Otherwise, I will have to eat it all:woohoo:

Off to Marks & Spencer's now. Isn't that a terribly British thng to say!:lmao:

I had answered someone's board on the main cruise line forum about which was better: early or late seating. It is really a toss up.. When I first found out we were early seating, I was going to switch it to late, but my DH stopped me short. He thought our 8:15pm last year time was tooo late. DS15 reminded me that all his friends in the teen group did stuff w/o him while he was stuck at dinner and that even once:lmao: the teens were allowed in the gym..always at our dinnertime. DS8 even missed dinner with us because of a pirate party in the kids club one night.

I keep thinking, but it was so nice when all those early seating people had to leave CC early to dress for dinner and the island was positively barren at 3pm. But my DH is right. The kids were so strarved at 8pm, they ordered room service to fill their tummies around 6pm every night and dinner did not end til way after 10pm. When I saw the spread of food at the pirate party..it was like I'd just eaten, there was no way to even try a bite. And we were very late to the pirate party. .which has been changed..could barely find a place to stand.. so I am content to experience both seating times and make a decision for next year. Who knows, maybe some of us will be at the same table?? or near each other for a wave to:).

Michelle, I'll be the one dashing past you in your lounge chair in a frazzle to go dress for dinner, while you're still relaxing..

DH is sure I like late seating better so I can take a long shower, take forever to dry my hair, then either straighten it or curl it and figure out what to wear..it just drives him nuts:laughing:

Ok for some names: Terrence DS15, Spencer DS13 and McKay DS8
