Hi,

A friend of mine who is a nutritionist told me about this product (no, she doesn't sell it). There are certain vitamins I need due to my eyesight and rather than take those vitamins straight, she recommended the Juice Plus. If anyone has any experience with it, please let me know. I'm sure it's not cheap, so I'd like to know if it's necessary. TIA

I give it to my son! He had a condition a few years ago (which he has since outgrown) that caused his body to reject any food with acids - most fruits and a lot of veggies. Poor kid, it was actually giving him second and third degree burns on his bottom! Anyway he still refuses to eat any fruits or veggies unless they are starchy (bananas, potatoes and corn). His Tae Kwon Do instructor suggested these as an alternative and he takes them everyday. I will say that he used to get sick pretty easily and doesn't seem to get sick much anymore. I don't know if it's because of the Juice Plus but we haven't changed anything else.

I take/have taken Juice Plus - and I really do feel good when I'm on it. My cravings for sweets seems to be eliminated. I tend to be a healthy, balanced eater typically (but too much of the good stuff can cause weight issues too! ;) ) and by adding the Juice Plus I feel like I'm getting those last little pieces to my personal nutritional puzzle. My problem is remembering to TAKE it! Doesn't do me any good to sit on the counter in the bottle!

I've seen ads for it and wondered about this too. I wonder that the fiber is basically removed from everything with this alternative.

My DS has a problem with most fruits causing areaction and I wonder if this might be a way to help him of if he would react to this.

I don't discount the fact that some people who use Juice Plus feel that it is helping them, but I can't help wondering if it is really because of Juice Plus or if it is merely because people who have chosen to take Juice Plus have chosen a healthier lifestyle. I would encourage anyone who is taking (or considering taking) Juice Plus to do a little research of their own, instead of believing everything the Juice Plus distributors say.

I think the juice plus is worth a shot if you can afford it. There are a lot of similar "greens" products on the market that aren't quite as expensive.
