It's very eye opening to say the least. FYI - I was also one of the followers of this show up until I really started noticing how awful Kate is, and how she treats not only her husband, but the kids as well. She is a truly awful selfish abusive witch. I can only pray that her kids turn out ok in the long run.

Really? Where is this info from? You'd think she'd be very grateful to not have to purchase all new items for 6 babies.

I dont' remember anymore. I've read so many articles and threads about them that I have a small memory of facts to why I dont' like them! LOL I believe it came from one of the ladies who knew them IRL in that town. It was pretty insulting to everyone and very embarassing to her parents when that happened from what I recall.

You can google Kate Gosselin's(sp?) parents and there is a ton of info out there.

From my understanding, they are moving to NC.

Well, that would make more sense since they don't seem to have any friends or family around anymore. Might as well move to NC. But, I think moving there just to be close to the production company is silly - they have to realize that the show won't go on forever.

Jodi was prominently featured in early episodes of JK8. She is married to Kevin, Kate's brother and lives near Jon & Kate. She was, by all accounts, the closest relative to the Gosselin kids before a falling out with Kate. She spent a lot of time babysitting the Gosselin kids - at least that's how it's been portrayed in the early episodes of the show.

Sorry Madge, just wanted to add to your always informative posts that Kevin was prominently featured on the episode where they did the garage over I think? I'm also wondering if he was the one that helped paint the twins room but I'm not sure about that one.

I think he's basically the only guy you ever see (saw) there other than Jon and the TLC employees until this season of course .

Oh wow...I wondered why Beth wasn't on anymore. DH & I watch the show but he just complains about all the free stuff they get. That part doesn't bother me much I guess because they're on TV...I wouldn't want our lives out there for the world to see...

However....I'm totally entralled in reading all about this stuff & sounds like my J&K life will never be the same once I read it!! Well there goes doing housework tonight when I get home from work!! Dang...that's a big thread over there!!

Do you ever watch The Soup on E? Last week, Joel was talking about Jon & Kate and the way she talks to him...and said I had Dr. Pepper coming out of my nose when said
"Coming soon...Jon minus 9!"

No kidding! I couldnt' imagine talking to anyone like she does let alone the supposed love of my life! But Jon is so whipped, what kind of person lets their spouse treat them like that every single day?? I want to tell her to back off and shut up...I wonder how much he's bitten back and not said?

She even got her tummy tuck for free! I have lost over 145 pounds and would love the plastic surgery fairy to give me a free tummy tuck. I guess I am just jealous.

Did she also get a breast lift along with her tummy tuck - it was a fan's husband that was a plastic surgeon that did it....

I stopped watching the show when I realized I was wasting my time watching someone get their teeth whitened (and whining about it)...yep, I have better things to do with my time!

At first I too loved the show but now it's the same old thing. Getting free things over and over. My last show was teh one when Jon took the kids to the Phillie's baseball game. And I can't get out of my head the episode where Kate had the camera crew put up the shades in the living room. And then made them do it a second time after she told them she didn't like it. In my house, I but up all the shades. I didn't know how to before but I learned pretty quickly.

you can google the same thing I told a PP to search. Kate Gosselin's parents. There are bunches of links when I did that earlier trying to recall where I read about that stuff.

I dont' follow the show anymore so sorry I haven't ready many blogs or threads about them. I used to watch the show until I realized I was getting po'd at Kate and it was stressful to watch! LOL That's when I turned it off for good. I don't even stop when it comes on if I'm channel surfing.

ETA~ every once in a while I get sucked into threads like this and I can feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about how badly those kids are being exploited. So, signing out for my well being!
