Jon & Kate plus 8 budget?

There was an article on MomLogic about the Gosselins and it linked to a blog from Jodie's sister that talked all about the issues behind the scenes. Apparently, Kate has personal assistants nannies, trainers personal chefs,etc etc and is militant about the fact that NO ONE but them gets paid for anything. I don't know if it's just family jealousy or what but the blog was pretty interesting. From what I gathered, they are making more than enough money from the show that if John doesn't want to work, he doesn't need to.

Here is the link, tho a lot of posts have been removed by Jodie's request. Again, it is Jodie's sister that has by writing this blog and telling about a lot of the behind-the-scenes drama. Pretty interesting reading. I don't know that I agree with the family being in the spotlight and I don't necessarily care for certain aspects of the parents, but I do watch the show because those children are adorable!

Yeah she stopped all contact with her parents after they took care of the twins while she was in the hospital all that time and her parents and their church did a huge fundraiser thing and Kate had a fit that they had gotten them all used things. She refused all those gifts and only wanted new things.
Kate really has some serious entitlement issues.

I say once the Kids aren't Cute anymore the Show will be Cut.
Hopefully they saved most of the money they made.
We've also gotten very tired of the "Little People Big World" also.

I occasionally watch JK+8 but really I do thing that it doesn't seem right that there are lots of super great families out there who have interesting lives and who don't get everything paid for doing it all on their own (like mine for instance)

I've also heard that they have actually purchased a new home, but it is closer to where they originally lived in PA. It is a 1.4 million dollar "estate" complete with a pool, horse barn and guest house.

From my understanding, they are moving to NC.
(to be closer to their production company and warmer weather!)

Hopefully those children will grow up learning that their parents don't have to be responsible for all of that stuff for them. I hope that J&K have enough sense to prepare for their future, which I think they do but I disagree that they have to provide all of those things to all of their children. I only have 3 and I know I can't and I expect them to help out and be financially responsible for some of those things. I can't imagine anyone with 8 kids not feeling the same.

I read the Good Housekeeping article about them last week. Most of it was nothing new, but the real kicker for me is that they want to adopt a child! Kate is thinking that all of the kids will leave the house at the same time and she'll be lonely (actually, she'll probably just pick on Jon more). She wanted to adopt a "tag-a-long" (I think that's the term they used) so she'll have a younger one to keep at home longer. They looked into adopting a child from Korea but there's a rule about the size of the family. They already have too many kids for the Korean officials to consider giving them another one. Kate said, "We already have 8 kids, what's one more?" What the heck, lady!? Concentrate on the mob you've already got!

She even got her tummy tuck for free! I have lost over 145 pounds and would love the plastic surgery fairy to give me a free tummy tuck. I guess I am just jealous.

Based on her calling an adoptee a tag-a-long, I hope nobody will give them one. I also think that the only reason they want to adopt is because it would keep viewers watching, and their show on the air. Its all about the show for them, they both make me ill.

I am sorry, but adding another kid to their clan is complete suicide!!! I am not sure how they have survived this long. I think I would have gone completely insane.

It is really interesting reading everyone posts especially the post about how Kate has a personal assistant. She definately plays it out like she does everything herself. Honestly, I wouldn't blame her for having the help, I would be the 1st person to being hire help, especially if I am raking in the dough from TLC, but to play it off like you are doing everything yourself is very deceitful.

I'm sure that even when the show is cancelled, they will still get paid for endorsements and speaking engagements. Even so I really hope they have saved up some $$. When the kids don't get all the attention anymore they are going to need counciling. I think they all need it, but for now it makes good tv.
