We all have drastic impressions, but even we can't agree if they are good or bad. And someone is voting for her. You can't make me believe that it's all the people who don't like her.

I have no idea if the kids would be happier not filming and not doing lots of really nice trips and having a smaller house without all that land. I'll have to wait for the book. I'm sure Maddy's will be the first one out.

I'm voting & 2 of my daughters are too. I like seeing her on the show

You seem to be truly optimistic of Kate's intentions and what she MAY be doing with the money, I am not. I don't get the impression AT ALL that she is thinking of the future. I think any sacrifices made now will only lend itself to helping in the future.

I don't know Kate, so I guess I'll just assume she loves her children and her intentions are honorable...that she is saving some of the money. I am optimistic, because I haven't seen anything to tell me otherwise. We haven't read that the bills aren't being paid, the taxes are in arrears, the housekeeper has been let go, and the kids have been pulled out of private school.

I don't understand why you are so dead set on the fact that she and her children should make sacrifices now, if she doesn't need to at this time. Have you (a general you, if others feel she should scarifice) cut way down on stuff, just assuming your husband may not be making as much money in five years? Have you (general) sold your house to get a smaller one, because someone might think it's too big for you? I don't know anyone who has, that is gainfully employed and expect to be for now. She is working, and I'm just going to assume and hope, saving for the future, for when she does have to make sacrifices.

She said last night on Joy Behar that he made hundreds of thousands and now it has run out so she was focused on the money part not the betrayal

I didn't watch the show. I only watch DWTS. Why do you think that she didn't feel betrayed, when talking about the money he got to throw her under the bus? The amount of money shouldn't matter. If he had a problem with her and the kids taping, the time to say it would have been when it happened, not a few months later, when he's off the show and being paid to talk.

She said Kevin and Jodi has not seen the kids in 2 years. Kate don't read the tabloids, so maybe she don't know that Jon let them see the kids.

She told Joyce or is it Joy that she is not a DIVA on DWTS. The DWTS is like her big extended family and friends, she loves them all. I was really hoping Joyce would ask her about her parents and grandparents and why does she feel these people are her only friends and family-but she only asked about her brother Kevin.

She said Kevin and Jody made money off of her kids and her family. She said Kevin's money most have run out and that is why he is talking again.

She said the kids want to know when they can go on an airplane again, and she and the kids have a big vacation coming up, that will be a shown, as a special this summer. She said she and the kids are really excited and can't wait. So I presume as soon as school lets out, they will be filming again.

Someone may want to tell her that the Kreider's were requested to speak at the hearing and one is generally not paid to testify. This is a good thing for all kids in the entertainment industry. What parent wouldn't want stringent safeguards involved for children in for profit avenues? I'll tell you what kind......

Why can't the kids go on an airplane (or anywhere apparently) unless TLC is filming something?

Oops. Kevin didn't mean this time was bad, when the potty chair incident was in his house with Jodi. I guess they forget that this stuff is on tape. Assuming it's true, but it was on Radar, so who knows.

Because without Jon in the picture, she needs the extra 4 pairs of eyes and hands to go anywhere there are other people. Plus if there are other people with her and the kids that means she can still escape for a quick mani/pedi and possibly a massage!!

Is she paying for her own clothes? Or her hair? I assume she was paying for the tanning, but then Tony went with her (and I think they spray them on DWTS)..maybe she isn't even paying for that. At one time, it gave credit to people at the end of their show, that covered those things. Is she breaking the bank even if she is paying for those items?

As for the house..I thought at one time TLC said they would pay for part of it, since they film there, and the camera people could stay in the guest house, but I haven't seen that posted again since. Was it paid for through a lawyer? I can't remember, but I don't think it was TLC.

DWTS tans them day of show (or maybe day before?)--Kate does extra outside of the show and for fairness among the contestants, it is likely she is covering that herself.

There's been enough data from prior seasons on how DWTS requires them all to do the tanning.

Her additional tanning can be considered a business expense. Anything that goes to improving her appearance or her image (including clothing used in interviews and such) can be written off as a business expense.

They filmed the boys pottying in the front yard on the sidewalk--something about boys being messing. It was Jon and Kevin and while they didn't show the boys bits, they were shown sitting on their seats with their pants dropped in the front yard.

FYI--they also show similar images on ALL pull-ups commercials. But noone ever complains. So I presume as long as the kid is an actor simulating potty, thought he image is exactly the same--then Jodi, Kevin and the anti-Gosselin crowd is okay.

FWIW--I have no problem with showing a potty training toddler for the precise reason that it is shown very freely in commercials and movies and television on a pretty regular enough basis.

ETA: Come to think of it--they may have been at Beth's house.....but still. Kevin is an idiot and he and Jodi's intentions are completely false and fame oriented.

You're right it is a moot point but certainly something worth considering since we all have very drastic impressions of what is going on with her. She comes across to me as selfish and self-centered. Do you think the kids care about what size house they have? What label the clothes are that are on their backs? I seriously think the kids would go back to the simpler days if it meant a more normal life for them without all the drama and chaos.

Many people's lives would be different if we play the "what if" game.

In the end, they chose their path and the outcome can never be changed.

You cannot predict "what if" when the opportunity to take a different path has long since changed.

You also cannot predict if Jon and Kate would have even remained together. You can't even predict if they had a better chance of remaining together without the show.

But it is a minor shown with their pants down regardless. It is either okay, or it isn't.

BTW--Haley Joel Osment despite his award winning movie--was subject to much bullying and torment.

So the idea of it being okay for a "nameless actor" is a bit hypocritical since children are subject to torment for just being weird--and when they are playing a role that isn't even them--but just acting, it can be even worse.

They've already profited by giving scoops.

They are biased and are evil. None of their testimony should be valid unless seen first hand. If the judge needs to see what was on the air--he can see it himself. He doesn't need Kevin and Jodi to regurgitate what the rest of us have seen. That's not "testimony". That's a review of a tv show.

It is good for children in the entertainment industry that something is being done....

But Kevin and Jodi shouldn't be permitted to profit from it--and they will. And they suck.

O dear when did that become a crime?

Didn't you know--anything Kate does is wrong if it doesn't involve her being personally present and attending to her brood 24/7. We ignore all the freedom Jon has had and then sympathize that Kate "limits" his access to him--but the moment she pampers, it's time to call 911 and claim child abuse and for Jon to sue for custody for her being an absentee mom.

It's not illegal.

She can't be prevented it from doing it.

Got news for you--she's protected by the first amendment on that one.

Now what TLC does with it--that can be controlled. But if she wants to photograph poop and talk about it, no law can prevent that. Not even child entertainment law.
