What the heck?! It's not like she actually wanted to be married to Jon anymore.
She should see what some of our lost soldiers' wives are going through, losing the husbands that they wanted to be married to, having to help their kids cope with losing their father, and doing it ALL ALONE. That is stress.
Okay--I will try to be sensitive as I by no means mean any disrespect to someone who as lost a spouse or parent or child in war.
HOWEVER--it saddens me when we start comparing people's lives and saying--well you don't have it that bad, you should see such and such.
I know Kate can be a beast. But she can be miserable. She can be stuck in a situation.
We truly do not know what went on. Divorce is a major life change.
It's just unfair to people who are going through tough times to say--well it's not as bad as this over here.
We can't say or even suggest that she has it easy or that she should be without stress.
I'd have to ask on what planet is divorce 100% not an stressful situation.
Heck, my mom has been divorced 4 times. Yeah--it's stressful (at least 2 and possibly 3 are justifiable, I do not know if there was legitimate merit to the other one.) And she's military.
I'm just tired of Kate being mocked b/c other soldiers and their families have it worse.
I think it is a weak argument to compare it to that. There are tons of situations that could be worse. It doesn't make her situation illegitimate.
No disrespect to soldiers' familes, but I just can't stand when they are used in situations like this. (yes losing someone in war is sucky--but losing anyone to death is sucky period--regardless of how they died.)
That's all I'm going to say on that. This is not a Kate defense btw--but a general defense on anyone going through a tough time. It bugs me when I sense the "suck it up mentality".
