Interesting..I guess it depends on if you like her or not.

This is what I heard:
She denies saying she was done in October but she wll not give out details. When she said the vows in HI, she meant them. She feels failure. This isn't what a mom wants for her kids, but it it's necessary. There is more peace in the house. Jon and her had different goals. I don't remember just when he moved out..he was out a lot and back, and I just don't remember the timeline of when it was final. Nobody is perfect, including myself. It takes two to end a marriage, and I was one of the two. She appeared to take responsibility for her part. She doesn't know what she would change, because it's hard to go back. She says she did not have an affair with Steve and is friends with both him and his life.
I saw a woman who appeared to be sad and hurt, who said she still loves the Jon she used to know.
I didn't get the feeling she was saying she was a better parent, and I saw nothng wrong with how she was dressed.

Agreed. I think if it had been me, I would have been so very tempted to throw him completely under the bus. But she didn't, she chose to take the high road. I never have believed the rumor about bodyguard guy and do believe that she is friends with he and his wife. The condo story was fabricated by the tabloids, I don't believe that she would be that far from her kids. I found it interesting that she still loves the Jon she knew....he is long gone.

I think she is staying with a friend for now when it is Jon's turn and I don't blame her one bit for not saying where.

I do agree with others that her "um's" are very distracting.

I think you might be right. Who was in the house with the kids when Jon went to the bar to pick up the Nanny that he ended up taking back to his room above the garage?

You would think that if Kate was gone he would stay in the main house with the kids. I can't see them being in the house all by themselves.

I figured they were sleeping inside the main house with the nanny that Jon never uses. But I guess it could be possible.

I do agree with others that her "um's" are very distracting.

I think it'd be wrong for the kids to be left alone without adult supervision if it was Jon's turn and he went out-however, I do not think Kate stays in the house while he is there. JMHO, but I cannot see her doing that.

I think she said she was in hiding and meant she is not disclosing where she is when the kids are with Jon at home. I think she doesn't want the paps follwing her around every second of her free time. Whether that is just privacy or because she doesn't want photos of her with someone out there if possible. Who knows. But I personally do not think she stays in the house in a room while he is there.

I don't notice all the ums when she's talking. If I had to guess I'd have probably guessed between 5 and 10, Things like that doesn't bother me much though. Now if she had the habit of calling Meredith (or whomever) "sweetie" all the time, I'd be noticing and maybe even counting.

I don't think she stays there, either. that doesn't seem like a good idea for any of them... and the house isn't that big.

there's something not right with the paps, and I can't put my finger on it. I don't have a clear understanding of how they work, and maybe if I did it would make more sense.

The paps are right outside the house, becoming friendly with Jon and the kids ... they're lurking around in the town ... they catch Jon at all hours of the night & in NYC ...Kate went to NC and they were tracking every move, (especially when Kate was wearing a bikini ) even though this is an area that gets a lot of celebrity visitors and is well known for leaving the celebrities alone...

So, how is it that Kate took trips (with a TLC crew) to Florida and Wyoming and there were no pictures? And how is she able to leave that house and no one knows it?

Concerning the appearance on the Today show--I thought is was funny when Kathie Lee and Hoda were doing their segment and Kathie Lee said Kate asked to be interviewed on the Today show?? They both agreed that she should do a blog or tweeter instead--why put yourself through an interview?? In the next sentence one of them said, it probably is because Jon has an interview coming out tonight and she wanted to tell her story.
The only thing I got out of the interview was she is leaving her rings on for "the kids". What a joke!!!

oh, I noticed and knew Kate was saying it a lot (but didn't care enough to count, LOL) .. because that's what she does when public speaking/giving interviews. She does it on the show, too, although not quite as often.

That's why I find it so funny that Kate wants to have her own talk show -- IMO she's a mom that may be able to relate to other moms, that is comfortable speaking to crowds .. but a TV host, she's not. . not yet, anyway.

I almost think that TLC is spinning it that Jon's not going to be as big a part of the show now - I watched the episodes over the weekend and the second episode Jon wasn't a part of so maybe that's their "sell"?

I'm probably be in the minority on this thread, but I still watch and I honestly still watch mostly to see the kids.

I still watch as well and LOVED the camping show! Kate seemed so relaxed and the kids were adorable!

Those kids have been around "men with cameras" their entire lives, so how do they know who is the good guys and who are the bad guys. Think about it, they see someone with a camera they think they are nice guys that want to film them when they could be ANYONE! It's scary.

So true! Has anything ever been looked at to see if this could affect them down the road? Will they be more suseptable (sp?) to trusting too many people and getting into trouble that way because of the number of people who cycle in and out of their lives (thinking staff - not specifically family)? Will it be easier to snatch one of them (God forbid) if a sick person with a camera just wants to take their picture and they go because it's "normal"?

And did anyone notice HER little girl with the Gosselin children? Geez... it is all too much. If I were kate, I'd be having a stroke. And I'm sure Jon knows exactly what buttons to punch.

I know my nanny brings her son (who's slightly younger than my youngest) but DS5 is starting school next week so it's just the two little ones (one mine and one hers). I don't know that I'd hire someone who wants to bring their own kid to watch my 8....Kate's said (and I'm sure Jon has too) that she can't do it alone - like the camping episode. I'm sure it's a million times easier having two people and I only have two kids! Do they just have one nanny at a time? What makes it ok for the nanny to be there with at least 8 kids but the parents need help while they're there? That just confuses me sometimes??

We watched the backyard campout episode last night, and both hubby and I cried off and on throughout. She seems SO much happier. She seems so much calmer.

On the other hand, she made a comment to one of the kids, about how yes they are providing enough smoke to the whole world, that if she had said it to Jon, people would have gone on about how mean she is, whereas to her son it's just a funny cute statement.

the twins do attend a private school .. the school has a zero tolerance policy regarding the media/paps.

This is probably a dumb question - did the school have this policy regarding media prior or was this policy developed for the Gosselins?

Who are Kate's friends and hanger oners?

I'd think this is more to Jon right now with the girl friends. I could see Kate's "best friend's husband" and the kitchen remodel....

Didn't watch - was she speaking like that again? I really wish her PR people would hire somebody to train her on how to speak better during interviews. She's so painful to watch sometimes.

Can you "train" someone to do that though?? I also think that both J&K have the "umm" problem....

Her PR people are good. I've said that from the beginning. And not only are they good, Kate listens to them.

I thought she looked nice. Appropriate. The color suits her much more than the green dress she's so fond of.

I think the listening part is key personally. People can "advise" you all day long but if you're not willing to listen to what they're saying and adapt it to your life/situation, it's useless.

I think it was live .. Meredith is wearing the same clothes in the interview as she did on today's show, LOL

And I did think it was odd she didn't know when Jon moved out. She knows, she's just not saying because it won't work with her timeline, IMO.

I agree Meredith had the same clothes on. But maybe when she interviewed Kate, she was told to wear that suit, and then Today, she had to wear that suit again. The whole interview was just seemed way to good, scripted, etc. Kate started crying, and then her tears dried up just like that. Right after the interview, Meredith was outside again, and Lisa Kudrow walked up and discussed a new movie she was in, that was going to be in theatre's soon. Now that interview was unscripted.

Meredith had to be doing a lot of running in and out of the building. They were taping outside all morning.

no idea. someone here pointed out the no tolerance at the school deal, and I've seen it mentioned in an interview somewhere else. I haven't seen it expanded on any further.

Please tell us how. My DH does it all the time & it drives me crazy. We work together & he does it when he is thinking. He also says "you know"?
