Jon and Kate Plus 8, Official Thread-Part 3

The show's stories are planned in advance and IMO it's a bit questionable that going to Charm City Cakes was a 'surprise' to Kate. Or I'll take back my words when I see the show.

The last couple of seasons have been about traveling from one resort or amusement park or show to the next. It sounds like this season is going go be filled with appearances with other show's stars (Emeril, Duff, and I wouldn't be surprised if Clinton and Stacy didn't appear, too) and of course the surprise trip they keep teasing us with.

They're obviously working hard to produce new shows - when they have the time to do it all, I don't know; and what's going on behind the fence at the Gosselin's that we need to know that might effect the storyline that they have to work it into the show? If it's just to address the subject then why not just do that during a couch interview?

Yeah, I can't see it being a surprise as Kate and Jon both have said that they work hours and hours in production meetings.

"The next story coming out from the animals that stalk us is about our security person and his family," Kate tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Already the allegations they're making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified."

"These are people who absolutely love us and want to see us through to the end," Kate says of Neild and his family. "Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we've spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it's very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team ... they're the only people you have left. And now they're coming under fire."

With few close companions, and her marriage to Jon hitting a rough patch, Kate says she is terrified that this latest round of stories will drive away the friends she and her family have left. "I'm totally panicking, and thinking, 'We are going to lose our last set of friends.' I keep calling them, begging, 'Seriously, I'm so sorry. Don't run away from us.' They keep saying, ‘We're fine, we're fine.' But they have paparazzi in front of their house. It's so upsetting."

Most troubling to her is the realization "we opened our world to this," she says, adding, "but we willingly made a conscious decision to put this out there. Our friends and family did not. I had no idea we would potentially take down the people that we love around us."

She adds: "It's like saying, 'Thanks for your support, let me sic the paparazzi on you.' It's very very difficult. It leaves us, essentially, alone and friendless. It's terrible.

Ultimately, Kate says she does not know what she can do to stop the insanity. "The scary thing for me is [the tabloids] are going to take information and create a story. It's a matter of, 'When will they stop?' They're going to keep going, and they'll make up stuff to connect the dots."

Kate clears the air about the other tabloid reports – including her feelings about her husband's bar-hopping and her plans for her family's future – in the upcoming issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

after reading the People article upthread, I'm not sure I can see the trip to Korea happening... unless Kate is taking the children on her own. It's clear (IMO) that she and Jon are NOT together... I can't envision them taking a trip like that and making it look like they are. Neither of them are that good at the acting.

I could be way off base on that, I really could .. but I don't know ... I just can't see it happening.

I saw Kate on Rachael Ray today...they talked, she mentioned her books, they did a couple of crafts with Kate mentioning how glue sticks are much neater than liquid glue . Kate brought gift bags for the audience-I think Eight Little Faces was in it, I know Rachael said there was a gift card from Walmart, and also a Health Tex children's outfit which Kate helped design! They showed the outfit-it was cute.

I find it very sad that the only people that are friends of theirs now are people that they pay. They have alienated themselves so much that that is the only way they can have "friends."

Also, she doesn't know how to stop it? She can't be serious, right? I mean there is an obvious way to stop it. My question is why haven't the Paps gone after the Duggars or the Roloffs or the Table for 12 people?

Wow. I'm nearly speechless. This is really sad, to have driven away all your other friends to the point that you're panicked about losing your new ones? And these new friends are your security people? Well, I guess that clears up the question of where Beth, Carla and Aunt Jodi are. She really has driven them away. Wow, she said that this security guy and his family are all they have left in the way of friends/family? Wow.

I also found it VERY interesting that she vehemently shot down these rumors about her and this security guy but didn't exhibit the same kind of fierceness when Jon was accussed of cheating. What a complete and total mess. No wonder none of their family has intervened, she's cut them all out of her life. I hope that one of them intervenes anyway for the sake of the kids. This mess isn't going away anytime soon and the kids need better care and consideration for their well-being. Ugh, I'm just so disgusted with her and Jon.

I wish she'd shown the same amount of emotion and outrage about the things that were said about her husband and their marriage as she did about her bodyguard. Why finally speak out because of an article that finally identified the bodyguard? The rumors about her and him have been circulating for quite some time, but it wasn't till he was identified that she spoke out.

I think she was honest about a lot of things in the article, but went a little too far in reaching for the 'sympathy for Kate' votes. It's sad that she didn't incorporate her family and husband more prominently in the statement.

It's sad that their lives have come to this but they wanted and worked hard for this fame and know that they can get out of their contract at any time and return to life as they used to know it --- if they want to. But, Kate made it clear to everyone that she was happy with life as it was at the end of last season and she wasn't changing a thing. You reap what you sow and I guess Kate has gotten a taste of the unpleasant by-product of some of her labors. And sadly, I think the show will still go on.....full speed ahead.

Kate crafting? Seriously? I thought she was the anti-craft... she's pretty much said as much over the seasons. And designing clothes for Health-tex .. hmmmm.

Kate must not be a spokesperson for Kmart anymore.... and I'll happily add that to the list of reasons I won't support Walmart

And for anyone that thinks that Kate Gosselin has an interest in returning to regular life? Forget. It. Kate will have to lose her popularity (ending up on the dollar bookshelf, etc) before she quits.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. I am with DreaGirl. Kate can celebrate her b-day with her children and Duff on her own. Though my family and I enjoy Duff and his crew, we will be skipping that episode.

And some of you noticed the conviction that she had when speaking out against her affair with her bodyguard. She was "horrified". I'm horrified. She makes me sick. She's hesitant to believe that any of this is true with Jon, yet she's "horrified" when something comes around on her. I just don't know anymore. I think she and Jon are both lying. That's just me, though.

I agree. Kate is always saying how the film crew love the kids, the babysitters love them, the body guards love them. Yet these people are paid to be apart of their lives. They seem to have a lot of people "who love them" just suddenly disappear from their lives. I am sure the film crew, bodyguards, etc are fond of them or their kids but I don't buy the fact that the all "love" them. Kate really is narcissistic.

That's 100% correct! She does say that...the camera crew loves them, etc. What about their grandparents? What about their aunts, uncles and cousins? Those are the people that the kids should be receiving love from, not the TLC paid crew. It's just getting stranger and stranger. I really feel for the kids, I wonder how they're doing.

Yes, but in Kate's defense she wasn't caught coming out of a bar at 2 a.m. with his security guard calling him "Babe". Unless something happened that I missed. Of course at the rate this story is unfolding (and this thread is moving) it is very possible that I missed it.

I really have no comment at this point on anything. It's all very hard to beleive honestly.
