Blogger The Truth Will Set You Free said...

Sick, Sick, Sick!! I have never known someone who is so comfortable telling lie after lie!

Most troubling to her is the realization "we opened our world to this," she says, adding, "but we willingly made a conscious decision to put this out there. Our friends and family did not. I had no idea we would potentially take down the people that we love around us."

Stop playing the victim, Kate (that's Jon's role)!

"It's like saying, 'Thanks for your support, let me sic the paparazzi on you.' It's very very difficult. It leaves us, essentially, alone and friendless. It's terrible."Friends and family were not run off by the paparazzi. I wrote almost a year ago that there was no one left in their life who wasn't getting paid. That was long before the paparazzi became an issue. Now she's worried about losing her only "friend"--someone who is reportedly getting paid $1600/day to be by her side.

The truth: Kate isolated her family last year when she decided to turn her family into a business. She hired a manager/PR and they got to work making everyone believe she is "supermom".

"It leaves us, essentially, alone and friendless. It's terrible."Now this is the truest thing I have ever heard her say. Kate, you are alone and friendless because of your choices. Don't try to blame anyone else for your miserable life!

I said this a year ago and I'll say it again, Kate does not care about what is best for her children. It has always been about what Kate wants! I would think this is becoming more obvious as the truth is being revealed!

That is interesting. An, if true that kate has run her family and close friends off, not unusual. I think it happens in RL all the time. I also think that when the dust settles, the people that really love you are there to pick up the pieces and still love you. Sad, but a true fact of life. I see it happen and hear about it alot. And we're not talking celebrity TV either.

And, there is always this to think about to--how do the people around you view you? Is it always fair? Or always in the right light? Would your MIL or SIL, sister, cousin, cousin's husband,or aunt's sister always say the nicest warm fuzzies about you? Maybe you are lucky and they would. But often we here close friends and family say not so nice things about other family members. Maybe you don't even know what they say or how they describe you to others. I do hair for a living and do a lot of people who lives are intertwined. Sometimes it is shocking what people will say! Anyway, just offering another way of looking at this. While I feel sure J&K have isolated themselves from family and friends, I still think it all gets blown out of proportion.

I know I read on another board that Amy was also gone a lot of last summer doing speaking engagements and such. There have been rumors of problems in their marriage for a while. One of the rumors has been that Amy doesn't want to keep doing the show, whereas Matt does. Sound familar? I haven't really watched much of the newest season, but you can definitely see a change between her and Matt.

I remember an episode where Amy went to meet with her brothers and sisters and she cried a lot and went to do like an Indian healing/cleansing something-or-other. She seemed to feel a lot better then after that, but she talked about making some "changes". I wondered then if she was leaving Matt, but it doesn't seem that way since they are still together. Then the friction between her and Matt on the vacation that he actually didn't really go on made me wonder again.

I guess time will tell on this one.

:scared1: Wow! I hate to say it but I think alot of us were right, that she will leave Jon and probably continue the show. How can all this fame and fortune be worth this? I don't get it. Sounds like she knew about Deanna too before Jon was caught on camera. Those poor kids.

She's embroiled in a public scandal linking her husband, Jon Gosselin, to another woman, and Kate Gosselin tells PEOPLE in its latest cover story that she and her spouse have been privately struggling for months.

"I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing," she says quietly. "I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this person?' for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights."

The name to which Kate refers belongs to 23-year-old Deanna Hummel, whose brother later claimed she'd been having a months-long affair with Jon.

For Kate, who has referred to her husband as "my balance, my strength and my stability," to now consider a future apart has been heartbreaking but not impossible. "You can't imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months," she says.

"It's a lot like when I was first pregnant with the babies, and it was pure shock and denial. But over time I imagined six cribs in my house, and six car seats. When your mind is ready to go there, you can accept any number of scenarios."

Kate does have hope, however, that her marriage can be saved. "I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again," she says.

For the complete story on Kate and Jon – including how they're weathering the scandal and what their eight children think – pick up the new issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

Family Member: Jon Gosselin Grew Suspicious of Kate and Her BodyguardUs Magazine - 46 minutes ago

The new issue of Us Weekly reports that Jon & Kate mom Kate Gosselin grew so close to her bodyguard, Steve Neild, it caught the attention of her husband, Jon -- and has become the talk of many locals in their Berks County, Pennsylvania, community. Since May 2008, Kate has made 50 public appearances, criss-crossing the country, often with Neild by her side, as Jon stayed home with the kids. Even when at home -- whether at Starbucks or at restaurants -- Neild has been a constant companion to Gosselin, who is estranged from her family and viewed in town as not having friends.

"He threatened to hire a private investigator," a family source informed by Jon Gosselin tells Us.

The married Neild -- who once worked for Bill Clinton, and is often photographed not wearing his wedding band -- were "very physical, often touching each other," says an employee at a recent promotional appearance for their TLC reality show. "She was gently poking him, giving him little love pats, totally unlike the slapping she does with Jon. She and Steve were joking around so much, I actually wondered if they were having an affair. There's a lot of open affection between them." The employee adds Kate showed no affection at all to Jon at the same event.

(Neild's wife Gina, a one-time close friend of Kate's, tells Us local and online talk of an affair is "ridiculous"; Kate recently said she is "horrified" by any allegations suggesting she and Neild are romantically involved; TLC refused comment.)

Meanwhile, Us has learned that Jon has had more public trysts with 23-year-old third grade teacher Deanna Hummel than first reported.

The new Us Weekly confirms a mid-March date at the local Ruby Tuesday's that a waitress describes as "romantic and lovey-dovey." And on March 28, Hummel and a girlfriend attended Spring Gruv with Jon in Utah while Kate was away. On April 17 -- the day before Jon and Hummel were photographed at 2 a.m. leaving a club -- the two were caught on cell phone camera and were "all over each other" while watching band Dirty Penny perform at Paolo's Restaurant & Bar in Reading, Pa., a witness tells Us.

So what's next for the couple of nearly 10 years?

"Jon says it's over," says the family source. "Kate doesn't want to work on it, he doesn't want to work on it."

Jon and Kate: How Much Money Is at Stake? Us Magazine - 39 minutes ago

Amy Sussman/Getty Images Us Magazine. The Gosselins make up to $75,000 per episode on their TLC hit, Jon & Kate Plus 8, for a 20-episode season -- and that's not even counting all their freebies!

As the Los Angeles Times reports that TLC is scrambling to find a way to revise the May 25 season premiere given the latest news on the couple, the delicate balancing act of how to incorporate reality into a heavily produced "reality" show is in the balance.

For the Gosselin clan, it's not just their show -- but their lifestyle -- that hang in the balance.

Kate, who grew up in a trailer park and didn't go on her first airplane ride until her honeymoon to Disney World, now flies only first class for speaking engagements (mostly paid for by churches), sells signed photos of her kids for $20 a pop at appearances, and received a free tummy tuck after giving birth (Jon received a free hair transplant). A family source says while pregnant with the sextuplets, she grew "obsessed" with how many goodies the famed McCaughey septuplets received in 1997.

Jon, now a stay-at-home dad, was fired from his job at Style Craft Corp in 2004 after "spending much more time" on a "quest" for freebies than working, the company's owner, David Rothermel, tells Us. (Rothermel finally has spoken out after growing furious at the couple's well-worn claim that he was fired because the company didn't want to insure his family.)

"Instead of keeping the attention on their kids, they've let the attention turn to money and fame," says a family source of Jon and Kate, who, according to Nielson Media Research, are ranked No. 8 on the list of cable shows with the most product placement.

Marc Berman, senior television editor at Mediaweek, says producers cannot continue to portray the Gosselins as an everyday family trying to raise eight kids.

"Their lives have changed - they're not struggling anymore," Berman tells Usmagazine.com. "They're eating at fancy restaurants now. Yeah, they still have eight children, but things are different.

Below, a sample of just some of the swag they've scored:

- Free beds
- Front-loader washing machines
- New furniture
- Free solar panels for "Going Green" episode
- Clothes from Gymboree and Gap
- Mady & Cara birthday at American Girl Place (2 dolls and birthday package for 2 adults & 2 kids): $710
- Trip to Florida Key's for Jon's 30th birthday
-Tickets to Dutch Wonderland amusement park: $309.50
-1/2 an organic cow from Natural Acres Farm: $1,395.00
-Tickets to Philadelphia Zoo: $104.00
-Tickets to Walt Disney World: $654.00 per day
- Utah house rental (estimate: $5,000), ski lift tickets $72 for six days), ski school lessons ($140 per child)
- Upright piano, which they got rid of when they moved into their new $1.1 million home : $5,550-$6,350
- Violin: $100-$300
- Old house re-carperted
-Crayola Factory Tour: $90.00
-Teeth Whitening (for Jon & Kate): $1,310 (average price for 2 adults)

-Day with Thomas the Tank Engine: $180.00
-Beach trip to North Carolina, house rental, Jeep tour

-2 purebred German Shepherd puppies: $1,000-$3,000 per dog
- Please Touch Museum tickets: $150.00
- Giants grocery store: $5,000 in gift cards and a year's supply of diapers

In order for the show to survive, Mediaweek's Berman says the Gosselins need to be upfront with the audience.

"They're now a celebrity couple," says Berman. "The emphasis of the show has changed, and they need to address how they've evolved."

"If they don't evolve the show, I think the audience is going to be upset,"
he tells Us. "You can't fool an audience."

oh, Kate grew up in a trailer park!? That explains ALOT about her. She is trying to WAY overcompensate for that.

uh, no, not at all harsh. I think Kate is all about the camera time. And the speaking time. and the look at me time.

Wow! Everyday more and more interesting stuff comes out. That people magazine cover is interesting too!!

This is interesting, indeed. She looks quite lovely on the cover of that magazine, almost like the young girl she was in her wedding video and honeymoon videos.

I feel for her, but then I wonder if she is suddenly not handling this so privately b/c she realizes it is getting her more camera time?

Am I being too harsh?

I think this is a calculated move on her part. She is trying to get ahead of this whole thing and salvage what she can of her future career. If the show is going to end, I think she is trying to keep a favorable image for herself so maybe some other aspects of the career can continue. The endorsements, clothing line, cookbook, maybe other books in the future, as a single mom of eight kids. I think most people, who are just casual watchers of the show, would sympathize with her. I saw her yesterday on Rachel Ray and I felt she was sympathetic!

That thought crossed my mind as well!

I think Jon and Kate are past the point where this can be a private thing now. She is in damage control mode and really the best thing they can do at this point is come out with the truth about it. I feel terrible for all of them, no matter what--no one deserves this.

I sure have missed seeing the kids lately, I hope those little darlings are doing okay through all of this. Is there really any way that Mady and Cara don't know about it? They must know.

THIS QUOTE FROM KATE MAKES ME WANNA BARF :scared1:
she is so full of herself

""Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we've spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it's very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team ... they're the only people you have left. And now they're coming under fire," she said. "

TLC REALLY needs to drop this show. This family is falling apart before a watching tv nations eye. It is so sad.

Well no going back now for sure. Aunt Jodie and Kate's brother Kevin gave an exclusive interview to Star. The whole thing is pretty much out there now. Jon knew about the affair with the body guard and went to kevin Kate's brother. Jon signed a contract to stay on the show and he could have a girlfriend. I feel so sorry for the kids and the poor folks who spent their money on a fraud. No better than Tammy Faye and Jim Baker. I think even the Kate supporters love Aunt Jodie and see she really only wanted the best for the kids, soo sad:( Check out Starmagazine.com for a preview

The photo of her, is the shirt she wore, when she went shopping on Saturday.

She sure moves fast with her emotions.
She has had
1. Shock
2. Denial
3. We didn't get to witness the anger
4. I think right now she is in her "numbness" stage. There is no acceptance or forgiveness.

I just feel bad for the children. It's just a whole bunch of immature adults that don't know how to deal with anything and is basically screwing everything up. Who's thinking about the children and how all this will affect them in the future? When they REALLY get to understand everything that went on? Everybody is coming out with something to say, tangling this web even more and it's getting ridiculous.

I would totally sympathize with her if she was nice to him and this happened to her. I would think it would be awlful enough for any woman to have this happen, much less having it happen in front of the nation. BUT, she is a BEAST to him. She needs major counseling (as does he for putting up with her) She is downright abusive most of the time. And when she is not verbally attacking him, she is dismissing him. Most men would react the same way he has. It is not right what he has done, but I know many men have told me the same thing. When their masculinity and worth is constantly questioned, they need to prove that they are still masculine and worthy to someone. He is proving to himself (in an unhealthy way) that the problem is Kate, and that other woman still find him worthy. Kate is an idiot for not realizing this. Even the seemingly devoted ones will feel this way. (May not act on it if they are worth their weight, but they WILL feel this way)

I think Aunt Jodie in all of this mess was genuine. She kept her mouth shut for a long, long time. I am glad that she has finally spoken up and her husband as well. The thing that MUST be done is counselling for those kids. I don't care if they are in private or public school they know what is going on. Talk to an adult who went thru parental infidelity and they will tell you how they blamed themselves how it affected their relationships with the opposite sex, their self esteem. This went on too long and at the cost of the innocent, JMO.

If you haven't been to People mag online yet...do so. I'm glad to see she is admitting that there is a struggle and that they might split. It makes her feel real again as a person. Someone who isn't perfect and needs support. I actually felt bad for her. Not that I didn't before but she just has a coldness to her now that it's hard to feel anything for her. Of course Id be cold too if my marriage was crumbling around me.

I do hope they can find a place where they can stay together. I mean it wasn't too long ago that they renewed their vows.

I agree, but he definitely needs help for how he has been putting up with her. No matter what, you are MARRIED, cheating is NEVER the answer. He had MANY options as to what to do with the way she treats him, be it counseling or divorce. Cheating just made him looking weaker than Kate already made him look. I know PLENTY of men who would've done the same thing but I also know PLENTY of men that would've checked Kate a long time ago and would NEVER go for that treatment. That's probably what she wanted but never got it so just kept going at him until it blew up in her face like this.
