Well no going back now for sure. Aunt Jodie and Kate's brother Kevin gave an exclusive interview to Star. The whole thing is pretty much out there now. Jon knew about the affair with the body guard and went to kevin Kate's brother. Jon signed a contract to stay on the show and he could have a girlfriend. I feel so sorry for the kids and the poor folks who spent their money on a fraud. No better than Tammy Faye and Jim Baker. Ugh! I just read it in Star Magazine and I feel sick! Literally ill. Those 2 have got to be the worst parents ever to have graced this earth. I can't believe what I just read. I feel like crying for the Gosselin kids, they did not deserve this and their little lives are going to be changed forever now. How could J&K have completely forsaken their kids this way? I'm at a loss but I truly feel sickened by this couple. What sorry excuses for parents. Please let Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin have the kids while this mess is straightened out. What must Cara and Mady be thinking? I don't believe for a second that they're unaware. Kids are very perceptive and can pick on parents attitudes and behaviors. This truly is sad, not for the 2 idiots but for all their beautiful kids. Wow, they sure fooled plenty of people then.

I agree with the above posts, the kids need to go to counseling. As a child of cheating/messy divorce, my mom put my sister and I in counseling even though I didn't want to go. Well, my counselor was incredible and I cried and poured my heart out to her. I was afraid to talk to my Mom about how I was feeling because she was so sad about my dad's affair. The counselor was a HUGE help and I really feel the Gosselin kids are going to need it. Poor Cara and Mady, they are going to be affected by this more than the younger ones I think. How sad. Went on the TLC web site to see if they had a message board, where I could post and say don't air this show any longer. Didn't find that, but did find the J and K shop, where I can buy my J and K +8 gear

Reading the article in People broke my heart. I just think of those darling 8 kids and how their lives are going to be changed by all of this.

I'm not the biggest fan of Jon and Kate and how they interact with each other, but no on would wish this outcome on them. I just hope that they can work things out, but it doesn't look good. I wonder how Jon feels seeing Kate do this interview with People - I hope he knew about it beforehand. Seems like a pretty classless move to me; on the one hand, she's doing interview after interview about how they want to keep their personal struggle private and then she does an interview with People. The cynical side of me wonders if she did that for the $$$ too.

I personally could see their dynamic change this previous season. No longer was his arm around her on the interview couch and they lost that playful banter they once had; it really seemed like they were trying to keep as much physical distance from each other as possible. It also spoke volumes to me that at the last episode of the season, he's talking about not wanting to do the show anymore and she's adament that they do. I'm sure that at $75K a pop it would be hard to stop doing the show but from where I sit, if Kate in particular was serious about fixing their marriage, she would have listened to Jon and let it go so they could work on things in private. Not that she's the only one at fault; it takes two to tango, and if his cheating is true, he's a cad and a loser, but it certainly might have helped things if they had stopped the show.

And now it really boils down to those poor kids and how their lives are going to change; I just can't imagine.

It all seems sad, but I will say I'll wait until the story comes out in a better magazine than the Star. No matter how her brother and Aunt Jodie feel about Kate, it sure wasn't in the best interest of the children to be paid to put this story in the Star.
If Jon did go to them, then Jon is a bigger fool than I thought he was. Why would he go to them, knowing it would surely get out. Better he tried to work it out first with his wife. As much as most people don't care for Kate, I wonder if she's always had a big burden, trying to deal with Jon, and that is why she acted like she did a lot towards him. Who knows how long he has cheated on her. And it does look like he lied about why he was fired. It appears it was because he was always on the computer looking for freebies, vs working. He announced he was fired because his company didn't want to insure them. That isn't what the company says.
I do hope it comes out that Kate wasn't cheating...I would like to see someone in the family stick to their vows.
I wonder if Kate wanting to continue the show, she saw the end with Jon, and figured this might be her only chance to keep the money coming in. Kate, the single mom with 8 kids. It surely would be a 'real' reality show if she actually stays home. Hopefully they have banked a lot of the money..and not wasted it all on Jon's cars and girlfriend.

This is why Kate went on the defensive so much this week she knew that when Aunt Jodie would speak people would listen. It is so sad for those kids. I have friends in their 40's who are still dealing with the mess cheating parents caused themmentally. They have tried to marry a person like the mom or dad and fix them like they could not as kids. This is really serious and terrible stuff. I am mad that Kate is trying to put the whole thing, IMOP, on Jon. You get married, I have been for 20 years, to be married to work at it The good the bad the ugly. You communicate. We were 6 kids in my family my mother LOVED my father and it destroyed her when he died 8 years ago. We did not have money or trips to Disney we had love. Forgot to add my mom has her 6 kids 12 grandkids to love her and appreciate that she was a SAHM and put us first always. She went w/o so we could all have braces and go to college. She never did for herself not once.Now we do for her,

A bit OT - I posted this on the BB (budget board) but wanted to share here as well as we can never be too safe anymore:

I just attended an AMAZING presentation this morning on safety both in and out of the workplace. It was free to attend as the speaker is FREE. He will come and speak to your group as well for FREE so long as you have 25 people in attendance. He kept his talk down to just about an hour but we covered SO much information and the time literally flew by. He said we would cover about 25 topics in the hour and I honestly believe that he did without rushing through anything. We talked about parking lot safety, car jackings, drugs, concealed weapons, personal safety, things to keep your home safe, the list goes on and on. I really can't say enough good things other than I would have listened to him talk ALL DAY!

He also had products that he and his department endorse for sale (you do NOT have to purchase anything if you don't want to!!) including child safety kits so you can get DNA and fingerprints of your kids.

The gentleman's name is AJ Gwyn and he is the commander of the Southern Crime Prevention Task Force. You can check out their website at southerncrime.net and contact him from there I'm sure. He said they travel to all 50 states so please, if you can get a group of 25 people together, take advantage of this offering!!

If I can give you any more information, please let me know. It certainly was worth while and we're in the process of seeking approval for him to come and speak to all three shifts of our firefighters - that's how informational it was.

I am in no way affiliated with that group (I wish I was - they do amazing work!!!) but since us "commonfolk" don't get to have security like celebrities, we can all use the extra FREE help we can get!

Back OT - I really can't wait for the new season to see how much the kids have grown and changed. I so hope they're doing well despite every entertainment/tabloid outlet covering their parents every move. J&K's days now must simply consist of monitoring blogs, websites and trying to make the latest and greatest comments.....

I disagree with the bolded part. Kevin and Jodi have been extremely quiet about J&K and their feelings about the whole show. I think they came forward so people would know once and for all and that it would put a stop to the show. I'm not surprised Jon went to Kevin, they seemed to be pretty good friends before and I'm sure he thought Kevin would be able to help or offer good advice. That doesn't seem strange to me. It sounds like he did confront Kate and that is why she drew up some insane contract for him to have a girlfriend so long as he did the show. This is crazy, it's like a bad Lifetime movie, isn't it? Apparently their big vow renewal was all for the show too then? How could they have strayed so far since then?

This is on People.com. Looks like she's finally admitting to problems. Poor kids. And yes, I feel sorry for both adults.

She's embroiled in a public scandal linking her husband, Jon Gosselin, to another woman, and Kate Gosselin tells PEOPLE in its latest cover story that she and her spouse have been privately struggling for months.

"I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing," she says quietly. "I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this person?' for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights."

The name to which Kate refers belongs to 23-year-old Deanna Hummel, whose brother later claimed she'd been having a months-long affair with Jon.

For Kate, who has referred to her husband as "my balance, my strength and my stability," to now consider a future apart has been heartbreaking but not impossible. "You can't imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months," she says.

"It's a lot like when I was first pregnant with the babies, and it was pure shock and denial. But over time I imagined six cribs in my house, and six car seats. When your mind is ready to go there, you can accept any number of scenarios."

Kate does have hope, however, that her marriage can be saved. "I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again," she says.

They don't post the schedule too far out but I don't see her listed for the rest of the week. They only show Elizabeth Edwards as upcoming for next week. Hmm, maybe Kate can be on next week as well and The View can run a theme week.

Honestly I thought it was a joke anyway. They were celebrating "9" years not a milestone like 10 so it always felt to me like it was just a free vacation with the renewal thrown in to make good tv and to hit the crossover for the dress shoping.

Plus Kate always wanted to be married in Hawaii.
She said when she first got married, neither family was able to go, so she settled on her wedding in PA.

I think in our Part 2 thread, we all said, a vow renewal is "Kiss of Death" of a relationship. Who would of thought?

And-I know many people have renewal's of their vows at WDW, but this wasn't a vow renewal, it was a do-over for Kate.
