Did she say on Oprah today that she worked after the sextuplets were 1?

Didn't see the show today but I know she did work a couple of weekends a month for awhile, I think she was a nurse.

I just don't see the no shoe rule as a big thing. :confused3 I guess since I lived in Alaska for almost 6 years I don't see as a big deal because up there you always removed your shoes when you went into someones house. It was pretty much the rule at everyone's house, some people even had a sign on their door, "Please Remove Shoes".

I couldn't care less about her no shoes rule. Whatever. I was commenting because she said it doesn't apply to her (just her) because with her heels she, "appears taller and thinner."

They didn't really show too much of the bedrooms in the old house, anyway. They showed the empty rooms when they were being redone, some baby shots and a few of them getting ready for bed.

I don't agree here. DNiece will be seven in July. Shortly after she turned six, she wanted her privacy. Couldn't have cared less when she was five. Would run around the house in underwear all the time if they let her. :rotfl: Maybe the kids are just now aware of their own space and privacy.

I think we've agreed to disagree on the kids nakedness before, LOL .. I think they should have been paying more attention to that before they did. And I don't think they should have ever been in the rooms, other than the crib days, no matter what the reason. There was plenty of other rooms in the old house to film in. I also remember being aware that there were cameras in the rooms when they showed footage of the kids "napping"

Thankfully, they're aware of the need now. Especially for Cara and Mady.

Even when Kate is having her moments, I find her much more entertaining on the show than on her appearances.

Oh, I definitely agree. Now more than ever. But, I wonder how much footage they have to go through to find enough for the show? :upsidedow

Very cute how one of the little girls (I still have trouble telling any of them apart besides Aaden, and that's only because of the glasses) kept kissing Cara. DS and DNiece like to hug all the time and would totally be doing the same thing. :goodvibes
I thought that was cute, too!

LST, I thought the same about the sundresses and the weather ... but if Gymboree wants a bounce off the appearance, then they'll want the kids in Easter clothes.

:rotfl2: DH was reading a paper while waiting for the bus in nyc and ran across the cheating article- with the college co-ed pictures. He emails his "news"
But what made me giggle was his last line and I quote

"See what happens when you sew a piece of rug to your head."

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Cute husband.

I agree w/ above statement. I don't have a no shoe rule but thats because I have a dog. I'm not putting shoes on her everytime she goes out just so that I can take them off ;) .

Lurk on this thread but don't post much....a few questions if you guys don't mind?

Wondering how much plastic surgery Kate has had and what is up with her cheer mom hair gone bad?
(that's what we call it in the south;) )

Also, why does one of the little girls have her own bedroom? That doesn't seem right at all! This woman has such poor judgment sometimes.:confused3

Oh and about the shoe thing, we have a no shoes rule also, but most of the time it is not recognized by guests and I don't ask them to remove their shoes. My husband and kids know better though! Also, if you don't at least wear socks in a hotel you are CRAZY! Shoes on there!!!!

Ok madge - I watched your clips. I didn't think I probably should while at the fire station earlier! ;) She's kind of robotic it seems like she has some speaking points (or she's really not good at memorizing with all the "umms") and is trying to hit on everything but keep it the same as last time she spoke and not reveal too much to anyone. Like when she was talking about being provided with things beyond what she'd hoped/dreamed for (not exactly what she said but I assume she was talking about thinking/asking God for things and was "given" more than what she'd thought about) there was no example - many speakers would have said something along the lines of "like when I hoped for a van to get my family around and it worked out that now we've gotten so much more" or something like that. I'm kind of glad I didn't sit through - it would have been intersting to sit and listen to her but I think I would have walked away liking her less with her lack of personality.

As for the 25 minutes comment, it sounds like she thought she'd rambled on (this is where I think she might have only had talking points and not an entire speach) and was only given a certain amount of time to speak. Maybe she wanted to be sure that everything else was done to get on to the second service so she could get her speaking done and move on with her day.

Regarding the no shoes rule - I do think that sounds like something Kate would say. Honestly, if she's wearing heels running around the house after 8 kids, how practical is that?? Yes it's one thing to look cute and another to be practical. (maybe that's just me??) In our house, we've always had a no shoe rule and enforce that wherever we go (friend's houses and such) with our kids - who knows what they've treked through during the day. My DS4 is a crazy shoe nazi - he will track people down and make them take their shoes off if they're lucky enough to get past the door without taking them off. It reminds me of Kate talking about the shoes and the handyman jumping and taking his off too! :rotfl:

I missed Oprah today - I'm going to have to watch it on line tomorrow night unless I can find it tonight. I'd thought I'd seen it on here at night on an "off" channel...I'm going to have to see if I can find it to dvr it tonight.

They said that Hannah gets migraines so that is why she has her own room. I don't think that is poor judgment. It's what works best for their family right now. I only have 2 kids, but sometimes they shared a room and sometimes they had their own...depended on what worked better for our family at the time.

I have concrete floors so I don't have a shoe rule, but if I did, I sure as heck would enforce it.

I'm a rebel and go barefoot in hotels!! But then again I walk around in my horse pasture barefoot sometimes...;) Like I said before....I freaking hate shoes...

i'm sorry, but. this last season episode was the most ORANGE I have seen Kate ever! She looks ridiculous!

Loved seeing the pups tonight.

BUT, what was Jon thinking? Honestly, you just got the pup from the vet after surgery and letting it run around, but you have a crate?

It appears to me that with Kate travelling all of the time now it is like she is punishing Jon and making him take care of the kids, dogs, etc. She is soo disconnected with Jon it is awful.

Looks, like they got all new furniture to in the new house!!!!!!!!!

The hair...so, I don't mind the stripes, think they're kinda cute, actually (but, I'm a part-time stylist, so highlights = $$$ to me ;)). If the front were shorter or the back were a little longer...cute! I would vote to have the back a little longer because I don't really like spiky hair on women, but that's just a personal thing.

I also have a sleep sack for hotels. :lmao:

on a totally unrelated note, I'm totally hooked on the Little People, Just Married show. :)

I'm enjoying the puppies. They're making the show for me. :P
