Call me blind, I guess, but I don't think she looks that bad for a chick in her
60's(maybe even 70's---there's discrepancies I've seen regarding her birthdate). Lips are a little off, but I've seen lots of star lips that disappeqr without lipstick.

Has she been burned? Maybe she has a condition. It looks like her eyebrows have been tattoed on.

I do remember seeing her (looking more like the inset photo) after some plastic surgery and thinking they didn't do a very good job. That was quite a few years ago.

Speaking of botched plastic surgery, have you seen Kate Jackson? She definitely looks odd.

It's not the texture of her skin, it's the color of it, and the eyebrows, and the eyeliner. Just so much wrong, I don't even know where to start.

I believe she started having plastic surgery around the time of the last season of Knot's Landing. She has probably had touch ups since then - it appears as though they didn't age well.

I wish actors and actresses would just age gracefully without feeling the need to eliminate every line from their faces. They end up just looking scary!

Whoa... I saw the 'current' picture on one of the gossipy websites and it didn't even occur to me who she was until you posted the 'older' picture of her.

Very Sad... Why do people do this to themselves? What's wrong with having a few wrinkles? I think my Mom is pretty and she's had no work done at all.

It almost looks as though she is bruised - maybe she recently had surgery and it hasn't finished healing? I do know that with almost any plastic surgery procedure you look worse before you look better. Maybe that is the case here. I can't imagine what else would cause that bruised look.

I think she needs just some light self-tanner, lipgloss, and to tone down the brow and eye makeup. Plastic surgery-wise, I think she looks good. She still looks like herself, unlike a lot of celebs who have bad plastic surgery.

According to IMDB, she is 64 years old.

You should see her in a MASH episode on DVD I was just recently watching. It was probably the second season around 1973 and she was just beautiful.

I recognized her right away and that picture from TMZ caught me off guard. She was always beautiful IMO, and I'm sadden to see her go the plastic surgery route. Does anyone remember how Priscilla Presley has changed her looks by having a face lift or face lifts? I wish they wouldn't do that, but it is their own choice after all.

Yeah, she actually LOOKS okay, it's her coloring that's off. Her face is too white, her lips are colorless and her eye make up too dark. She needs to get the coloring fixed, tanner/makeup.......then she'd look fine.

It looks as though she's not wearing foundation at all which is weird considering her heavy eye make-up. I don't know how much stock I'd put in that particular photo - I think sometimes horrible celebrity photos are published purely for shock value. Have you ever seen of the 'celebrities without makeup' shots? Joan would probably look lovely with the proper makeup and lighting.

This is why I don't understand either. I mean, a beautiful woman is always going to be beautiful, they just become older. I mean, these women were blessed by mother nature, why on Earth would they screw that up? Roles or no roles, I would just retire if I had to risk looking like some of these actresses after botched plastic surgery.

I look at Lauren Bacall and wish all actresses did what she has done. SHe has aged gracefully, and beautifully.
