Joan Van Ark... YIKES!

I don't know. You can bet I would have stayed home but then again, Like Judi, I won't be going under the knife (unless I got up the nerve to do my eyes because I have seen some nice eyes) otherwise, I'm going to age naturally and hope my DH's vision gets blurrier.

Thats just sad. :( Its sad these actresses feel they have to risk this sort of disfigurement in order to find work. :(

whats even sadder is that she ISNT finding work!

I say the pic HAS to be photoshopped....HAS TO BE!

I have one very simple question:

I realize that celebrities need to be in the spotlight, but why didn't she just stay home??? It makes me think that she doesn't see herself as we see her. Sort of like women who wear horrible make-up. Don't they see it when they look into the mirror???

I read the FOx article, and for someone who requires 4 hours of lighting to get it "perfect", she obviously doesn't put a much thought into what regular lighting reveals. It's sad, really. She can't keep doing that forever.

Thats a good point. She probably doesn't see herself like we do.

:lmao:

I hear that!

I've been trying to get up the nerve to have breast augmentation for so many years, until I read that they had to replaced on average, every 20 years.

Okay, at 30, I can see me in surgery, and even at 50, but I'll be darned if I'm going to go under the knife at 70 or 90, to have perkier ****s! I really don't think women who get them realize that they'll be in surgery again later in life, when it's much more riskier. :scared1:

My plastic surgeon told me AFTER my surgery that I would need to do a replacement in 10 years. Nothing that I had read nor had any of his pamphlets stated that the implants would need replacing. Had I known this before, I would not have had the surgery. Now, it's been 18 years and in the spring, I'm having them removed by another surgeon.

I will be having plastic surgery (hopefully sooner rather than later). I have no qualms about it whatsoever all with the exception of my eyes. I'm absolutely terrified to have anything done to my eyes. Maybe I'll eventually get over it but I'm terribly squeamish with anything to do with eyes. Thankfully, I have good eyesight, but if I didn't I don't even think I'd be able to wear contacts - I'm that bad about it.

That's a shame. Like I told my husband, there is going to be whole bunch of women in the near future that are going to have to go through this (and the expense) and then it'll start making the news.

Did you ever anything to your surgeon when he told you that? I had to do major digging to find the info that I found. It was some site that had percentages of post-issues with the surgery.
