I am here!! and no way miss marie, i wasnt posting for you to "be in" again! It is just something i know i need to be a part of, although it will probably be helping while my brother does the riding. It is an aamazing experience to be a part of, that is for sure!

Well good morning-
Its friday and while i should be teaching, i am home, still sick--I went to the dr yesterday and on top of the upper resp infection, sinus infection, i now have strep throat. Im feeling a bit better today, but no way i could go in.

I am going to take it easy today--Im thinking i will get a bit of homework done but save the majority of it for tomorrow. I just want to be a bum! I just cant relax when i know i have things to do-im a mess

BUT i am looking forward to next week--we have a half day on Friday and then i am OFF on presidents day!!!
Next week, i am still teaching 1 lesson a day-typically the themed art projects..Slowly, but surely, i am starting to get more comfortable..Started Feb 20, i will be teaching 2 lessons a day until March 12, when i start full time teaching.
I keep telling myself i can do this and its good that i am feeling more comfortable--before i know it, may 4 will be here and its going to be hard to leave those kids!

Well, time to get some work done, i want to be in bed soon..have a great weekend and thanks for checking in on my journal when i cant most as much!

Hi everyone-
I just spent some time reading through my journal some posts about Alyssa-Not sure why, but I have been thinking about her alot these last couple of days.
Because of that, i wanted to share a story with you-I know i told you ladies about the rainbow story after Alyssa died (its on page 76, post 1127).
A few weeks ago, i posted that my grandma was pretty sick--When my mom and i left the hospital, we were pretty down----i looked up and saw 2 beautiful rainbows--alyssa was looking out for grandma :

hi everyone-
i taught today for the WHOLE day! i got a call at 7am that my teacher was sick--i did have a sub, but i did alot by myself--i was proud that i could do it!

Other than that, im hangign in there--its been a sad couple of days, but im getting through..On the bright side, im extending my trip a day--instead of coming home the 22, were coming home the 23, due to the airline switching my flight--since they pushed it back 6 hours, i just switched the day!

Im sitting home, hoping for a snow day for otmorrow!Have a great night!

Well have to update--

We did close on Valentines day--and i had a 2 hour delay today!
My teacher is still out sick ( i feel so bad for her!) But tonight she told me she was proud of me for handling this so well! Thats such a huge confidence booster for me..im still nervous as heck, but after tomorrow, 5 weeks down--thats 1/3 of the way done!!!!!!

Ive been hanging in there and getting through student teaching day by day--I try not to think about it on the weekends, but im trying to make it better every day.
Today, im going to the library to work on a project with a friend then im headed to Kims house for a bit. Ive been so blah that it will be nice to go out!

Thanks for coming to say hello

Guess i should do a little update on whats going on-
This weekend was so much fun! On Saturday, my best friend, who i havent seen since December called me to see if i wanted to meet him for lunch-So i met him for a little bit, then went to the library , then went to Kims! We always have fun and i really needed the day out--so thanks Kim! We should do it again sometime (haha).

This week has gone pretty quickly. Monday i was off so i did NOTHING the whole day-i felt so lazy, but it was nice! This week, i started teaching reading..Its actually going better than i thought! I get observed tomorrowat 9:40 -so pleaseeee hope that i do good!
Today, we have a field trip and the cooperating teacher isnt there (her daughter is having a baby!!!!)--she feels so b ad but i told her that when i have a baby, im sure my mom will be at the hospital, so no worries!

Other than that-not much going on--ife been working, coming home, doing cleaning and lessons ,and going to bed--Tonight is greys anatomy (kim you better watch!)

WEll off to get ready for the rugrats

BIG EXCITING NEWS!!!!!

Today was my 2nd observation for student teaching--My cooperating teacher wasnt going to be there (her grandbaby was born last night!) but I had gone over my lesson last night with another teacher. This morning, i was nervous, but ready! My supervisor came in during my circle time and calendar and stayed until after i was done reading- So he was there for a good bit of time. I did my lesson and felt it went pretty well..>So afterwards, i go down and talk to him to discuss how thigns are going. He asked me (with a REALLY serious face) how i thought i did--so i told him i thought it went pretty well and he said it was EXCEPTIONAL !! He said my whole lesson was amazing (i just followed the lesson in the reading manual). So the good comments were: I am an "A" type teacher which is amazing, I am ahead of schedule, If he was looking at that lesson to determine if i would get a job-he would hire me, he couldnt find anything to say negative at all!!! his final comment that he wrote down on the form was.. "wow! An unbelievable lesson for your kindergarteners. You modeled, reinforced, and delivered your instructional goals exceptionally. Your ability to deliver a well planned lesson is ahead of schedule. a super job running solo too!"

I am SO excited i got such a good reaction....THEN it gets e ven better....another teacher told me that she has b een talking to the principal about me and are talking about offering me a first grade taeching position!!!!
