January Weight Loss Challenge - We Can Do This!!

I'm going to say 12 pounds for January. A bit ambitious, but achievable. And since I am hoping for 30 by mid-April, I need to be ambitious!..........P


Weighed in today.... down 5 pounds, so I am 5/12. Going to have to work hard for the additional 7 this month. Guess it's time to dust off the treadmill! Glad to see that so many others are having a good week. .................P

Hello everyone! So sorry I haven't been in to update. After we got back from WDW, we found our computer completely messed up and DH had to build a new one. I think we are finally up and running around here.

I will try to get all weights updated this afternoon. Looks like everyone is doing a great job so far!

I gained at WDW, so I am actually going to use that weight as my starting for this month and go from there.

So I am now at 3.4/10.
 
Hey everyone, Ok I just found this thread which Is totally awesome, and ive lost 2 pounds already this month and I am hoping to lose another 8. Thats the goal :thumbsup2

Good for all those who are already doing well... keep up the good work and keep us posted

When you're updating, there are a whole bunch of us (around 10 people) on page 3 of the thread who aren't on your list of challengers. I'd love to participate, and get a kick out of seeing my name.

Everyone is doing so amazing, let's not lose this momentum! :thumbsup2

I guess I'm the bum that messed up the momentum. I was so happy with my 7/10 midweek last week. But then I got on the scale Sat morning and I'd gained all that weight back. Guess it was the beers Friday night. Anyway... I went ahead and did my workout but when I got home I ate and ate and ate. Tried to climb back up on the wagon yesterday though. Didn't do as well as I wanted but wasn't as bad as Saturday. And... as one of my heroines is wont to note... after all tomorrow is another day. And that day is today... so here we go again.
 
Wow, some of you are almost to this month's goal and and it's only half way into the month. I have to say - I'm envious!

But serious, congrats on a job well done! I will have draw some inspiration from you guys, because right now, my will power reserves are definitely running low.

Hypermommy - Don't worry about, we have all been there. And alcohol does the same thing to me. During the fall I didn't drink at all and did so well with weight loss. On our trip, I got back into the habit of having wine with meals, as we did so much TS with the DlxDDP and now I am still doing it since being home, plus the ciders on Friday nights while playing Rock Band with DH after the kids are in bed. Ugh...I'm really going to have to stop that. But it's really the only way DH can get me to sing:rotfl:
Looking at your ticker, seems we have very similar weight loss goals. We'll have to support each other.
BTW...I just looked up your website and it looks so interesting! My DS8 did Scouts as a 1st grader, then we skipped out his year. We will be signing back up in the fall for him and for DS6.

I lost another 3 pounds:) Which puts me over my goal by .5 lbs. I set my goal small because I had just started and had no clue how well it would go. I'm so happy..this was the week of Aunt Flo too so I haven't gotten in a whole lot of exercise but YAY Another 3lbs down!
 
I've had so many carrots today I'm going to turn

And although I've only had 2 cups of water, I feel like I'm about to float away. So when you see that orange bouy floating out there in the ocean, stop by and say hi becuase it's me!

Y'all have some suggestions for other snacks I can have besides carrots? Not into celery. Prefer something salty, but I guess that's about out. I tried rice cakes once, years ago, and as I remember, cardboard is tastier.

Help?????
 
I forgot to check in last Tues when I weighed in, I am 1.6/7, I will weigh in tomorrow and give a total loss that way you only have to post it once, I am HOPING for at least a maintain, it was a tough weekend!

Got in my water and 2 days of SOME cardio but eating was tough, we had a bday party for DD and yesterday I could not get rid of that hungry feeling:(
