I have reservations already for the beach club villa studio room jan 12-19...if the discount for the general public comes out I am ahead of the game with already having a room booked that will be included in the discount correct. I see a lot of people who have the disney visa saying Poly is sold out (although this would not be a choice of mine anyway) so I really dont want to have to change resorts!! i love love the beah club..they have different inventory for general public correct?!?!?

Stink. I called today to switch from POP to POR under the SPD and there isn't anything available! We should have made the decision yesterday. What are the chances of rooms opening up again.

The R/O discount is 5% for BLT. As far as the s/p/d offer, it isn't listed on the list of excluded resorts, so hopefully someone can chime in and confirm either way.

Try calling back...ask again. Also, if you can move/add/subtract one day, sometimes that fits in a booking window.

I've seen resorts open up again, it is a pain, but you need to check almost every day. I've definitely be able to get a particular room category that was previously unavailable when I originally booked.

Thanks everyone. I'll just call every day, twice a day. Good news is I've already memorized my Resort number. So I can call with nothing in front of me. Even if we stay at POP we're still going to Disney!

we're doing a split stay, with the first day at "rack rate",
and then the discounted days check in afterward.
Make sure they link the multiple reservations so hopefully
you won't hafta changes rooms.

Are you picking up your tickets early to use during your room only portion? We also need to do a split stay and I am being told by cast members that we can not pick up tickets attached to a package early. We can put tickets on a room only ressie and use them into the package portion. It won't give us as much of a discount on the tickets, but for us the bigger savings is in the dining portion of PSD.
We are arriving on the 1st and doing a 4 nite stay with an 8 day hopper. Then switching to the PSD with dining and an 2 day hopper from the 5th to the 11th. We are not doing dining plan on the room only portion. I have checked with two different CM's about picking up tickets early & keep being told no - am I talking to the wrong people? Has anyone been able to do this? We would have to pick them up 3 days early.

It will be much easier once the deal is on the website to check availability. If you do see POR become available online, then you can just call and make the changes. I don't even know how many changes I made to one of our recent trips, it was kind of ridiculous.

Just called Disney Reservations again to ask about POR availability again. Never give up everyone. Cause as it turn out BOTH of the CM's told me wrong today! There were rooms at both PO's but they didn't look under the right discount. Not only did we get a King bed ( which was what we wanted ) but we got it at French Quarter! So excited

I think you've already seen that BLT only had 5% RO discount.

When I called in (no Disney Visa card yet), CM told me that I had PINs, and my RO discount PIN was good for 35% off at BLT -- unheard of! Even he was shocked because he's never seen that.

So maybe call to see if you have a PIN for RO discount that is different from what's going live on Oct 8th!
