So sorry to hear of your loss... will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Also, my sister and I are trying to plan our trip to Europe. I think we have pretty much decided that we are going to do an England/Scotland/Ireland trip. (My sister maintains this will be nice because we won't have to learn another language.) She has however promised me that at the end of our trip we will take at least 3 days and go to DisneyLand Paris!!!!!! That makes me a happy girl!

**Also, we had major snow last night...but it basically all melted today...this is such a strange time of year....but I'm thrilled for spring!**

WOW.... we loved Europe... been to Paris a few times... DLP once... it was beautiful....

I am so sick of snow.... would love for it all to be gone.....

Hi Snowbirdies...checking in to say good morning. I've been keeping busy. My little daycare girl's baby brother finally joined us so I've been busy getting my baby fix all day. My baby turned 2 and my other baby is getting ready to turn 5 so we're busy planning a joint birthday party for them. The theme you ask? Why Mickey and Minne of course! I'm even going to try my hand at making my own chocolate lollipops. I got the cutest chocolate mold last weekend. I'll let you know how they turn out.

We don't have any Disney plans as of yet. I'm trying desperately to get my dh to buy into the DVC- it feels like I'm giving him a root canal though. He's concerned about where the economy is going and he's probably right that we should wait.

I know I don't post much, but I wanted to share a picture from our trip. My husband took this using my head as a tripod! Sadly, we aren't planning a Disney trip yet, but I am going to NYC with my two daughters and former sister-in-law (I always got along better with my ex's family than with him-haha) in June. We're going to try to make this an annual trip. Anyway, hope everyone is well!

Hello there Snowbirds. I haven't been around much lately, work has been insane.

I spent a couple weeks in Scotland and England back in 1995! When are you going? I went in May. Bring raincoats and umbrellas. It's so beautiful and especially in Scotland the people are so friendly! They were awesome! Even though they speak English, I found them hard to understand, plus they use some different words for things. It's easy to get around though.
Right now I am watching the radar - we're supposed to get a major storm, but luckily I'm on the side that is supposed to be mostly rain, then only a couple inches of snow later. But after my white knuckle drive two weeks ago, I'm still planning to leave work early. I have to go pick up some new prescriptions. Turns out I have ruptured BOTH my eardrums and have a sinus infection. The drugs they gave me last week just weren't doing it, so I get more. Hopefully I will start to hear normally in about 3 days. It's driving me nuts, feeling like I'm walking around underwater or with cotton in my ears!

Hey birdies! I wish we had another trip planned. We have a "vague" plan of going next Jan/Feb, but nothing I can REALLY plan for yet. So we've been working on sprucing up the house lately...painted our hall bath, now I want to paint the kitchen/dining/living room (they all flow together). I got invited to join a Bunco group a few months ago, so April's game is at my house! Andy's got a LONG list of "honey-do's" before then!! Our weather here has been GORGEOUS-70's since Friday. Tonight is supposed to get in the 20's and be high of 30's and 40's. WHERE HAS SPRING GONE?!?!?!?!

Thanks for the thougths and prayers...we've been having a lot of family time lately...we were a close family before but this has brought us even closer.

We have a family BUNCO group...we get together for dinner and dessert each month. This month we are having a family sleepover...should be fun...it's the night before my cousin's wedding...like I said lot's of family time...this wedding is really needed - happy occasion to get together.

Her birthday is Sunday. One of our St. Patrick's Day parades is that day as well and Maddie is going to be in it! Since she's just a beginner, she gets to ride the float. That means that I have to walk in it. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to it. It's always so cold out! I'm still here...was gone for a few days, to San Antonio to see my dad, who had heart bypass surgery (on Valentine's Day, of all days! ). He's recovering well, although he has a ways to go still.

Thanks to everyone sharing pictures. I can't seem to get motivated to organize mine at all. I have done a little reading up on Disneyland Paris, though...but I doubt we'll get there before next year. We are making progress toward the move to Belgium this summer, though, so we are at least getting closer to DLP!

Hello all!! My computer totally died last week. Something in the mother board went out(says Geek Squad) with a minimum of $400 repairs!!!! So....my sweet little hubby bought me a new laptop!!!!!!!! I am lovin' this mobility! I have been busy with the kids school, and baseball and all that stuff, so I havent been able to be over here in a while!!! We are having some really dreary and cooler weather this week. Just wanted to check in with my snowfriends and say hello!!!! Anybody got concrete plans for next year yet?

I doubt I could pull off another surprise like that! Although they said that they liked it that way - not having to count down for months and months before the trip. I figured they would miss that.

Plus I think now they know better and would know if I said that we weren't going for a few years that it would be a big fat lie! They know there's no way I could go that long!!

We'd like to go the end of Jan early Feb next year!
As some may know I ws looking for a mommy daughter trip in August.Actaully booked it and cancelled. With the economy, you never know what may happen and I chickened out worried about $, weather and crowds. Going back again would be so much less of a commando trip, we've tried all we want and perhaps can take our time? or am i fooling myself
