January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part V

We'd like to go the end of Jan early Feb next year!
As some may know I ws looking for a mommy daughter trip in August.Actaully booked it and cancelled. With the economy, you never know what may happen and I chickened out worried about $, weather and crowds. Going back again would be so much less of a commando trip, we've tried all we want and perhaps can take our time? or am i fooling myself

I am actually listening to Spectro right now! how fitting! I think I might cry! I almost teared up with Big Blue World from Nemo ( that just ended)!


Disney on Ice in a week! So I'll have a small Disney fill!

We were thinking about a short August trip too, but then decided to just forget it and plan for a longer trip next year - maybe 9 days!!

We saw Disney On Ice last Friday - Disneyland Adventures. It was pretty good. I posted pics a few pages ago.

Shelly we were thinking about those same dates in January! Although if they're still doing the birthday promo, hubby's bday is the 27th, so it would be almost silly NOT to be there on that date to get the extra merchandise voucher! So we'll see. I think my boys will get jealous that daddy always gets Disney for his bday and they don't, but they have July and August bdays and that's just SO HOT!!! I wouldn't mind doing the August (his bday is the 30th) since the crowds are lighter and they usually offer free dining, but OH, the heat...

And how have I gone all of these trips without seeing SpectroMagic??

Plans that have only been mentioned in passing to my DH? YES!

I'm really hoping (and secretly saving) to go again the same time next year with Belle in tow. She was be 2 1/2, so I think it will be fine. We will stay at POP instead of a Deluxe, though. No biggie! So long as we actually get to go.

Shelly- Are you planning on suprising the boys again next year?

My plans sound the same as yours! I'm secretly planning a trip in my head for next winter too. dh doesn't know about it and he just rolled his eyes at me when I brought it up. I'll be lucky if I can talk him into the following winter. I have my ways though... (insert evil stepmother laugh here)

I just finally saw Spectro and Wishes for the first time this past trip. I've yet to see Fantasmic.

Not to be a glass half empty kinda person but what did you NOT get to see or do this trip that you had wanted to?

I will be going in May (see PTR) and then again in October.. my DSis and her DH just booked OKW and invited us down to stay with them.... I am thinking it will be a short trip though... Sunday thru Thursday.... as I don't want to be there for their whole vacation.... they are there for 9 days... then they are going again next April... trying to get a treehouse villa...

Good morning snowbirds! How is everyone on this friday the 13th? I wish everyone good luck today! Today is a big day for me, I have a meeting this afternoon about flowers for my wedding! woo hoo! I am also getting closer to my may vacation!

Hi all! We have firm, tenative plans to go back to WDW right after Thanksgiving and a 3 day cruise on December 3. Hopefully! We can't book the cruise through the bounceback offer until April 6. I will be online at midnight! So nothing else is booked yet - my DH keeps changing his mind about where he wants to stay. We keep going back and forth between renting DVC points, (I don't know if we can even get it now), WL, Poly ($$), Beach club ($$)! It's so frustrating!
Two of my SILs and my MIL are planning to join us this time. I guess that's okay. It will involve more coordination and planning - That's okay with me- I like that! I doubt we will all be doing the same things, but we all want to see the Christmas decor and lights etc.

Well, today is my day off (I still have clogged ears from my ruptured eardrums) and I need to do some errands to get the last few things for the big slumber party tomorrow night! I'll try to post a picture or two next week after I recover.

Well, I too looooove weddings-I had fun doing mine-but it seems like an eternity ago! Flower planning is awesome!! What day are you getting married? I forgot!

we are getting married in july of next year...my friends are my florists and the want to get together to get an idea of what i want and look at pics of flowers and have a nice lunch. I am super excited and probably should be getting ready to go instead of sitting on here, but oh well

My regrets for this last trip (or should I say REASONS I HAVE TO GO BACK I've still never had a DOle Whip or seen Spectro Magic, and we missed Illuminations this last trip. I want to try a hot dog at Caseys, a meal in the castle (even though I only have boys), breakfast Crystal Palace to see Main St before it opens, visit Goofy's Candy company, try the illustration studio at DHS (hubby did it, me and the kids watched the parade). SO many reasons to visit again and again...and I didn't even mention wanting to try the different resorts! Whew!!! I better get planning!

My regrets from this trip - going to DHS on Fantasmic day. What a nightmare. Huge crowds, long lines, just didn't get much done. It just took away from the whole DHS experience for me, which was a real bummer being that it is my favorite park!

So next time I am looking forward to a day or two at DHS on non-Fantasmic days!!

Regrets, hmmmm. Well, we did want to watch Beauty and the Beast at HS, but we missed the times for every show due to our FP and other things we were in line for. I also want to go to the WS to get character pictures ---we haven't gotten Mulan in China and I want to see Belle in France---not just at MK. I think I should start planning!!

I've had a constant debate in my head about kids for a few years. I've decided that I want to dance on my dance team again next season (fall of 2009-May 2010) and we'll make a decision afterwards. We just bought our first house in June, so we'd like to settle in for awhile before we make another big decision.

-I regret doing too much in the beginning, which made DH too tired. Next time we are going to rest the first few days and go hard after that.

-I also didn't see Spectro or Wishes.

-I regret the Deluxe Dining Plan. I will never do it again.

We just bought our first house in June, so we'd like to settle in for awhile before we make another big decision.

We are in the same boat as you, Meghan. Although we aren't in a position to make a decision at the time. I really like Belle being an only child, but I would really like to have another, as well.
