I am thinking about booking a 7 day Eastern Carribean cruise somewhere in the time frame of next January through April. I want to make sure it will be warm enough for my 2 DS (ages 3 and 4) to swim in the pools on the ship and at the beaches at Castaway Cay, St. Maarten, etc. Is it always warm enough for that in Jan./Feb. or would we be better off to wait until April to make sure we get warm weather?

We cruised in mid January this year and it was in the 80's each day. The water was a little chilly at Castaway Cay, but St. Maarten and St. Thomas it was warm. The pools always seem to be very warm.

We have sailed several times in Jan. and Feb., and although it has been a bit cool, it's never been too cold to swim at Castaway Cay (of course, we are from Chicago so it would take a REALLY cold temp to keep us out of the water!). There is always some risk of cold weather at that time of the year, but it's usually not bad. And if the pools feel cold, there's always the hot tubs! :D :D

We have now gone 3 times in February, and the weather has always been very warm! Can't wait till 2/15/03 for our next one!
Upper 80's and sunny, can't ask for much more!
