BTW, check out what came for me in delivery the other day:

I don't have pictures of it, but I also have a comforter set from AKL, a bamboo trash can from AKL, and two sets of curtains from AKL. I'm a tiny bit disappointed in the comforter set. You know how the comforters are usually made of a softer cotton? This one is a really stiff polyester and feels kind of icky. It looks brand new, though. I haven't put it on my bed yet.

What view do you have booked. We will be at the pool all day on the 3rd (weather permitting). Maybe I'll see ya there!

....YIKES, has it been THAT long already.....I'm just bummed cuz' we arent' going on vaca this year, and it seems like EVERYBODY that I know is going there......

I think that day we'll be at AK, but we'll definitely be taking a pool break in the afternoon.

Last year on our trip, we kept walking by a room that had the lime green Mickey heads on the door, and I signed one, but never did find out who it was, if it was someone from the DIS.

It's actually in our living room! DH doesn't like that it looks like a bedroom armoire, but I honestly don't care. I love it in here! We have some electronics in the drawers and we're going to put DVDs in those side cabinets.

Just got back on Tuesday. We were on the 5th floor in a standard room, actually, this was the nighttime view right outside our door-

Didn't hear any construction at the resort at all but it may be b/c it was on the weekend.

Did you hear any noise from the buses in your area? That's the one thing I've always been worried about in booking a standard view. But to be that close to the lobby would be great!

We didn't hear anything inside the room. On the balcony you could hear the cars but only when outside (the room is right on top of the drive)

I know I've seen this somewhere before but I 'll be cornswaggled if I can find it.

Can you still get bottled water in the concierge lounge to take with you to the parks???

Then.... somewhere I read that they no longer have the plastic bottles - I think - can anyone verify this????

Did you hear any noise from the buses in your area? That's the one thing I've always been worried about in booking a standard view. But to be that close to the lobby would be great!

We were also there last week in a standard that was in Ostich Trail. No bus noise, actually very quiet with the exception of a one night fluke. Our room was right over the handicapped lot and although we "normally" heard no car noise, the 2nd night someone's car alarm was on the fritz who of course was parked right under our room. It went off every 15 min for about a min. which made it quite impossible to sleep. It was finally resolved at 2:30 am (a little too long for our acceptance), so that night was "comped" without any argument. Otherwise this room would have been great. No signs of construction from here either.

I have a 2nd floor savannah view room on the Kudu trail and I can't hear any construction noise in my room. I can hear some noise on the deck but it is not very loud.

OMG yes! I have seen giraffees, zebras, kudu, ankole cattle, and elands right from my deck! I have loved it so much that I purchased AKV yesterday. ( I had been oscillating between SSR & AKV) I can't believe how close they come sometimes.

We're not going on vacation this year either. My DD is getting married in November. She waited until recently to start making arrangements.
