general concensus......ok? or do i need to go to the next level of studio? was changing from POR to OKW but the rest of the crew voted for here.

Value studios are a great points bargain if you can make due with a bit less space. Request a savanna or pool view if you keep the reservation.

I believe they're a little bigger than a standard POR room, so if you would have been okay there, the value studio should be no problem.

The values are just about the same size as a POR room but they still put the bigger furniture in the values; can possibly get parking lot view but 80% of values are savanna or pool view. So if you are OK with view and size and want to save points but still stay at AKV, it is a choice to consider.

I just returned from AKV and stayed one night standard studio @ Kidani and moved to Jambo for 2 nights in a value studio...
Honestly I didn't even notice the difference apart from a second closet @ kidani which I didn't use anyway. I was traveling with 2 active kids age 3 and 5. Got a parking lot view at Kidani and a savannah view at Jambo with great animal views for less points!

You could probably put two AKV Value studios in one OKW studio. ;)

we loved the AKV value studios last year, we had 3 adults & 5 kids (ALL boys :scared1:) in two of them & it was plenty of room. Great value! :thumbsup2

We like em! For 2 adults, they work great for us. We save points and it's like the lottery, sometimes we get lucky and get a savannah view.. other times we get a relaxing front entrance view. It's all ok, since the points levels are so low!

The OKW studios will have two queen beds and are noticeably larger.

The AKV studios all have one queen bed and a double sized sleep sofa. (OKW is the only WDW DVC resort that has two actual beds in the studio).
