Are you allowed to go back before you finish your last TR?

Haha! I'm threatened if I don't finish the next in a timely manner...... We don't go again!!!

Graham has been threatening me for years that I am not allowed to go on vacation until the trip report for the last vacation is finished. This time round, there is no risk of this happening.

For anyone who lives in the Jersey area and likes to ride bikes, I just discovered a great place in my own area: http://www.dukefarms.org/en/Visit/

I was so sorry that I didn't have my camera bag! I was sad to see that the gardens she developed have been dismantled (I can still remember the Japanese area from my trip as a Girl Scout!), but there are so many beautiful areas and the Orchid Range was amazing!

This will be our first WDW vacation staying at a value resort and our first trip without ADRs. :scared1:

Our friends, who haven't been to WDW in over 30 years, asked me to plan a trip. They want to stay in a value resort and eat at counter service restaurants.

This is all new to me. :confused3

I have stayed at Pop twice now, although for shorter trips. We really enjoyed it! They have their own buses, a GREAT food court, and the different themes are fun to see! Also, they have mini-fridges in the room now.

Thanks Linda! I need a lot of encouragement. :lmao:

hey Pam.... When is the best time to go see the ponies? I think David and I might go down but wanted to pick the right time!

I always see tons of them all summer. But I know they live there year round so I think any time would be good. Be careful if you're taking a picnic on the beach. They will come and take your food if they're in the mood. They took a closed bag of chips from my uncle and stomped on it to open it up. Very clever creatures. I have never had a problem because I keep all the food in the cooler and only open it to get something out.

There's a free beach, the MD park area, and then there's a National park area that you pay to get in. I always go to the national park side because that's where they allow dogs. There's also a camping area but I think you have to make reservations, it's a very popular camp area.

Have fun!

I stayed at Pop once and it was quite nice. The biggest difference I've found is at the values I don't feel compelled to stay at the resort at all. The deluxes on the other hand make me want to stay 'home' and enjoy.

And I agree, the food court has some great offerings. I might have gained five pounds eating cheese fries every day :rolleyes1

I'm sure you'll have great fun with your friends wherever you stay though :)

I am so sad to take you off but, I have...

Look at it this way, even though I won't be going to the lodge, now my points are freed back up to think about a stay at Aulani!

....:scratchin I'm not sure which is sadder: being taken off, or not being on in the first place...:confused3

being on and then being removed, I would think is harder... She was planning....

Now you have not been on the list for awhile, but of course you have not finished the last TR so we are still waiting...

....we. need. to. CHANGE.....................the subject.

I think we need to bring it back up! With all the potential titles you gave us we want to know what went down! :rotfl2. And we never even heard about your one night cruise... :confused3

Well David gets into national parks for free, which is nice so we might go that route.

We dont camp, David camped too much in the desert so he does not like to anymore.

Thanks for the info, hopefully we will get there soon...

BTW, have you been smith island

Kathy, I think you and your friends should plan to walk over to Art of Animation and try the food court there. Have you seen the menu? Looks so yummy. I will be there on October 7th and will definitely do a little investigating (and taste-testing)!! :thumbsup2

I havnt heard about Smith Island, will have to look it up.

I don't care for camping myself, too many bugs for my liking.

I'm hoping to get back to Assateague in the next few weeks, just love sitting on the beach with my lovey dog :)
