Okay, I think I have our ADR down now and this is what we've got going on:
4 Table Service Credits each-
Chef Mickey's lunch 10/1 (super stoked for this one-will be a first for my family!)
Akershus or Le Cellier dinner 10/2 (can't decide, Le Cellier is at like 8pm and while that would be my preference, thats just so late for Conner...I know we could feed him sooner, but he will be tired by that point and sitting at a table just doesn't seem realistic to me)
Cape May dinner 10/3 (I LOVE this place...has anyone here ever had their broccolini?!? lol
)
Kona dinner 10/4 (Again, super stoked! I made reservations for Kona when I took JR on his first trip August '08 @ Caribbean Beach BUT we missed our reservation
I'm still not over it yet)

Columbia Harbor House dinner 10/1 (closes when the Party begins so get there around 6 pm-I'm not sure why, but I really like this QS, I always have)
Flame Tree, Pepper Market, or Wolfgang Puck express lunch maybe 10/3
And we are using our snack credits to eat around the world. PS. I highlighted everything I wanted to try and it ended up being WAY over 4 things lol (of course this included beverages) I can't wait! Only 16 days to go!!

Yes, I bought it at the World of Disney store in DTD. I want to say it was around $30, which I think is an awesome deal considering how prefabricated it comes. I honestly think thats the main reason I got so much done, most of the work was done for me!

13 DAYSSomething we are really looking forward to: EATING AT CHEF MICKEY'S!!! I sincerely hope Conner enjoys this, and makes it clear that he is enjoying it lol
We've never eaten here and the reviews are always so good, and I'm just super excited. Plus we're eating lunch there, which is something you can't normally do year round because they aren't open for lunch. so i feel special

Is it possible to get so excited over MNSSHP that one has a panic attack? If its possible, its happening to me lol...i'm just THAT excited right now. I've been looking at pictures from the party on Wednsday and it looks like so much more fun than I remember it! All of the costumes, candy stations, parade, fireworks, characters...its all so yummy.

Are you eating dinner there? Depending on what time your reservations are, you might get a great view of the castle lit up at night. Either way, it should be a great view of the castle!

I have the worst luck in the world. I just typed an update for a good thirty minutes, and as I was ending the last sentence, I lost my internet explorer page. Who does that happen to?!? Well, here it goes again...
Countdown: 10 DAYS!!!!! Yes, people, we are almost in single digits on this countdown!!!
I have to tell you this story about me trying to book the Magical Express. It's so terrible, it makes me want to scream, and the fact that I just lost all of that update doesn't help much. Anyways, before I begin my tale, I should tell you that I booked our first night at the pop century separate from our other nights. JR, Conner, and I are flying down one day ahead of my mom and brother, so we kept this date separate. I booked through hotels.com because the price difference was significant, and regardless of who you book through, you get the extra magic hours and Magical Express. To be precise, I only paid $65 for that night, including tax.
So I printed out the phone number for magical express and my confirmation for Pop and call....
First: I call Magical Express, who tells me that since I booked through a third party, they can't book ME for me. I have to book it with hotels.com. This makes no sense to me, because when you book with hotels.com, they don't have the option to select ME, because it has to be booked through Disney.
But she says, "you HAVE to call the third party co. and there is nothing I can do for you"
ugh, fine.
Second: So I call Hotels.com, who tells me this must be booked with my hotel, and gives me the phone number for Pop Century. But before he lets me go, he asks what time I am getting into MCO, and I say 9:30 ISH. Well the jerk face on the phone starts talking over me and yelling about how I am flying in too early anyway because I can't even check into my hotel until WAY later in the afternoon. I wanted to scream, who the #@$% do you think you are dude? This is what I get for not booking through Disney, right? I was done with this guy, and he tells me once again to call Pop
ughgghghg, fine!
Third: I call Pop Century, and the very nice lady on the phone says "ok, I will transfer you to the Magical Express"
WHATTTTTTTTTT?!?!?!?! No, my friend, you will not.
So I tell her everything I have been through thus far, and she says this makes no sense, I should have been able to book with ME but then she tells me to do this: call hotels.com back and have them call Pop for my Disney reservation number, which is different than the hotels.com reservation number. Once they have the number, they should call ME and book it FOR ME.
ughhhhhhhhhghgh ok, fine!@!!!@$#!
Fourth: I call hotels.com AGAIN and explain EVERYTHING AGAIN, and the nice lady puts me on hold so she can call Pop and figure everything out. After 5 minutes of holding, she comes back and says "You have to call back in 72 hours when your confirmation number through Disney becomes available"
Side note: When you book through a third party, your Disney confirmation number does not become available until 10 days prior to your reservation date. And PS, this all went down on Friday, so today marks that 72 hours or 10 days prior.
Dear nice lady at Pop, why did you not tell me this? I could have avoided that last 20 minute phone call and just held off until today. The funny thing is, the last lady from hotels.com said the man at Pop told her once I hit that 10 day mark, it won't be an issue booking ME. He even said, if need be, I can book the day of my reservation. ARE YOU NUTS?! I leave Maryland at 7 am, 7 am people! Am I weird that I am leaving this early? Is this unheard of? Does no one else check their luggage at the hotel with the bell hop early?? These people made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Anyways, needless to say, I will be calling hotels.com BACK again today. ugh. Actually, I think I am just going to call Pop, and explain what I have been through, and maybe they will do something nice for us
On a much happier note, I have to say something we are looking forward to on this 10 day marker, and the winner is......
The wedway!!!!!!!! Yes I know, it is called the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, BUT I am stuck in my ways and will probably always call it Wedway. Same goes for MGM, I am old school, and I just can't bring myself to call it "Disney's Hollywood Studios".
Well, lets try this again: I hope you all had a great weekend! OOorah for 10 days!!!

He even said they would pick up my luggage from Southwest (not listed as one of the participating airlines on the ME website) and insisted that we would have our luggage tags in time. woosah, thank you magical express man for using my last name and not insisting on needing a confirmation number.

hey i saw you frm my PTR. may i first say what a cutie conner is. im joining in. you all will be leaving as we go. im taking my son on his 1st trip october 6th but I think u know that from my PTR. congrats on being a senior i cannot wait to know how that feels in jan. it will be my last semester of classes but i still have to do my externship and pass my certification to graduate BUT first I got to make it out this semester... we have a lab final we have to make a 90 on to stay i the program. i was also pregnant the last time i went i just didnt know how long i think like 13 weeks because i started getting sick the last few days. keep it coming!

Where are you all staying again? I'll have to get caught back up on your PTR!! I have to tell you, while I'm all about doing the lap child thing, the closer we get to this vacation, the more terrified I get. Everyone is constantly commenting on how busy and active Conner is...which is great, but not on a dinky Southwest plane Being senior status is definitely nice but i'm on the 5 year plan and I can slowly feel myself falling out of touch with school. I'm way too far in to stop now, not that I would want to, but I've just had enough. I think this is called senioritis if I remember it correctly from high school lol Thats crazy that you have to get a 90 on that lab, I hateeeeeee lab classes. I'm in one now, and I had one last semester. The one i'm taking now should be the last lab I have though
going to get caught up on your PTR, and yay for being in the teens, you leave soon too!!!

SINGLE DIGITS!!! WE'RE DOWN TO 9 DAYS!!! Something we are looking forward to on this 9 day marker until our trip:
The Liberty Square Riverboat. I popped in the Disney vacation planning DVD over the weekend and JR mentioned that he had never been on this boat. I have, but not in YEARS, so we're going to do our best to make this a must do for JR.
Something I am looking forward to:
Taking pictures in front of Cinderellas carriage at Mickeys not so scary Halloween Party!!! How beautiful is that!!! I love it.

Ugh. What a headache with ME! That is precisely why I steer people away from those third party sites. I work for a TA and we have people who call in and say 'But I saw it for this price on -insert third party website here-' Yes, but heaven forbid you should need to cancel, you're screwed! There's a lot of people who book through those sites and when they have a problem, call us. There's nothing we can do when we didn't make the reservation! I'm glad you got it sorted out though.

Something I know JR and I are looking forward to is....
LIVING WITH THE LAND! I have always loved this ride...even as a kid I loved this ride. I think the tomato tree is freaking beautiful, and those Cinderella pumpkins! Who couldn't love 'em?! Not to mention, its such a nice, relaxing, cool ride...especially after walking around in the sweltering Florida heat!
Something I just know Conner is looking forward to is....

Conners new found obsession is bugs
Every time he sees one, he says "EWA!" haha (that he gets from me)...but then he touches them and lets Daddy put them on his hand or arm (that bravery comes from his father) lol Anyway, this building is filled with bugs AND characters!!! We took a whole bunch of pictures last year, I'm hoping to see some different characters this time around. AND they have these awesome little rooms, when you go inside, you put on a pair of headphones and listen to animal noises in a dimly lit room. Its SO freaking nice and relaxing. I never knew about them until last year, definitely check them out!
One of the characters we met last year was Rifiki himself!!!

I haven't been on the Living with the Land boat ride since I was...8? My parents didn't know what it was and we all went on it. I don't remember much about it.

you should totally check it out when you go! It never has a line, and if for some reason there is a line, it moves at the same rate as Its a Small World. So you can imagine how quickly that is....
I would imagine you already plan to go on Soarin', and they are both in The Land...
