It's kind of fun to do the impossible - Disney with a 1 month old *new 2/13/15*

Aw, your trip is over.

Glad you had a good one. So many great memories...

And, speaking of, nice video! I watched it while picking out Hawaii photos for my eventual TR, so I will need to watch it again - thinking maybe with Izzy. Really liked it, though, and good music choices! :thumbsup2

What a great last day! I would certainly miss waking up to that spectacular view.

I love the family pictures in front of the castle - you can tell the kids are thinking about their ice cream! Your photo with Ariel turned out beautifully.

Look at Olivia on Space Mountain - those roller coasters are no big deal for her! :cool1:

Whoa, look at all those autographs! That's quite a haul!

Thanks so much for sharing your vacation, Phil! It was lovely to "meet" your family and share in your adventures. I look forward to your next trip report!

Yeah, we definitely tried to soak in the views as long as we could - but the time to leave had to come at some point. I think having a park / FP+ to get to helped get us out of the room and the rain helped make it easier to leave, so silver lining I supose

Yeah, they were definitely wanting ice cream and were just pretty hot at that point. Oh well - captured the moment :rotfl:

Olivia loves roller coasters and going fast and stuff like that - but anything "scary" from a story perspective she wants nothing to do with. Like, she won't to ToT not for the dropping part but for the ghosts at the beginning

Thanks for sharing in our adventure! Nice to "meet" you too :goodvibes

Look at all those autographs. Very impressive.

Emma is always a cutie, isn't she?

Amazing video. I loved it. Awesome music choices too.

Thanks! I think we did ok - though having a few character meals definitely helped.

Well, other than when screaming her little head off and waiving her fists of fury, Emm is indeed always cute.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video :thumbsup2

:lmao: I guess he forgot how much he enjoyed that trip with a different family! :thumbsup2

Yeah - if it makes you feel better he was very good ... generally we didn't even notice he was there :rotfl2:

I tried to stretch out the TR as long as I could and will probably add some recaps, etc just so it doesn't totally die :goodvibes

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it and I am sure that was an undertaking to go through all the Hawaii pictures. Hope Izzy likes it when she gets to watch it

Note to self - do NOT stay in the same airport hotel on the way HOME! boo!

I really enjoyed your TR and your movie is great! Perfect timing on the fireworks with that first song! :thumbsup2

Just watched the video and I loved it! I loved all the fireworks and Frozen footage but I think my favorite part was Olivia running to hug Mickey, so adorable

And that song that Peter and Olivia sang at the end was great :thumbsup2

Just watched your vacation video. It was so good! Definitely encompassed the joy and magic of Disney. And I've got to say, it made me look forward to the day that Landon's old enough to really enjoy the parks like it looked like Olivia and Peter did. Their reaction to Mickey was priceless.

I was a little behind, I'm all caught up now.
Awwww no way! Too bad about Festival of Fantasy being cancelled. And just as the sun came out! Shattered dreams right there.
Kimberly the CM sounds lovely, I adore hearing those stories about CMs who go above and beyond their job descriptions. Despite the rain and cancelled parade, it sounds like a pretty good last day, and relatively easy travel home.
Darn, video is not playable on my iPad. I'll come back for it from home later!

Well, there were definitely pluses an minuses about staying at the same hotel - it was convenient and we knew how to find it, etc. so it wasn't like having to understand a new hotel the last night and it was a pretty nice/clean place so we didn't have that unknown either. But it did provide some weird feelings, like "Wasn't I just here and wasn't I in a much better mood then?"

Thank you! Glad things worked out ok with the video - first time really taking video at the parks and learned a lot but I think I got enough usable footage to make a decent video :thumbsup2

Loved the video! I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a few tears!

Aw thanks! I definitely get a bit misty eyed as I re-watch it - and I am sure that will only build over the years

Such a great video! Enjoyed your TR so much!

Thank you so much :goodvibes

Thank you Courtney! That's a good point - as much as I love the fireworks and Fantasmic! and all that, the scenes with the characters are great - even just how Olivia's face is beaming when Ariel comes to our table at CRT makes me smile :goodvibes

Glad you liked their song! Olivia made it up and Peter did his best to participate. I thought it was a fun bonus - kinda like the post-credit scenes of a Marvel movie :lmao:

Thank you so much and it is so great to get to experience the parks through their eyes. As great as it is with a toddler, seeing them more active is really fun. ... just means Judi and I have less input as to what we do, but I think the trade-off is totally worth it :thumbsup2

Was definitely bummed at the time about FoF being canceled - especially with the sun coming out kinda getting our hopes up. Oh well. It did lead to that great CM encounter so definitely seeing the positive in it overall.

Let me know if it is an issue with the video and I can try to sort it out

Awesome trip report! I really enjoyed reading it!

Hope you guys had an awesome Thanksgiving!

Phil, the video came out amazing!! You put a lot of effort into it and it's a great memory of your trip!! I love Olivia's song at the end :goodvibes

Thank you for sharing this trip with us, I certainly enjoyed reading it!

The video is great, well done! I just made my first video ever in iVideo as part of the boys Christmas surprise, so I know what it feels like to think you've spent way to much time on something, but it turned out splendid!

Thanks for sharing your family with us!
:cheer2:

Thanks very much Jess! We did have a nice Thanksgiving - nothing big, just went out to my mother's house on Long Island ... now getting into the holiday swing of things. Hope you had a good one! :thumbsup2

Thank you Alexis! I did put some time into the video but it was fun to relive the trip a bit. Plus I had lots of "help" who kept wanting to re-watch that one, now that one, now that one ;)

Glad you enjoyed reading the TR :goodvibes

Thanks Jillian - and I am sure your boys will love your video ... Olivia and Peter definitely enjoyed watching ours. and I bet they will love re-living it in future years as well. :thumbsup2

I've been really busy and haven't had much time for the DIS, so I just got around to finishing up here.

Great job on the video and congrats on another enjoyable trip report! I'm impressed at how much you were able to do with a newborn along.

Make Judi's day for her and tell her I said she looks like a college kid. I'd be willing to bet she occasionally gets carded.

Have an enjoyable holiday season with those cuties!

I'm so sad it's over... I throughly enjoyed reading along! :( You should probably plan another trip so I can join in the PTR so I will have some good reads.. Just sayin' :)

Only Disney can give you those magical memories! <3

Can't wait for the next trip!

So I started reading your TR and then fell so far behind, that I just started from the beginning, Lol! Your kids are too darn cute.

I flew through Hartford once - I interviewed with Aetna about 2 years ago. I flew out on a Monday afternoon, and I was THE ONLY person in line for security. It was grand! :thumbsup2 And it's awesome to see you saved so much AND got your full day on on your last day. Yes!!

I have been seeing pictures of that Cobb salad for some time now, and I think HBD will be on one of my must trys for one of my trips in 2015. I love a good Cobb salad! Your entrees looked great, too.

I have been thinking about trying Tusker House as well.. we did Crystal Palace and liked it a lot but I think Tusker House would be something different. I was cracking up at Peter's "wanting" (but really not wanting) Donald.. lol!!

I love your pictures from Sanaa.. The food looks great! My mom loves AK and really wants to get up close to the animals, so I think that we will go there on our next trip. The bread service sounds delicious. (Clearly all I think about is food, I'm salivating over all of these pics).

We didn't care for the lettuce wraps at Ohana either. This was our first time there, so we did not have much to compare it to, but other than the one I ate, the rest went untouched. I love the GIF of Peter with the noodles - hahaha.

I really enjoyed reading through your TR so far. Your pictures are great.

No worries Annie - life can get in the way of DISing at times

Thank you! Overall I am pretty happy with as much as we got done. Never really felt Emma impacted things too much - more just now having the 3 kids and just the 2 of us we had to be a lot more flexible ... and we had less imput on what we did and when.

I'll let Judi know - she does get carded every now and then ... less so when she has the 3 kids with her :rotfl2:

Hope you have a nice holiday season as well :goodvibes

Glad you enjoyed the trip report! I'd love to start a new PreTR - but it would have to be a bit open ended as we have no plans to visit in the near future (other than the Hershey DISmeet in June). Thinking of taking next year off and then an Adventures by Disney in 2016 but we shall see. Never know when that itch will need to be scratched ;)

Glad to hear there is some re-readability to this TR :lmao: Thanks for giving it another go :thumbsup2

We loved leaving from a smaller airport - it would have been much more stressful with how late we were running due to the traffic if it was a huge airport we were heading to. We would definitely fly out of Hartford again

We really, really loved the food at HBD - just allow plenty of time for the meal ;)

We've done the breakfast at TH twice now and really enjoy it. I have heard that if you book one of the last seatings for breakfast while you are there they will start to bring out the lunch food and you can kinda get two meals for one, so might try that next time

Sanaa definitely proved to be one of the favorites of this trip and probably the one that most exceeded expectations ... well, we hadn't booked ahead of time so weren't really huge expectations I guess. We will definitely look to eat there again and was a great break from AK which can get quite hot.

While he can be a pistol at times, Peter can also be quite the funny guy, so lots of great moments with him were captured :goodvibes

Thank you!

The video was awesome thanks for sharing! I always make videos to have on DVD but never think about sharing them. Maybe i'll do that this next time. Yeah right, it will take another year for that video to be completed:lmao:

So sad this TR is over! I know you just got back, but any plans on going back in the near future?

What a great video - I'm so impressed with your skills! Makes me feel like a slacker since I am getting so far behind in just writing my TR.

I'm sad your trip is over. I really enjoyed your report!
