It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Thank you! I have never been to that site. I will have to check it out. You can never have too many shoes right?;)
NEVER enough. :thumbsup2

Great update! You know in all the times we've ridden The Great Movie ride we've only gotten the cowboy once! Still love that ride!
I am sorry about the rude kids! I' trying every hard to raise mine not to be rude! Unfortunately, it has lead to Em saying loudly in public, "that child needs a spanking!" The manners still need work.

Your pictures are so great! I feel like I'm with you every step. You were so cute "with Billy."
I love my Billy. That is too funny about Em. It's not so much the kids but the parents who are egging on their children. I have no problem with kids being cute and excited, it's when the parents are pushing them to cut in front of people!

LL- thanks for the retailmenot.com tip! It just saved me $18 at shoebuy.com. Of course I went looking for MJ crocs and they didn't have good colors in my size but I still ended up w/ 2 other pairs of shoes...:sad2:
Here's another tip. If you sign up to be a member, if you buy more shoes within a certain period, I can't remember but it's something like 6 weeks or 2 months, then they give you a member discount on top of your coupon!

Some people might call you an enabler... ;) but I'll just say thanks!!! :goodvibes

That is a great story on Chelsea's reaction! It made my day.
I think Uncle Benny MUST stay home.
You guessed the ADR. It was one of them. If you remember from my PTR, I had ADR's for both of them too. Hmmm. Which one did I pick?? ;)

Chelsea was just so excited -- it was so cute!

I am guessing Brown Derby, but I will be happy with a review of either one! :thumbsup2

Day 3. Part 3.

After singing in the rain, we decided to take some photos on the streets. We had a lot of fun goofing around with each other. There was no one around either.

Our favorite sign.

We decided to check out Muppet Vision 3D before heading to our mystery ADR.

2868375950_6ae3550dfa.jpg

We walked right into the waiting area. As we were walking in, we saw a family find the key under the mat! Very exciting stuff. We probably had to wait about 10 minutes for next show to start, if that.

2867549947_e9e6481c4e.jpg

That sign just cracked me right up. Marc was trying to enjoy the preshow and I was cracking myself up with all of the muppet stuff. I get brought right back to my days of watching Mupper Babies whenever I see this show.

We were let into the theater and we snagged some seats towards the back. These seats were tight. We had to sit on the edge and slide in. They were fine after that.

2867554227_a26761a135.jpg

We enjoyed the show. We had both seen it before. We did agree that compared to Mickey's Philharmagic that the show is starting to seem outdated. I wish they would redo it. I still love the muppets though and want to see them kept in the show.

After the Muppets, it was just after 8. We knew the first show of Fantasmic was starting. Our ADR wasn't until 8:50 but the CM had told us to try to check in early so we wouldn't miss the 10PM Fantasmic showing. So we decided to head on over......

........................................................

THE BROWN DERBY! I was able to call earlier in the day and snag an ADR for 8:50PM. I was pretty excited about it. We had cancelled our Fantasmic package when we had downgraded to regular dining from deluxe and Brown Derby was one of the casualities. Marc and I agreed while at Disney that we really enjoyed the downtime a resturaunt gives you, so we decided to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket for this one.

We arrived at 8:15 and we asked if we could check in early. They said no problem! I took some pictures and Marc headed to the restroom.

While I was snapping those three pictures, the other person waiting was called in, but the rest of his party was in the restroom. Two seconds later the CM calls us! We didn't even wait three minutes! Marc was still in the restroom! I was shocked and so very happy all at once.

This is one of those times where I was so happy that I was somewhat flexible on our trip. We made a lot of tweaks while we were down there and I am glad that I didn't go park commando and just went with the flow as much as humanly possible for a DISer. This was the BEST MEAL EVER. I am pretty sure that Marc says this is his #1 Meal while we were down there. I have not committed to naming my #1's until later on, I've got a special post dedicated to them. So there.

All through the meal, Marc kept laughing at my Mickey Boppers. He thought it was funny that every slight move I made, they were all over the place.
2868393178_ef5c90b9d8.jpg

I have no idea what he was doing with his hands. Oh, we had gotten our EMH bracelets at somepoint too. I think we got them on the way over to Brown Derby but it could have been before. I am not sure.
2867560377_6590ebc82e.jpg

We kept going back and forth about what we wanted to get. I asked if I could get the Cobb as my meal and the waiter said yes. He was very good by the way. I know the table next to us complained about him and the meal taking too long. I was glad to hear the manager tell the people that they had several food allergies so their chef was ensuring that their meals would be correct. Anyhoo. I couldn't decide. I was a little worried about money as Brown Derby is pretty pricey but Marc told me to chill, so I did. Our dinner came to $94 with the tip. Yikes! Oh well, it was worth every penny.

We decided to order the Cobb Salad for 2 for our appetizer. So yummy. So delicious. My mouth is watering as I think about it. They also had rolls but apparently I did not get a picture of them.

2867560901_892d85c052.jpg

Our meals come out. I had ordered the Noodle Bowl with Wok Fried Coconut Tofu, soy beans, sugar snap peas, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms in a red curry broth (thank you allears.net) and Marc had ordered the Grilled Atlantic Salmon on soft mascarpone polenta with gorgonzola, balsamic glaze and Sicillan olive tapenade. Our food came.

2868395788_f7359137c2.jpg

2868394320_53607b4fc4.jpg

And we looked at each other. And we decided to switch. This still cracks me up. It was so funny and it was like something out of the movies. Marc and I have never ever switched meals, shared, yes but never full out switched! We were both so happy that we did. I did have a nibble of his coconut tofu...heaven. Absolute heaven. This was when I fell in love with polenta. Oh polenta how I love thee! In fact, I love it so much that Marc has learned to make polenta and has made for me twice since we got home! I even have our own food porn pictures of it. But I haven't uploaded them yet. Whoops! Trust me, it's good. Almost as good as the Brown Derby. This was one of the meals that we just kept telling each other how good our meal was. Let me tell you, they were awesome. Worth every penny.

At this point I was a little worried about being late for Fantasmic even though our great waiter kept reassuring me. He packed up our desserts to go so we could eat them during Fantasmic. Marc got the grapefruit cake and I got the pistaschio cheesecake. We settled our bill and headed with the masses to Fantasmic.

presents... your dinner." - Beauty & The Beast

Day 3. Part 3. Continued.

There were a few things I knew.
1. The second showing was supposed to be less crowded.
2. There was a DIS meet going on.
3. I wanted to eat my cheesecake.

None of these things happenend for LL. IF the second showing is less crowded, I would HATE to see the first showing. We were herded like cattle and sat still for a long time. I think at first they were only letting a few people in at a time. Finally the line started moving and we were able to get to the theater. I was very impressed with the theater, much larger than I had expected. As we were herded to the bleachers, I kept thinking, there is no way any DISer is going to find another. I wasn't going to work myself up over it. I figured if I spotted someone, I spotted them, if not I would live. We got pretty decent seats, not quite center but not off to the side either. I was pretty jazzed up, we were fairly close too. The bleachers were also empty on both ends so it wasn't a full house. I can't imagine a full house.

2867564267_f4c30fe065.jpg

Waiting for the show to start.
2867565451_ef18acb584.jpg

Marc had a pattern. It would take him 50 billion blurry shots until he could get a good one of me. Well this is the best one he got of me this night.
2867567417_aacc01afbc.jpg

Just wait until we get to Wednesday. You will see a whole new side of LL.

You can see the empty end of the bleachers in this photo.
2867568271_828411c302.jpg

Finally it started. I say finally but we didn't really wait that long. My pictures really don't do the show justice. It's absolutely amazing. AMAZING. I was blown away. Fantasmic is Disney at it's best. I got teary eyed while watching the beginning, reflecting about love and such. It was a warm and fuzzy moment.

What was funny was that at the very end as the Steamboat is going around the corner, Prince Eric took out this sheet cover thing and put it over Ariel. I thought it was hilarious. Can you imagine a poor little girl spotting that and having a freak attack that Prince Eric had done that to Ariel? It amused me. I am assuming they do that since Ariel can't get up and move with the other characters who go on stage.

We both just loved Fantasmic. I was so wrapped up in the show that I forgot to eat my cheesecake!! Marc loved it as well but he didn't like the bleachers since he had nothing to lean against. He thought Fantasmic was just going to be fireworks but the show was much better.

We were herded out of the theater. Extra Magic Hours had officially started. What would we do??

Yippee... more updates!

THE BROWN DERBY!

Thank goodness you didn't leave us hanging!!!

I do believe you have convinced me that I MUST add BD and Fantasmic to the to-do list for my upcoming trips! :goodvibes

You find so many great details that I never notice -- I love all your street pictures -- I swear, I don't think I have seen half of those.

The Muppets crack me up -- their brand of humor is definitely the same as mine -- my favorite moment of the pre-show is when Rizzo comes out wearing Mickey ears! :lmao:

Hurray for Brown Derby! Everything looks delicious and the I love the old Hollywood glamor of it all! Now I need to convince the rest of the family! How did Marc like his grapefruit cake?

Fantasmic looks like so much fun -- there's another nighttime show we always miss!

Great street pictures. I love the Muppets! I have always thought a Muppet character dinner would be perfect at DHS. I do agree that the show could use some updates. It still cracks me up though. The Brown Derby sounds wonderful! The food looked great.:goodvibes I have only been to Fantasmic once. It was crowded when we went too. I love the last scene with all of the characters in the big river boat. I am looking forward to seeing where you went next.:thumbsup2

I love that smiley face. You really must add Brown Derby. It was flipping fantastic. I can't even describe how yummy it was. My food was melt in your mouth yummy and to top it off with Fantasmic...heaven. Pure Disney Heaven!

I think you just need to tell Chelsea that Bo will meet her there. It was so great. Truly. We haven't eaten our desserts yet! We will get to that part! ;) There is a story about dessert time!

A muppet character dinner would be awesome!! You will just have to wait for the next update. ;)

Oh and CP. I forgot to tell you something. YOU MUST SEE FANTASMIC. I will not stand for another trip of yours and not seeing Fantasmic. Your whole family will enjoy it, I promise. Pretty please? :worship:

Day 3. Part 2. Continued.

We decided to head for Backlot Tour. It was closed. It closed at 7PM and it was after that at this point, probably around 7:15. We continued to walk around.

2868361894_002e192daf.jpg

I took a pic of this fountian too! lol

I love your Mickey bobble headband! It is so cute. I have to say I wore my Mickey Ears around for the last few days that we were there. I told DH people would look at me like I am crazy at home so I am doing it here while I can lol.

Your Cobb Salad looked really good. I hope we can get into the Brown Derby next time. I am glad that you liked it!

The Fantasmic theater is really big! It suprised me when we were there. There was only one showing the night we saw it and it was almost packed!

Great updates! I can't wait to read more!

:rotfl: I think I could probably sneak BD in -- it's narrowed down between that and Prime Time, and I am not sure how my family would feel about someone fussing at them to eat their veggies.

Okay. :goodvibes I would love to see it! It's keeping the rest of the gang awake long enough to do so that's the trick.

It was really nice. I am trying to think of reasons you could use to persuade them.

I think you should enforce naptime that day. What about lounging about at WL for the day and then heading to DHS later for your Brown Derby ADR and watching Fantasmic. They must have the 8PM show when you are there. :goodvibes Can you tell that I really want you to go? :wizard:

I really want to go, too -- I love all your pictures, and I just know I would get all teary-eyed and sentimental watching it!

You really would. Everytime I was getting sentimental I was thinking of you and when you would tear up on your trip. See, when I was looking at the menus for Brown Derby I kept worrying I wouldn't find something but of everything I sampled, I can't imagine them making a bad dish. I also know that our Waiter was able to make accomadations for tables around us. I think most of the places in Disney are flexible if you have pickey eaters.

Oh and next time I really want to try the Cold Water Lobster Corn Bisque. My love of cobb salad won out this time around.

OK. Perhaps crazy question. Lunch. I had been planning on trying the Tune In Lounge (no ADR)... think I should try for a BD ADR? That Cobb salad appears to be calling my name. Do you think you could ask them to go light on the blue cheese? I know... picky, picky, picky!!
