Day 3. Part 3.
After singing in the rain, we decided to take some photos on the streets. We had a lot of fun goofing around with each other. There was no one around either.
This door reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw for some reason.
Our favorite sign.
We decided to check out Muppet Vision 3D before heading to our mystery ADR.
We walked right into the waiting area. As we were walking in, we saw a family find the key under the mat! Very exciting stuff. We probably had to wait about 10 minutes for next show to start, if that.
That sign just cracked me right up. Marc was trying to enjoy the preshow and I was cracking myself up with all of the muppet stuff. I get brought right back to my days of watching Mupper Babies whenever I see this show.
We were let into the theater and we snagged some seats towards the back. These seats were tight. We had to sit on the edge and slide in. They were fine after that.
We enjoyed the show. We had both seen it before. We did agree that compared to Mickey's Philharmagic that the show is starting to seem outdated. I wish they would redo it. I still love the muppets though and want to see them kept in the show.
After the Muppets, it was just after 8. We knew the first show of Fantasmic was starting. Our ADR wasn't until 8:50 but the CM had told us to try to check in early so we wouldn't miss the 10PM Fantasmic showing. So we decided to head on over......

THE BROWN DERBY! I was able to call earlier in the day and snag an ADR for 8:50PM. I was pretty excited about it. We had cancelled our Fantasmic package when we had downgraded to regular dining from deluxe and Brown Derby was one of the casualities. Marc and I agreed while at Disney that we really enjoyed the downtime a resturaunt gives you, so we decided to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket for this one.
We arrived at 8:15 and we asked if we could check in early. They said no problem! I took some pictures and Marc headed to the restroom.
While I was snapping those three pictures, the other person waiting was called in, but the rest of his party was in the restroom. Two seconds later the CM calls us! We didn't even wait three minutes! Marc was still in the restroom! I was shocked and so very happy all at once.
This is one of those times where I was so happy that I was somewhat flexible on our trip. We made a lot of tweaks while we were down there and I am glad that I didn't go park commando and just went with the flow as much as humanly possible for a DISer. This was the BEST MEAL EVER. I am pretty sure that Marc says this is his #1 Meal while we were down there. I have not committed to naming my #1's until later on, I've got a special post dedicated to them. So there.
All through the meal, Marc kept laughing at my Mickey Boppers. He thought it was funny that every slight move I made, they were all over the place.
I have no idea what he was doing with his hands. Oh, we had gotten our EMH bracelets at somepoint too. I think we got them on the way over to Brown Derby but it could have been before. I am not sure.
We kept going back and forth about what we wanted to get. I asked if I could get the Cobb as my meal and the waiter said yes. He was very good by the way. I know the table next to us complained about him and the meal taking too long. I was glad to hear the manager tell the people that they had several food allergies so their chef was ensuring that their meals would be correct. Anyhoo. I couldn't decide. I was a little worried about money as Brown Derby is pretty pricey but Marc told me to chill, so I did. Our dinner came to $94 with the tip. Yikes! Oh well, it was worth every penny.
We decided to order the Cobb Salad for 2 for our appetizer. So yummy. So delicious. My mouth is watering as I think about it. They also had rolls but apparently I did not get a picture of them.
Our meals come out. I had ordered the Noodle Bowl with Wok Fried Coconut Tofu, soy beans, sugar snap peas, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms in a red curry broth (thank you allears.net) and Marc had ordered the Grilled Atlantic Salmon on soft mascarpone polenta with gorgonzola, balsamic glaze and Sicillan olive tapenade. Our food came.
And we looked at each other. And we decided to switch. This still cracks me up. It was so funny and it was like something out of the movies. Marc and I have never ever switched meals, shared, yes but never full out switched! We were both so happy that we did. I did have a nibble of his coconut tofu...heaven. Absolute heaven. This was when I fell in love with polenta. Oh polenta how I love thee! In fact, I love it so much that Marc has learned to make polenta and has made for me twice since we got home! I even have our own food porn pictures of it. But I haven't uploaded them yet. Whoops! Trust me, it's good. Almost as good as the Brown Derby. This was one of the meals that we just kept telling each other how good our meal was. Let me tell you, they were awesome. Worth every penny.
At this point I was a little worried about being late for Fantasmic even though our great waiter kept reassuring me. He packed up our desserts to go so we could eat them during Fantasmic. Marc got the grapefruit cake and I got the pistaschio cheesecake. We settled our bill and headed with the masses to Fantasmic.
