I received a post card pin code at my address, but with a friend's name on it. I called and after speaking to guest services-45 minutes of talking- was allowed to use the code. Our travel party consists of 4 adults, 3 kids so we needed 2 rooms at the Poly. They booked both rooms under one ressie with a deposit of 400.00. I thought that was odd and asked to have a confirmation sent before paying the deposit.
Last night I called to pay the deposit and was told that the ressie had to be divided up. I figured as much. So the CM asks again for the code and I explained to her how I've already been through all of this with guest services when I made the ressie.
She puts me on hold and comes back after talking to guest services and says it's ok we are going to fix this for you, but we will need for you to scan the post card and email it to us so that in the future these wonderful discounts will come in your name. She gave me an email address and told me to be sure to put my res#'s on the email. Several times in this conversation she reminds me of how important it is for me to do this because the girl in guest services is "sticking her neck out" by allowing me to have the code.
So is it my responsibility to scan and email this card to them? I don't understand how anyone is sticking their neck out. The code came to my address, I asked to use it and they said ok-it's not my fault they didn't have the name right. My friend doesn't live and has never lived with me.
Do you think they would cancel my ressie if I don't scan the card and email it?
I was just wondering if anyone else had dealt with this or if anyone else thinks it's odd.
