I booked through Dreams, 4468.00 for...

ASMu Family Suites 5/17-24/08
7 day park hopper/water park and more
DDP Basic
for 2 adults and kids ages 11,8,6, and 5.

I called WDW and got 4863.00 but I wanted to know if i am missing any codes or anything? We have AAA, but WDW said we can't use it on packages??? But we want the DDP and the ASMu Suites (apparently you can't book just the suite it has to be a package?) so that is why we got the package. I could even do without the DDP if I had to. What do you think??

$400 off the rate quoted by Disney themselves seems like an ok discount - not amazing, but decent.

You might be mistaken (or what they said was wrong) about the suites being available for packages only.

I think it is the fact that you want the DDP that restricts you to a package - not the choice of room. You can't buy the DDP a la carte, so to speak, unless you are a DVC member (I think this is correct).

I have seen others mention that they have booked the ASMu Suites as a room only and applied their AAA discount to the ressie.

If you think you can budget your food expenses, and get some good discounts on tickets (AAA sells a discounted 7 day hopper with water parks for less than the Disney rate), then book the Suite as a room only and have them apply the AAA discount.

I believe you can get an AAA discount on a package but it must be booked through AAA. The discount for AAA is on the room only portion of the package.

I did this last year, and received the CAA (I'm in Canada)discount on the room portion of my package. This should be the same for AAA though.

I just called today because I got the 40% off pin code. For 10 nights (in December) with 1 day base tickets and the DDP for 2 adults and 4 kids (10, 8, 6 and 4) it was $3700.. that was 1 day base tickets. So I think you got a good price!

You can book the Suites as a room only, I have one booked right now for April 30-May 3, 2008. Also, you can get a AAA discount, but you have to book the package through a AAA agent.

It sound like a prettyy good deal to me, especially with the park hoppers and water park and more with that many children. I am paying $3031.92 for 3 adults for 8 nights Dec 13-21, 2008 with DDP and one day base ticket with a AAA discount savings of $250. Only 6 nights are discounted because part of our trip falls into the Holiday season, but I still think it is a great rate.
