is there a way to ignore a thread?

there's on thread on the CB and every time i see its title, i feel physically ill. is there any where for me to not have to see it?

hop'in that it isn't....I'm nert sure....I thought the ignor thingy only works against a specific userid....I guess yer could put the orginator of 'the thread' on your ignor list (assuming it's not a mod) and *maybe* you won't see the thread???

Y'know, when I tried asking that same question, I got ridiculed and flamed for being "too sensitive" and "unable to just ignore the thread"

In other words, I wish there were. I've had the same reaction to a few threads myself.

No, ignoring the poster won't help.

It might not bother most people, but I'm glad it's not on the first page anymore.

Well, (taking a guess here) I really think the thread belongs on the Debate Board. But it seems like some people who love to argue refuse to go over there. I wonder if they feel it's a (perceived) lack of audience numbers or a lack of cajones?

I'm pretty sure I know which thread it is, Hes. Just don't let it get to you. I've stayed off that thread myself, not because I don't agree with the post, because I very much do. I just figure my 2 cents worth is unnecessary. But, like Jeff said, it belongs on the debate board.

There isn't anyway to use the ignore feature on specific threads that I'm aware of.

If there is something in a title that might be pushing the guidelines, send me a PM and I'll see if it needs to be changed.

If it's just something you find distasteful. . while I might agree with you, I'm afraid there isn't anything that can be done about it.
