Anyone been to DLP on Bastille Day?

It has just worked out (by accident) that our one day in DLP falls on Bastille Day. Has anyone ever been there and have any feedback?

I checked the wait time history on thrilldata and it did not look too bad by comparison to the US parks, and the ability to purchase "premier access" by the ride should help.

I understand that the nighttime fireworks/drone show is unbelievable and not to be missed. I tried to purchase "preferred access" for the reserved seating area, but it does not seem to be available -- either already sold out, or they are not doing it, or they drop those reservations at some point in time that I am unaware of. Other days in July are available, and I was able to get preferred access for the Lion King show and if I wanted I could get the preferred access for the parade, just not the nighttime show.

I have visited on July fourteenth several years ago and it sure is a busy day. There are special fireworks, but that's about it. You cannot really compare it with Independence day celebrations in the USA. I have visited DLP many times, but even a New Years Eve there isn't as busy and crowded as a really busy day at WDW. Last NYE we were able to do Star Tours 5 times in one hour, for example (-: So don't worry you will be fine, especially if you plan to buy premier access.
