Is PIF date, the same day you can book PAT?

Depends on what your Castaway Club level is. Are you a first time cruiser? Then your online check in window opens at 75 days out from the cruise. One of the steps (the last one) in the check in process is selecting a PAT. One note, you must fill in all blanks on the previous pages for the PAT page to "unlock". Now, those answers can be correct, or the default answers, or gibberish. But something needs to be entered for all blanks. You can go back later and correct any errors.

You can get these dates by pulling up your reservation on the DCL website. Your PIF date will appear in the "Reservation Summary" box and your check-in date (when you reserve your PAT) is in the "My Online Check-In" box.

I only care about getting an early PAT, because I am traveling w/my sister & she is in a concierge cabin. I want to try and get an early PAT, so I don't hold her up.

If you don't get an early PAT when you check-in keep checking back periodically. When I checked in for our first cruise, midnight 75 days out, I got an 11:45 PAT. I kept checking for a Castaway Cay cabana (never got one) and, lo and behold, 10:30 PATs showed up a couple of weeks after check-in. Snagged one of those as soon as I saw it. A fellow cruiser also snagged a cabana at about 60 days out. So keep checking - you never know what will show up.

You didn't mention your cruise destination so, just in case it is Alaska, the PIF is 30 days before the date for booking activities opens.
