Room Assignment

That's interesting. I could see if they were contradictory that they would go with the official online check-in. I think I'll go ahead and clear the room requests via online check-in and then call two weeks before with the same details provided by TP.
Good luck that you get your request!

Actually there is no way for you to clear your room requests by trying to update your Online Check-in request(s) once you have completed your Online Check-in. If you know what your requests are now, call reservations, and have your request(s) noted on your reservation now.

Then two (2) weeks before your trip, I would suggest you call reservations, and confirm that your request(s) are noted on your reservation.

This is the best way to have the highest chance of your request(s) being met. If you have more than (1) request make sure that you put them in your order of preference. Once you get to your resort it is also a good idea to stop by the Front desk, and confirm your requests with the CM, and ask if your assigned room matches any of your request(s) or if there might be a room available that might meet your requests. They do have some flexibility to adjust your room assignment dynamically if there is room inventory that might match as of that specific time.

Touring plans last 3 trips. 2 bedroom AKL, I chose 3 room numbers and have got one of the 3 each time. Previous years I sent request directly to resort (not room numbers just location) and my requests were not honored.

Hmm, the online check-in on the website let me clear them both to none last night and shows this in the app. That said, I'll take your advice in calling now and then calling two weeks before hand to confirm

For those who don't know a good way to check on your room location is TouringPlans room view maps.
Right! Exactly what I do for complicated places like BLT, AKL-Kidani and BW.
Saratoga Springs is easy because building # floor # is straightforward.

And looking helps me shape my room request. I am careful to shape it for a large enough selection to improve my odds.
For Kidani, I said near lobby. I just want a shorter walk to the bus and pool. For Bay Lake Tower, I have a Theme Park 1BR and discovered on TouringPlans there are only 2 per floor in the center tower section! So I just asked for high floor.
At Saratoga Springs I say Grandstand 8000s which are the two near the bus and pool - that leaves a lot of possible rooms.
I get my request more than 50% of the time.
