Is Mineral Makeup "Addicting"?

hey ladies - does BE (or the stores that carry their products like Ulta) have a product just for dark circles under eyes? this is my biggest make up problem and nothing i have purchased yet seems to effectively work there.

Lori, I use Bisque from BE. I guess it depends on how dark the circles are, but it works for me. Maybe there is something else from BE for dark circles? :confused3 Anyone know?

When I apply mine, I use the skin rev'r upper...just a little...then my normal moisturizer (mary kay timewise)...let that dry a bit...then I use the flawless application brush I got in my kit for the first layer of foundation...then the bisque with the maximum concealer brush for my undereyes and any blemishes...then another layer of foundation...teeny tiny bit of warmth with the flawless application brush for blush and light, light, light touch all over...then my eyeshadows...then I apply the mineral veil with the baby buki to finish it off.

I don't know if that's the "right" way to do it, but it works well for me! I can't get my undereye circles to completely disappear, but it does lighten them up!

The only additional items that I have purchased that didn't come with my kit were the bisque and the buzz latte lip balm...

QVC sells well rested eye shadow, application brush, and eye rev-er upper as a kit. That is supposed to help with darkness around the eyes, also. :goodvibes

I am so excited to give this a try. My order should be here next week. :hyper:

all right...now I want to jump on the band wagon! I am a long time Clinique user and I am really starting to hate the stuff! I think it makes me look old now and I have some serious issues with dark circles under my eyes that nothing seems to help :worried:

I am so overwhelmed trying to figure out what products to get, what shade to get...I really would like to go and havea BE professional recommend some things. There are a couple of Spehora's not too far away...I could make a trip there. I've never been to Sephora ~ how are the consultants there? I'm really no good at picking the right shades etc. ~ I always go with the recommendation from the consultants at Clinique.

YES, it is addicting. I used to be a Clinique fan, but now I am a BE "snob"! :snooty: :teeth:

Ok...as I posted earlier, I bought the QVC Today's Special Value. I want to make sure I do this right from the start. When I wash my face in the morning, I usually apply a spf 15 moisturizer. I'm in the market for a new moisturizer anyway in addition to some eyecream. I have dry wrinkles, even crepey looking skin there with dark circles. I ordered the BM Bisque/brush from QVC yesterday because this supposedly helps with the dark circles? What general moisturizers and eye creams work best with BE? I assume I still use them or is there a BE equivalent that I should be using? What do all you BE experts use? I also saw a Rever - upper type product. Should I be using this in addition to my moiturizers or in lieu of? Help!

Any moisturizer & eye cream that you love! BE mineral foundations have an SPF 15 that really works!

Under eye circles? I think I have tried it all and nothing helps mine. My left eye looks like someone gave me a black eye w/o any concealer on it. With concealer, I look a bit better but honestly, I have the worst and should be the person the test all under eye concealer's on!!

No, I hadn't seen that yet. But I did see that Physician's Formula is now making a mineral foundation. So far, I've only heard that it is being sold at Ulta (did not see it in the Physician's Formula section at Target).

I found the Physician's Formula mineral foundation at CVS today and for some reason it looked like a liquid that you apply with a sponge applicator. I also found the Neutrogena mineral foundation and bought it. I'll let you all know how it works.

Keep in mind that I HATE foundations and only ever wear them for very special occasions. I'm going to try it tomorrow when I go to school.

Where did you find the Neutrogena mineral foundation?

Also, I am intrigued, I use liquid now, but see BE on QVC and am curious about trying it. I have oily skin and large pores. Anybody out there with similar skin using BE? Do you like it?

I found it at CVS for $12. It's supposed to be at Target as well. I also saw mineral eye shadows and powders, but most of the shadows were sold out.

I tried it out and I'm not sure if I like it. It's a super-fine powder (talc free) and I had a really hard time telling if it was going on my face or not.

I think for anyone hesitating to spend more on the BE, this might be a good start before taking the plunge. If you can find it at Rite Aid, all the better because of their great makeup return policy. :thumbsup2

I have the Neutrogena mineral foundation and I purchased it from Walmart a couple of weeks ago. I also couldn't tell if it was going on my face. So I kept putting it on and on.

That is why I wanted to try BE. Because everyone talks about how wonderful it is.

I am a new BE user and love the way it feels. I haven't been using anything for the circles under my eyes and decided to try something the other night. Before I put on my foundation, I used a small eye shadow brush and put a little bit of mineral veil under my eyes first. Then I put on my foundation etc. And finished with mineral veil all over. I noticed that the circles were gone. It made a big difference. I recently bought the Kabuki brush duo that was on sale on QVC.

I had gotten to where the only time I would wear makeup was for some special occasion or for my dance recitals. Now since it takes no time at all to put on BE, I still don't use it every day, but when I had to go to a breakfast meeting, I was able to put on makeup before I left the house. By the end of the day, I wasn't feeling like I had a ton of makeup on. I still felt like I did first thing in the morning. I LOVE BE!!! :thumbsup2

I just got 2 new eyeshadows today (Myth & Zen)... I'm not very adventurous with color but I had to try these!!! I am definitely a convert!!!!

Do you mean that it didn't provide good coverage? With BE, a little goes a long way.

I bought a starter kit. I tried it and I must've been heavy handed with the stuff. It looked like I got in a tussle with a powder puff and the puff won. :scared: :crazy2:

I'll have to play with it some. I'm sure it takes some time to get it right. :)

No - Just that it didn't look like it was going on. I never noticed a difference in my face. It is weird because the mineral comes out thru the brush. It is not like you dip your brush into anything. You shake it and than run the brush across your face. :confused3

Hope that helps.

 - That is what I am afraid is going to happen to me.

Interesting... :scratchin I can see how the design of that brush would be a problem.

OMG! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's so funny, yet such an accurate description of the first time I tried BE. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It takes practice, but you get better over time.

::yes:: - plus it could be that I was not used to using mineral type foundation. But I really didn't notice a difference in my face.

And when I was watching QVC lastnight, those ladies totally looked different.

Okay, you guys talked me into it! I ordered the starter kit from BE today. I can't wait until it comes in! I've been noticing that I'm blotchy this time of year. I hate wearing foundation so I am looking forward to trying this. I wear blush and lip gloss every day but that's it. I couldn't figure out what the catch was until it automatically signed me up for the club-duh! I'm going to wait to see how much I use before I cancel the membership. From what most of you are saying, I don't think I'll need more foundation in 2 months!
