Is Mineral Makeup "Addicting"?

Grrrrrrrrr!!!
My starter kit from Sephora is being held hostage at the post office. The tracking says they were here at 9:30am and they left a slip. I was here at that hour and there is no slip. Ugh! So I can't even claim it. I can't go there anyway because they are only open while I am at work or commuting home. :(

I also bought the Bisque to use as an under eye concealer. I have dark circles...its a family/heritage thing. Does anyone have dark shadows on the inside of their eyes also? I usually use a neutilizer stick here and it works wonders. Do I use the Bisque for this area also? Has anyone used it in this area or is it too close to my eyes that I would risk getting it into my eyes? Thanks.

the bisque is supposed to be good for dark circles, but I haven't had any luck. I also read to mix it with something peachy and that didn't work for me either. I do know people on this board have said it does work for them though. My next step is to try an eye cream to see if that helps minimize and then maybe the bisque would work.

I use Well Rested for undereye circles, and I love it. It completely brightens the eye area--really wakes it up. I use moisturizer before to soften any lines. I'm more warmed-toned and Summer Bisque suits me more than Bisque--but I don't use it for circles, just spot-coverage.

luvmydogs,
Can you tell me how you apply the Well Rested. I just bought some for under my eyes but not sure how to do it.

Hi Christine!

I just got Well Rested last week, and although I never wear makeup when I'm just going to be at home, I've been wearing this everyday since I got it. It's really made a difference in my eye area. :)

I moisturize my face first, and very well under my eyes because they're so dry. I let the moisturizer settle in, then use the WR before I apply my foundation. I just saw Leslie on QVC recently, and when she demo'd it, she said to not be afraid to use it a good inch or two under your eyes--so that's what I do. I use a large eyeshadow brush (Sonia Kashuk, cheap but good at Target), and do the swirl and tap with a very small amount. I lightly sweep it under my eyes, over the dark circles and just a little below. I also sweep it over the eyeshadow base on my lids--it really evens out the skin tone. Like the foundation, use just a little as you can build coverage later if needed. When I apply my foundation, I make sure I buff it up into the WR, so instead of an obvious color change, it just looks like my eye area is very awake and bright. When my foundation's done, if I feel I need anymore WR, I add it then and just blend well. I really love it! :)

Is Well Rested something that can be used for dark areas on the inside corner of the eye/alongside the nose? Or is this too close to the eye that you can't blend it correctly or risk getting it into the eye? This area is VERY dark on me and I normally use a neutralizer stick here to brighten it up.

This is where I'm trying to use it too. I'm not too worried about it. I put the foundation right up to my eyes and on eyelids and in the corner of my eye.

Hmmmmm..... I don't have dark areas where you describe, but I do blend the WR into my eyeshadow on either side of the bridge of my nose so that you don't see a definitive stopping of the shadow (if that makes any sense). I use a 2.3 foundation with a little 3.0 mixed in to neutralize the yellow, and WR is very bright on me, although it blends well and gives me the look I want--so I kind of use it in the area that you're trying to brighten, and it doesn't look garish on me at all. It's very, very light and you only need to use a small amt., so you could probably control getting into your eye if you used a very little at a time. And with other BE I've tried--a very little goes a long way. Somewhere in this thread is a site where you can order samples for a very good price, so tht you don't have to spend a lot of $ on a product that doesn't work well for you--I always get a sample first. I'll go look up the post. :)

If you hate how make up feels on your face, you will probably like how this stuff feels.

Funny side note, one day I wore my liquid make up to work, and right away I got questions asking if I was sick! It's the stuff I used to always wear before switching. Don't think I'll ever go back now!

Another clueless person here.... can you get this stuff anywhere ??
ie. target /walmart etc.. is it only online.. or do they have their own store inside a mall??

(see .. i am clueless....) TIA

Okay ladies - I tried my B.E. today. I think I was so afraid of putting too much that I didn't use enough.

I need to figure out my eyes because I was NOT happy with them and ending up using my old faithful stuff.

I was tempted to put more foundation on but I walked away and figured today would be my trial run.

I thought I read somewhere that there is a site where you can watch them apply the B.E. Is that true or did I dream it?

I had a *frightening* experience with the Well Rested today. I decided to mix a little with some moisturizer (the Skin Rever Upper). Oh my God, that did NOT do well under my eye. Seemed to excentuate my lines, wrinkles, etc. I guess I will go back to using it dry or maybe just continue with a cream concealer.
