Is Mineral Makeup "Addicting"?

Well I broke down and bought some off of QVC.
I was talking it over with a friend of mine who is older. She wants to know how it does with wrinkles and if it cakes on?
TIA

Okay another question ladies.

I purchased the Summer Bisque, what do you use it for?

I love my summer bisque. I use it for the dark circles under my eyes. I also use it has a "cover up" for blemishes and other imperfectiosn on my face. I also have used it has a base for eyeshadow. Makes shadow go on smoother and looks nicer.

Okay that is what I thought but was not sure.

So do you put it on before or after the foundation?

I put it on before my foundation. I use the concealer brush. It's great for covering any reddish places that you have on your face. :thumbsup2

After reading this thread i ordered bare minerals off their website in medium color starter kit. Now I'm not sure if I should have gotten the light color?

How dark is the medium?

Because it is finely ground minerals it does not cake on or flake off or get into wrinkles and fill them up like the other kind of foundation. If anything, it dimishes fine lines and wrinkles.

Medium is very forgiving. Unless you have porcelin skin the medium will work. If you do think it is too dark after trying it for a week or so send it back and try a lighter color.

Well I'm day 3 into using BE and I really like it. It takes some adjusting and I think I need some more colors :teeth: just for scientific research of course. I CANNOT for the life of me figure out the eyeliner thing but then again I've never worn any anways. Also now I need some sort of concerlear that I didn't get in my fashionnista package. I also bought the summer radiance or soemthing like that(looks like bronze sparkly) and I love it for night time outings. This mascara is crazy awesome. I love it and I cannot believe that it does not smudge after wearing it for 14 hours. Thanks for the high reccomendations of BE :thumbsup2

I am anxiously awaiting my first delivery of this stuff after reading all of your positve remarks. I have been a clinique user since I started wearing makeup, so I will be very interested to see how this compares. Hopefully my kit will come today so I can experiment this weekend!

Thanks for the info, I can't wait to try it!

Is the mascara the brushless kind that was talked about in this thread?

That mascara is so strange. But I also love how it makes my lashes look. :thumbsup2

I have been using my BE all week and I still don't have it right yet.

I can't get the hang of the eyeliner either, but I am used to using a pencil.

::yes:: - It is very cool. Amazing how long and thick your lashes look when you are done. :thumbsup2

I have been wearing BE for almost a week now and I can't give it enough praise!! People at work says it looks awesome and I am getting the hang of doing it correctly and quickly too. I LOVE the brushless mascara - just wish it was waterproof. It makes my lashes super long and lush. I have summer bisque to use as a concealer (I have rosacea) and you can't even tell anymore. My face looks great all day long and I don't really have to touch it up. I am a total addict now. How does it hold up in the summer? Sweaty and Humid weather especially? So far it's been awesome.

has anyone used the Physicians formula? Is it comparable to BE?
It's so much cheaper

Theonly problem I have had in the summer is if my face is already too sticky from the humidity I can't apply it. Sooo, what I do is make sure I am cool and dry, even if I have to have a small fan on my face for a minute, and they apply. It stays all day unless I really start to do some heavy sweating. Even then, it doesn't streak but if I wipe the sweat off my face, the minerals do come off. I can't say enough good things about BE.

I wear the light. The medium was too dark for me...but I'm pretty pale.

Thanks - I usually don't wear face makeup in the summer. I use tons of sunblock, but still wind up with "color" on my face, so foundation isn't necessary for me, but sometimes you just want that extra boost.

I ordered off of the bareminerals.com...a starter kit.
Is that where everyone orders from?
Are you automatically joined into the club that they send you more every so often?

I was just wondering what makes BE different from Physicians Formula or other natural mineral makeup that you can get at the natural health food stores around here such as Larenim? www.larenim.com
Thanks!

That's what I was wondering. I saw the PF one at the pharmacy and I was wondering if it's worth checking out.
