I don't feel like I get in the nooks and crannies of my face with the kabuki brush like I do the regular brush. On the other hand, my mother doesn't use the flawless app. brush for anything but mineral veil, and swears by the kabuki brush. So I guess it's just a personal thingBeth76 said:If you use a kabuki brush, how do you like it? I've been using BE for over 3 years and just recently bought the full-sized kabuki since everyone raves about it. But, I find that I really don't like it as well as my regular brush (the one that comes with the kit). I don't know if maybe I'm doing something wrong or if I just need to get a different feel for the handle.

Binkrin said:I have seen infomercials on bareMinerals and I have read some of the posts you ladies have written about it. I am extremely interested. Any advice, tips, or words of wisdom you can share? I have figured out that a lot of people go to QVC to get this, but is it ok to get it on Ebay? Does Sephora give you a good assortment of choices?
Most importantly, is it difficult to use? It seems complicated, with the tapping and swirling...![]()
It just seems like it's a significant amount of money and I would like to know what I am getting myself into. TIA!!![]()

Binkrin, I do suggest you check out www (dot) delphiforums (dot)com. The Bare Escentuals Addicts section has a wealth of information. Just like any newbie search and read the FAQ's pages. There's so much I'm learning from them. Good luck and I hope you find the right minerals for you.
mckryan said:My big suggestion about the shiny is this: Put a light layer of Mineral Veil under your foundation. Now, apply just a little foundation. Walk away from your mirror for a few minutes and return. Look in the mirror and see if you have the coverage you want. If not, apply just a little more and do the same thing. You can finish up with another layer of MV if you want. Many times, people are too shiny because they either use way too much foundation and/or buff wayyyyy too much. If you buff just a little, you get a more matte look.
I'm glad you are enjoying the BE Addicts forum. I started it on a whim in 2000, and here it is, 6 years later, going stronger than ever. Don't forget to check out www.beaddicts.com for lots and lots of information.
taeja71 said:That's what I think I did wrong the first time around. This time, I'm going to try even less and try not to use the wax on wax off theroy (from the first Karate Kid movie). Plus, I'm going to buy extra MV and maybe mix it with my foundation blend to see if that will help. I watched the Q show and Leslie was just sweeping with the brush not waxing on and waxing off.![]()

I just could not stop watching it!
Binkrin said:Ok, don't make fun of me please. Just a newbie question:
Can I still use my favorite eye shadow (not BE) or is this frowned upon?
