Is Mineral Makeup "Addicting"?

Most everyone here uses Bare Minerals, myself included. You can get starter kits from their website, QVC, Sephora and Ulta. I know some like Everyday Minerals and Sheer Cover as well. I've been using BM for nearly 4 years now and I love it. I only get full sized containers of foundation and get sample sizes for eyeshadows, blushes, etc. That way I can try more colors without breaking the bank. 1/4 teaspoon sample sizes last me several months, if not longer.

That's good to know. I wound up ordering BM Bare esscentials foundation, brush, and that stuff you put on to make yourself look airbrushed all from Sephora. Can't wait until it gets here!

Has anyone been watching the shows today on QVC? I'm considering getting the TSP. That tote looks awesome! And the only thing I already have from the kit is foundation, which I know I'll use. I've always said I wouldn't order full-sized from QVC, but that tote is too tempting to pass up. :goodvibes

I was soooo tempted to buy the TSV but $99 is a bit steep for me right now so I just bought the starter kit. I use BM-but just foundation and Warmth. The eyeshadows and lipsticks were so pretty today. I was so tempted but I very rarely use eyeshadow. Where can I get those sample sizes? Ebay? Could you PM me a good seller? Thanks

It is available on 3 payments. The new eye liner brush and the bag pushed me to order. I can't wait to get it.

But hurry - they have less than 8,000 left.

I just ordered the TSV. Look at my post that is quoted at the top of this page that says I never buy full-size eyeshadows. They got me!! :lmao: This is seriously a great deal though. The foundation alone is $25. And I have a pretty new container of my main foundation. I've been blending it with a deeper color so I went ahead and bought that one for the kit (since I only have a sample size). :thumbsup2 So for only $75 more I got several new brushes, the tote and a few colors. I think it all evened out. :cool1:

Oh and here's the person that I've bought samples from on ebay. I've only used her once, but the samples are great and she sent them almost immediately. Unfortunately, she's closed her shop for a few days and you can't even browse. But take a look when she opens it up again.

Sometimes I *HATE* reading these boards...

 Now we can have a I-got-my-TSV-today party! You know you'll be happy when you get it. I'm very excited about that tote. I always watch QVC when Leslie's on and this is the first time that I could not pass up the TSV.

Great. Off to QVC I went. I am a sucker for tote bags.

I haven't posted on this thread yet. I have posted a few times on the CB to ask about BE. I got information from all of you back in September when I started to consider buying it. Well, everyone did such a great job helping me, and I bought it! mckryan gave me the link to her web site, too. Everyone has been so helpful. I love my BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is truly so much better than the liquid stuff. I buy all of my BE at Ulta. I have a store about 10 minutes from my house. My DH hates when he hears me say I am going to Ulta because he knows I will take forever looking at products and spend lots of money buying them. Honestly, I think I am at the store at least once a week. ;)
Thanks all of you BE DISers. You convinced me to try it and I am loving it!!!!!! Yes, I am a BE addict!
Now I have to go watch QVC.

Oh, thanks for posting about today's deal at QVC! couldn't resist - ended up buying. Going to check out that ebay store too after 2/14 - sounds like a great place!

Ok, I have been kicking around the idea of trying the BE products for a while. My concern is that I'm 41 and still have minor breakouts (gawd...does this ever end??!!). My skin is also classic combination: oily t-zone and dry cheeks. I currently use liquid foundation, but I'm not thrilled with it lately. Do you BE guru's think it would work on my skin? My biggest fear is that it won't provide enough coverage or even out my skin color. I also don't want to spend a fortune and hate it! Also, how do you pick the right colors?

Any suggestions....???

TIA!
Sammy

First- Can you turn to QVC rught now - The founder of BE is on and they always give great tips on application for all kinds of complextion issues.

QVC has a 30 day no question asked return policy - try it for a few weeks. It does take a few days to get used to.

Don't wait another minute... get BE!

It works beautifully on me and I have freckles! Have you ever had to put makeup over freckles? It never works! If you match your foundation to your skin tone, the freckles become pasty. If you match your foundation to your freckles, you look like an Oompa Loompa. If you aim for a color somewhere in between, you look ghastly. I don't care how cute other people seem to think freckles are, they are a beauty solution nightmare.

BE gives me the most beautiful complexion I have ever had. I don't get break outs and my skin is combo. It lasts much longer than liquid foundation, too. Do let us know the moment you become addicted, too...

Sammy, I have skin just like you described. I am almost 42yo. i have used BE since Laslie started with it on QVC sooo many years ago (she only brought the foundation to sell and just had like a 3 min. presentation!!)

I love BE. I also ordered the TSV. I don't purchase all the TSVs but when it is a really good deal, I can't pass it up.
QVCs return policy is a great one. Don't be afraid to try it.

Thanks for the replies! Off to the QVC site to place my first BE order....

You'll love it! I ended up ordering the TSV set, the giant mineral veil, the light eyes and the smokey eyes kit.... Just shoot me!

:cutie:

Has anyone received their QVC package yet? According to UPS, mine left the local warehouse this morning, so I should be getting it today. Unfortunately, my UPS guy doesn't usually come around until 5pm. I can't wait!!!

I got mine on Wednesday! (I had it delivered Priority Mail).
I love everything except for the lip gloss. It lasts about 10 seconds on me. They say to use it often, which means a tube a day at that rate.

I tend to like gloss more than lipstick, so hopefully it will work for me. I've never tried their lip gloss though.
part of mine shipped on Monday and part on Wednesday so I'm patiently waiting.......NOT!!!!!
Mine shipped on Monday so maybe you'll get your first shipment today!
