Is Mineral Makeup "Addicting"?

Its been a while, but there were posters who said they were waiting for their BE items to arrive, or they were going to go to get BE in person.

So, to those who have received/bought BE, what do your think???

Here's my update-I love it!!! I got the starter kit back in Feb or March (after reading this thread I might add :surfweb: ). This stuff lasts forever. I also like how it evens out my skin tone without making me feel like I'm wearing makeup. I just wear the foundation, a blush and mineral veil everyday. I've been to the store at the King of Prussia Mall here in PA and bought one of the lip kits (in nude) along with some eye makeup. I am less likely to wear the eye makeup (I do love that, too! :lovestruc ) but that's just because I wear contacts and sometimes eye makeup bothers them.

I've never shopped QVC before (can you believe it?). How does it work? Do you have to buy the items while they are being shown? If I can't watch during the posted times am I out of luck? I bought a starter kit from Ulta and am ready to buy some refills.

Thanks!

UMTerp

I've never shopped QVC ever either and am interested to know their protocol as well. :listen: Man, I should've payed attention to my Grandma when she made all those QVC orders.

ooOOHHHooo. Then, which bisque would conceal my red spots/ acne?
What about the tinted MV, does it add just a touch of color?

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now with all the BE info that's out there. Straighten me out all!

The bisque covers my adult acne very well!!!!! That's why I love it so much. The tinted MV gives a small amount of color, but is no substitution for the foundation. Hope this helps!!!!

I'm hanging on your every word...

What color bisque and MV do you have? Should the bisque match the foundation or the tinted MV?

more posting from me....
I found colorsprinkles dot com and am filling up my shopping cart for samples pretty quick.

I also want to let you ladies know that AVON has some facial brushes in one of their campaigns (#12). There's a slanted eyeshadow brush and an eyeliner brush for $1.99 ea.. Also, there is foundation brush for $3.99. I won't know how they feel/compare until my AVON order arrives, but I thought I'd thow this piece of info out to you all.

ETA: Avon also has a Skin Optimizer AM (poreless, lineless, flawless is the claim). 1fl oz promoed at$15.00 reg. 22. I'm hoping to get a sample of this and try it. Is this product new? If not, have any of you tried it before?

Another thing I was wondering. All the lids are the same (except the MV lid). How do you tell the products apart w/o turning the containers upside down? I was thinking of a label maker might work... what do you BE users do?

I would like to know this too! Right now I just have them in a certain order on my makeup table. It would be nice if the lids were slightly different! MV is different so that helps!

I have the regular bisque and the Summer Bisque. I prefer the regular, even with my tan. I just feel it conceals better. I have both the regular and tinted MV. I use the regular when I don't have much of a tan and the tinted MV with a tan. Not that it gives you alot of color, it doesn't. I think it just looks better.

The containers pretty much look the same, although the sizes can be different. Making labels really is a good idea!!!!!

I finally applied BE before doing some quick errands. I looked on the bottom of the container and there's a sticker with the product name underneath. I was thinking of cutting the name portion off and taping it to the top of the lid.

AFTER mineral veil? Wow...I'm doing this all wrong. I was putting it on after the foundation and BEFORE my blush and mineral veil. I wasn't seeing anything noticeable as a result. Maybe this is why.
Hi! I use it last because it is very luminous and catches the light. It makes your skin look dewey. You'll love it! :goodvibes

I don't have prblems with this but I know there is a tip to minimize your pores but right now I can't think of it. It may be mineral veil, foundation, then mineral veil again but I just can't be sure.
You are right about this tip. Leslie was talking about this the last time she was on QVC. Mineral veil first, foundation then mineral veil. My Mom told me about this and it's been working great for her! :thumbsup2

OK, so I finally gave in and purchased some of this stuff. I purchased the light get started kit from Sephora. I really like all the stuff. I have to use the fairly light foundation. I use the warth as just an allover additional little bit of color (mainly cheeks) - is that right?

I just ordered another one off of ebay for less along with the larger sizes of the foundation and MV. Any other products that you all would recommend?

Why did i tune into this thread again - BE has never worked for me because it has emphasized my pores, BIG time...I've returned it every single time i've bought it for this reason but something always sucks me back in...
Now i see this tip...I will not buy again - i will not buy again - oh who am i kidding, i'll probably try it yet again... :lmao:

Ordering from QVC is very easy. You simply call them and set up an account. You can order anything they have in stock at any time. Even if it isn't in stock you can put things on waitlist. I get the vast majority of my BE from QVC. They have a much larger selection then they do at Sephora or Ulta.

As far as the double application of MV, I do that in the summer with all the humidity.

And yes, I am a Mineral Addict.

I was out at 8pm tonight. It was 82 degrees according to the therm. reader in the van. My face looked great after being in the heat. I could feel my face wanting to bead, but every thing stayed on. I'm still really impressed. I ordered some samples so I am anxious to receive those too. I got Glee and rose radiance.

Do any of you know about the Natural light (well lit/back lit) product? Any one have it yet? What are your thoughts? Its supposed to have a lifting effect??

Keep posting all! I'm really getting into a BE groove. :woohoo:

I just started using BE a few months ago and I really like Well Rested for the eye area. It brightens things up and conceals dark circles.

O.k., the rebel that I am found another mineral product called, Every Day Minerals. It seems awfully close to BE. Any one tried this one yet? Heard of it? Here's the link, http://www.everydayminerals.com/.

If you use a kabuki brush, how do you like it? I've been using BE for over 3 years and just recently bought the full-sized kabuki since everyone raves about it. But, I find that I really don't like it as well as my regular brush (the one that comes with the kit). I don't know if maybe I'm doing something wrong or if I just need to get a different feel for the handle.

It depends on how much coverage that you're looking for.

I tried the Flawless Application brush (in the average kit), and I have blotchy spots on my cheeks. It didn't quite do the job for me for covering them up.

I sprang for a Kabuki- which gives more coverage to the areas that need it. I love it, and the baby Kabuki is great for small areas and a quickie.

Keep in mind that the Kabuki is a fuller, more dense brush- so it's going to pick up more minerals. So start with a smaller amount, and build from there.

The same idea is for everything- you can always add more/build by layer. It's harder to tone down an over application. I made that mistake the first time I used Warmth. Orange wasn't the word!

I hope that this helps....

So, ladies, what do you think you'll get the TSV on the 27th or will you spring and buy more? Any one use Natural light (well lit/back lit) yet? I can't wait to wear minerals on my cruise!
