I was wondering if it is harder to get reservations for a party of 3. Especially for character meals like CRT.

I had no problem booking everything I wanted for our party of 3. For characters I booked CRT and Akershus for lunches, and Chef Mickey's for breakfast. I booked at about 140 days. I'm at about 100 days now and I'm looking for an 8am at Chef Mickey's on a different day than I originally booked, and I can't get it, but I don't think I could get it for 2 or 4, either.

It can be, but it depends on the restaurant. The dining system doesn't always seem to know that a party of 3 can be seated at a table for a party of 4. So sometimes, you'll find that it tells you there is no availability, but if you increase the party size to 4, you find options. In general, odd numbered parties tend to have more issues with the system than even-numbered issues. I think this is especially true at restaurants that have tables for 3 (e.g., Boma, 'Ohana, etc.). I've only had this issue come up a few times, so when it happened, I went ahead and made the reservation for 4 and then told them at the podium that were a party of 3.
