Is it December Yet?? Cancelled with a Heavy Heart!

:sad2: I hope you are able to get everything straightened out!! What a pain!

Thank You!! I hope so too!! The real pain part, is actually getting through to talk with someone that actually knows something. Takes forever to get through to the answer center & they won't let you talk to anyone of importance.

I hate that there has been a major delay or hold-up in things (due to the IRS) two years in a row. How maddening! It was bad enough last year - and at that point you only had to cancel the HalloweenTime DLR trip because of the delay, which is not as big of a deal.

But this year's planned trip...this year is different. I think that all of us in this thread will be on the edge of our seats, crossing our fingers, sending out good vibes into the universe and holding our collective breath until you tell us that things have been ironed out money-wise and the trip is going to happen. I know we all want you and the family to have this wonderful Christmas vacation. Even if you never get back to WDW again - even if you don't get back to Disneyland for quite some time - this special holiday trip has got to happen, somehow, some way!:grouphug:

It's frustrating for sure.....at least with last's year speed bump, we at least received a letter telling us why. This time it's like it got dropped or we didn't receive the letter & since we didn't respond....it was closed out. We don't have a locked mailbox.....but we don't seem to have issues in this neighborhood, so I really don't know what's going on this time. That's what scares me the most!

I will definitely keep everyone posted. The other thing that could come in at some point is the inheritance from my dad & step-mom's estate. It looks like the sale of their home is pending, and once that finalizes, the will/estate will be settled. But again, not sure how long all of that will take. Granted we have until Oct. to pay off the package.....but holding off until then to get flights is dicey at best. I just wish once in a while, we'd be cut a break........ :rolleyes2

I am so sorry Laurie. I did not see your other post earlier

I will be praying and sending good vibes, that you can figure out what is going on and get this matter resolved quickly :goodvibes

Thanx Michele & Kelly!!

I could hope that the IRS resolved this quickly but I know better.....lol My head just hurts from this news. We've been sitting on pins & needles, just barely staying afloat with our bills, knowing this money was coming to get us on board.......now this. Just wondering when things are gonna start going in our favor. Right now 2012 has to be hands down the worst year ever.

Laurie. I'm SO sorry to hear you are having IRS issues again!! Hopefully you will hear something shortly!

Oh Laurie, that is really crappy! And I thought our government was a pain to get a hold of for things like that. At least we can eventually talk to someone on the phone after many holds of course.

I hope that they call you back or are prompt with a letter response. It's not fair to keep someone waiting for money like that.

The thing that always gets me about the government is the fact that if you owe them money you better get it to them immediately.

I just don't understand why it was closed out......and the frustration of not knowing why and wondering how long it will take to find out just adds to the stress. We should have had the money long before now. Last year H&R Block left out the most important form from the returns.....but this year, we went over everything & included copies of everything with both 2009 & 2010, just so we wouldn't have any problems. We finalized & had the money at 26 weeks, 10 weeks after they notified us that the form was missing. We're at 21 weeks with no end in sight now. :sad1:

Very true!!

I won't buy that we didn't receive a letter, because we did receive one back in April stating 2009 was done with the carryforward to 2010. So someone just dropped the ball here. But do I get to talk to someone of importance??? Absolutely not. Just a call center where they read the screen and that's it.

That is the thing that really ticks me off!! Did you ask to speak to a supervisor?

I will if I have to call back. I'll give them a couple weeks to get a letter out to me......rather get a phone call, but it doesn't sound like that's the norm.

You are so much nicer than I am.:rolleyes2

If I could through to someone that actually deals with the returns, I would be calling until it was dealt with....but no point in using up all my monthly cell minutes being on hold for the call center. They can't help me.

Yeah, good point. I have unlimited minutes and I am and can be their worst nightmare.:cool2:
