As soon as I get my F&W map and info from Tables in Wonderland, I will help in anyway I can. Last year, a couple days before I got mine, others had received theirs and it was posted on their sites.
Do you think they would board us early since we'll have car seats, strollers & special needs kids???
Ugh. I just typed out a whole thing and was trying to post it here, but my stupid PC froze (as usual) and I lost all of the text.(Now you see why I can't get through my own TR's quickly, if at all - my blood pressure is constantly rising from the stress of dealing with this computer and I just can't take it!
)
Anyway, one of the things I was basically asking was, out of all of the holiday-specific activities you are going to experience at WDW this year, which one of them are you, personally, most excited to see/do?
I ask because I know you and I are on the same page where Christmas is concerned - we both love love love that holiday and everything associated with it (the music, the lights, the decor, the trees, the treats, the overall festivity), and it's a very special time of year.
So, being a fellow Christmas time fanatic, I was kind of running through the holiday-specific things to do at WDW in my mind and trying to pick which one I would be chomping at the bit to do/see above all else, if I were ever lucky enough to go there...and it was soooooo hard to pick one!! Every time I thought I had my first choice narrowed down, I would start thinking about another one of the choices and then change my mind!
What would be your #1 pick of holiday-specific things you are excited to see (and, of course, this may change after you get there and start making your way around WDW)?
The Jingle Jungle Parade?
The Osborne Lights?
The Candlelight Processional?
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?
Seeing the various elaborate decorations & trees at the different hotels?
Enjoying the unique themed food and decorations at the different countries around Epcot?
Special PhotoPass holiday pictures?
Anything else I'm forgetting?
I am still mulling over what my #1 choice would be, but I think I have it narrowed down to (in no specific order):
Epcot's internationally-themed food and decor;
The various hotels' elaborate displays; and
The Osborne Lights.
Then again, that Candlelight Processional looks beautiful...

Once you have your tickets purchased call the airlines to have it noted in your file about the special needs and needing preboarding. You'll need to say something at the ticket counter, and again at the gate. My oldest totally lucked out on his flight to PA in May. He is allergic to cats and dogs. There were 2 cats and a dog on the flight. They moved him to 1st class! (I think it's his allergy that has made my youngest scared to death of dogs.) On his flight to Ohio in June, they moved him 10 rows back from the dog on that flight. He'll be flying back home soon, who knows where he will end up.
Just found this ...
http://wdwforbigfamilies.blogspot.co...ing-rumor.html
I am sure your travel agent will be watching for free dining! I hope the rumor is true!
And maybe that blog in general will help your family!
The link didn't workThe free dining would be for the cheapest plan, so do they just apply what the cost would have been & take it off our deluxe plan? I don't want to change plans.
Since you are staying at a moderate, the free dining would be the regular plan. You would pay the difference to upgrade to deluxe. That is what we have done the past 3 trips. Not sure why the link won't work. I am sure you can google wdwforlargefamilies and it would come up. It would definitely save you a bit!
If you have a handicap placard for the twins make sure you bring that for flying (as well I am sure you would want it when at WDW). Southwest likes to see those for preboarding. Although I heard recently that they have changed the preboarding process for southwest. They now only preboard those people that need the gate attendants help down the runway. If you just need extra time they want you to board in your regular group or between the A&B groups. At least that is what they were saying in June!
Hopefully there will be a room only discount you can apply to part of your trip!
Is your son able to get you all a CM discount while on the CP?
The camp experience sounds amazing
The pics of goodbyes made me tear up at the end
Glad you were able to revise your itinerary to try and fit in the lights and Fantasmic
But if it comes down to one or the other for some reason while there, I would recommend seeing Osborn lights over Fantasmic. It is amazing![]()
I believe so, but he has to be present and "buying". We're not sure hope much we'll be seeing him on our visit. He'll have a couple days off but too soon to know when.
Well after being on the forever hold button with the IRS......I'm more confused now than I was before. They received our adoption credit amended tax returns for 2009 and 2010 on Valentines Day. (21 wks ago). In April, I received a letter saying they had processed our 2009 & did the carryover of the refund to the 2010. I expected to see a check in the next few weeks. When nothing showed up, I called in May. They said to call back in the middle of June....that would allow 16 wks and then if no action, she'd forward a request to check on the status. Well with everything that went on with memorials and such....I didn't get around to calling. So I called today to be told that our 2010 amended tax return was closed out on May 18th. Ummmm, what??? Of course the people you get to talk to can only read the screens and have no clue on why it was closed. So now they're sending an inquiry to the processing center (which you can't call) to find out why this was closed. So I requested they call me (which he didn't figure would happen) so now we'll sit and wait for a letter to tell us why 2009 was approved & 2010 was done and then closed without a refund processed.
If we don't receive this refund......this trip will be cancelled. I'm in a bit of a panic at this point.I'm confused on why we didn't get the refund after 2009 approved it. (the adoption was 2009).
He might be able to book a package for you all? I know when my friend came down with her family, her parents who are seasonal cm booked them a package a few years ago. while they did some meals together, they did most of them without them. It might be something to look into, though I know there was no free dining, they had to pay extra to have dining added to the package.
Oh, Laurie! I don't even know what to say ...![]()
Oh my goodness! I didn't see this earlier.I sure hope everything gets worked out quickly and you get a response.
