Is Expedition Everest open?

We're leaving in 10 days, I'm dying to ride EE. I'm hearing about lines, is it open?

Just returned from Disney today rode EE on Saturday it was only open for annual pass holders and DVC members had to fastpass or else there was a 100 minute wait. The ride lasted about 3 minutes the view from the top is excellent you do go backwards for some of the ride don't know if it will be open in ten days

Passholders, and DVC members, got a preview last week end. Now that's done, and It's not supposed to open till spring (april?). Sometimes they do a soft opening, where they open it on certain days without telling you. If your there check and see if it's open, but don't get you hopes up.

There is no word yet on when soft openings will be - but I'd expect that it will be open quite a bit prior to April 1st.

I rode 12 times Thursday (just once on Saturday). Hopefully it will be open when you are there!

I heard that it officially opens April 7. I don't know if that is true, however.

I have also heard it will have soft openings before the grand opening.

Laughingplace.com has a note that it is open daily now, with occasional closings (which, when you think about it, is the same as any other attraction!)

A number of board members here have reported getting notification from Disney that because they're staying on-site (starting February 1) they're entitled to a sneak preview.

The ride is already having soft openings almost every day. Even the construction walls are now removed. They started Wednesday night at EEMH and then for day guests on Thursday. There is a very good chance you will get to ride (depending on the weather). It is a great ride I myself have been on it 4 times now and it gets better every time.

Anyone have any updates on this? Is it open to day guests yet? I am traveling for work at the end of the month and am trying to plan whether I am going to go into AK or not during the trip - this would make me definately go in.

There is another thread going. One woman called WDW and they said it is open until March. Everything I am reading says it is open. I can track that it has been open since wed emh night, to sat, but did not hear about yesterday or today. I think there is a good chance you might get on board.

It is still in "soft opening". We were there on Saturday morning and there were no lines - a zero wait time - and we rode it twice. I am not a coaster fan, but this was the greatest ride I've ever been on. This was not a "sneak preview" or anything - the ride was open to all. When we entered AK, I asked a CM if it was open and she said she didn't know. We walked towards Africa, heard screaming coming from Asia and ran over there. Best ride ever.

On Sunday, it was shut down in the morning.
