LOL!! ;) :teeth:

I'm watching the Grammy's and his opening "monologue" seemed a bit disjointed to say the least. . .

Plus; how long is this show going to be?? I swear they announced appearences by about 100 people!!

I was wondering the same thing.

Plus; how long is this show going to be?? I swear they announced appearences by about 100 people!!

I hope all of those people aren't going to perform, but I think a lot of them are going to present.

I think he's had too much Nyquil.....and he needs a hair stylist!

I noticed he was kinda out of it.

Oh, thanks, forgot this was going to be on.

I don't exactly watch network tv anymore so I've had no reminders.

Dustin Hoffman at the Grammy's:confused:

LOL Gail!! :teeth:

Yeah Ahhmom . . I didn't quite get the "to prove the people of New York are hosting this. . we have Bruce Springstreet. . from New Jersey, close enough. . and Enemiem .. yo Detroit. . " thing. . .

And I guess they announced everyone in the crowd at the beginning?? LOL!! ;)

Annnd. . . are they going to have the winner of every award perform right before they announce the catagory and winner?? Kind of takes the anticipation out of things. . .

Annnnnnnnd. . . okay, can't think of anything more to complain about right now. . but stay tuned. . :teeth: ;)

He definitely seemed a bit . . uhhhh. . distracted, didn't he Sniggs??

Yeah Krisu; they opened the show with Simon and Garfunkle doing a song, so I guess it was the old "Graduate" connection. . . in his opening, Hoffman mumbled something about their music "defining a generation". . guess he must that "Beatles" group. .

Mark, I rarely do either, and I'm begining to remember why. . the bottom 1/3 of the screen is covered with local school closing announcements. . the upper left hand corner has the channel logo, and the upperr right hand the local temp. . I can barely see what's on the screen!!

Springsteen or no, I'm about a Carrot Top commercial away from switching to the History Channel. . ;)

:teeth:

He did have some trouble speaking...

But Simon and Garfunkel...were awesome....:D :D :D :D

I don't know but a couple of the acts so far, makes me wonder if they joined Dustin before hand? LOL!
What was with Faith Hill's outfit? Could it have been any shorter?
She usually has much better taste. (At least on awards shows.)
=0)

Since it hasn't started here, maybe he will be more coherent when it comes on...........Oh, never mind, live means taped to us!

Ummm, well, ahhhh, yes Wally, he was ummm sorta distracted. ;) I gave up and moved on to the Game Show network.

Whoops!! Sorry MickeyFan1. . it didn't cross my mind the West Coast wasn't getting it live. . I added a "possible spoiler" alert to the title of the thread- thanks for the heads-up!!!! :) :) :)

Oh, and don't miss the opening. . it's one of those "so bad it's good" type things. . LOL!! :teeth:

Simon and Garfunkle were good Kim!! :)

JTB, I hope I can last that long. . . Queen Latiffa just came out in a hot bubble-gum pink outfit and said, "When you think of New York, you think of country music. . oh. . ha ha. . not really. . "

People get paid to write that stuff???

I'm looking for things to throw at the TV as we speak.. ;)

:teeth:

Garfunkle is a bad word? Or did you use asterisks on purpose, WillyJ.

I never watch awards shows.

Uhhhhh.. I think I accidently used an extra "k" somewhere I shouldn't have Kath. . I edited. . :teeth:

I guess I just got too excited watching the tribute to Glen Miller and trying to figure out what the heck John Leguazamo was talking about???

And yeah Whitegloves, Faith Hill looked like a daisy on acid. . what was up with that???

;)

:teeth:

When I saw Dustin Hoffman I asked my husband what he had to do with music!
Yes, I agree, I think it is not that he is on something...I just think he is out of his element.

As far as the perfomers go...we love Norah Jones. She is so good.
Oops..gotta go here comes Rod Stewart.
Lisajl

Harvey Fierstein in drag has been the most normal acting person on the show so far. . . :teeth:

;)

Oh, I love Norah Jones too, lisajl!

And LOL Willy! I thought the same thing about Harvey in drag. What is up with Rod Stewart and the dog? And has he had some work done, or what? He looks younger than he should.

Harvey lost his/her necklace! I saw him on a preshow with a big bauble right at his neck. He didn't have it on while onstage. (...unless it was hidden under one of the double chins......) Gotta love him!

BTW, DD just asked me why some of these performers sound better on her CDs than live on TV. Couldn't possibly be that some may be under the influence or that some need techno-wizards to top a chart. I guess they could just be caught up in the moment......?!?!?!?
