Is Disney Lands delay causing any concerns?

Considering Disney Land has given no projected re-opening date. How has this effected everyone's decision on making new reservations?

I believe DL only postponed because they won't be receiving state guidance until after the 4th and it's not enough time to bring the park back to life. (or that's the public messaging)

I just found this out today and read obviously a sensationalized (local) article due to it pointing out that there was push back. I wish I could delete this as it made me look like an idiot.

It gives me pause. It may just be that a delay in government approval set DL back a little bit, but who knows. Numbers are skyrocketing in CA and FL. If they continue to go up, I think there is a possibility of openings being rolled back at any time. My suspicion is that WDW will open as planned and DL will open with a short delay, but at this point I think we all need to be prepared for anything. Covid is not over. Not by a long shot. It seems to be receding in my area (NJ/NY) but that could change at any time.

DLR cannot give a specific reopening date for the parks and hotels (GCH & PPH -- DLH will reopen at a later date) until Gov. Newsom gives the okay for theme parks to reopen. None of the theme parks in CA are reopening right now. This isn't Disney specific. The gov. has said he will make an announcement after July 4th. After he does that, Disney can re-announce another reopening date. DTD is still set to reopen on July 9th as originally planned.

Considering all of the responses were nice I won't worry about it...

I worry more about the media's reporting of it and presenting information in a slanted way and the decisions that leaders make based on people's perceptions rather than the truth. Both sides present things in a way that suits them....

So yes, I do worry. Land shut down for an entirely different reason that what people are asking World be delayed for...but that is not the focal point that the media chooses to accentuate in their headlines.

Not at all. I've gone over the edge about things about a hundred times worse than informational....and during these times all opinions are welcome and entertaining.
