Brazilian kids at WDW are nothing compared to American kids in Cancun during Spring Break.

For those of you poor souls who get caught up in the Brazilian wave while vacationing in WDW, I have a solution. Now it may take a little work, but I think this is what you should do:

1. Locate the Brazilian Tour Guide. He's easy to spot, usually carrying a megaphone, large flag, and wears a silly yellow shirt. If you still can't locate him, he's usually the one running to the next ride several thousand of his countrymen behind him.

2. Once the tour guide is located, then find an ideal time to casually sneak up behind him so no one sees you and drag him into the Hall of Presidents. The Brazilians will never look for him in there, and besides it's usually pretty empty anyway.

3. Tie him up and take his megaphone, shirt and flag.

4. Now, dress up a dummy in his megaphone, shirt and flag.

5. With the dressed up dummy (in Brazilian tour guide gear), run past his (now confused) tour group.

6. They will all recognize the flag and start a full on sprint in pursuit (to what they think will be the next ride). If you are a world class sprinter, this makes for fun.

7. Now, make your way out of the park and head straight for the tram car line.

8. Push your way to the front of the tram car and place the dummy in front. The entire tour group will push their way, stomping and chanting to get on board the tram car. The tram cars are pretty big and should carry the entire group.

9. Now jump off and leave the dummy on the tram car. They will not go anywhere without the tour guide, so you can bet the entire tour group will sit on the tram car for several hours chanting and stomping around the beautiful and very hot parking facilities.

10. Re-enter the park, to enjoy the rest of your day. Problem solved, and no one got hurt. As for the Brazilian tour guide, who knows, he might learn a little bit of americana listening to the Hall Of Presidents a few hundred times.

And remember, "it's a small world after all".

:goodvibes :lmao: :rotfl2:  :rotfl: :happytv: ;)

Ugh. Obnoxious. I can't imagine wanting to hear the "piped in" sounds of WDW (the ones that give you goosebumps:cloud9: )and instead, being forced to hear this:headache:

Very, very rude.

I've heard that the chants are also done on rides like Living With The Land, IASW, and The Safari @ AK. They should be kicked off if that is the case.

The most troubling thing in this thread to me is the reaction by some to the poster who corrected the individual who cited the historic "facts."

It is one thing to live in this great country completely oblivious to the events and sacrifices that led to the very freedom enjoyed by all today. There is nothing "wrong" with living in the dark, and I'll fight for the right of the individual to do so.

It's another thing to accuse a person of being "too PC" or "nit-picky" when they take the time to discern two completely different but important historical events and dismiss them (and the loss of human life) as frivilous footnotes. General Custer (one poster even has him confused with a popular frozen dessert) wasn't at Wounded Knee, which was a slaughter of mostly unarmed natives. He WAS at Little Big Horn (briefly) which was a slaughter of a U.S. Army detachment BY natives.

If that's not important to you, fine. It's all good, but don't criticize those who think these events actually do hold some relevance.

It's worse than that...they put the Brazilians on their own safari trucks, and they do not fill the trucks because they go by how the guide wants them arranged. I had a Kilimanjaro FP and it took me longer than when I used the standby...got near the loading area okay, then waiting FOREVER as the Brazilians in front of me were loaded onto their half-full cars which waited while the guide dictated the seating arrangements to the CM.

Why? OMG. Why does WDW give the power to The Guides:mad:

OK -- I have heard enough horror stories over the years. How about attacking WDW's Complaint Department e-mail address? I just sent them an e-mail with this link. Here is there e-mail address:

wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

I would think that if enough of us would send a message to them, then MAYBE the "powers that be" at WDW would listen. I would also think that if the almost 200 posters on this thread alone would speak up, then hopefully WDW would listen a bit harder.

As I put in my e-mail, "I know the Brazilian tour groups are paying guests, but so are we. And there are a lot more of us than Brazilian tour groups". I encompassed all groups basically, but did mention the Brazilian ones (and citing some of their antics) since they seem to crop up more than anyone posted.

I sent my e-mail! Anyone else?

ITA! Good heavens, it gets insane down there. I avoid the big destination towns in Mexico during Spring Break for that reason alone. The best I can say is that at least they're a bit more prepared to handle masses of loud misbehaving people.

And there's no ride lines to cut into!:rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Maybe it bothered people because I'm Canadian.:rotfl2: Imagine what might have been said if I got into a discussion of the AIM incident at Wounded Knee.

After my previous post, I thought of a few other solutions to the waves of Brazilian tour groups:

1. Post FastPass ticket machines outside of bathrooms, tram car lines, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Tomorrowland Transit (for that matter). This should cause plenty of jam ups of unsuspecting tour guides trying to cram as many of his tour group into areas that don't require long waits.

2. When you see a large group of Brazilians heading your way, roll a soccer ball (er excuse me a futbol) the other way. (This works with most Europeans as well, except you can expect the occassional riot to occur.)

3. Tell them that Pele is signing autographs at the Wide World of Sports complex. Or that Ronaldhino was spotted at Sea World.

4. Post signs (in Portugese) that there's a Samba dance contest in Mickey's Toon Town. This will put several hundred Brazilian's into an army of Strollers. Having been run down by a few of those oblivious strollers myself, it will only take a few minutes to "thin the herd".

5. Persuade the Brazilian government to change the date of Carnivale to the entire month of July.

--Before I start sounding like a Letterman top 10 list, please note that all of above (as well with most of my posts) are lighthearted and with good humor. If I offended anyone, then I'll do the what we americans are good at........... blame my parents!

Disney has kept this problem in their vault for long enough.
But...its fun to see how the web gives us little guys a voice.

All we need to do, is remind our friends every year...."Do Not Book Trips in July"
Some-one please post this (in March 2008) to help people plan ahead.

And after enough people get the idea,... Disney will do something about their "lack of control" over these rich teens.

The person who wrote this, was right on track- "So not only are these rich people (who are culturally brought up, to see other people who are not like them as not worthy of their respect) these are the TEENAGE CHILDREN of such people. This leads to a nightmare mentality, no matter what your race, creed, or color."

...

I just got back on Sunday and they were still there. Went to EPCOT on Friday and saw them and not once was bothered by their group. Also, they were at Blizzard Beach on Saturday and the wait times were normal to me. The one thing I noticed was all of the 15 yr olds or I think that age were wearing the brazilian cut bikinis. Overall I had a great time trying to talk to them.

Surprise! I just got an emial from a gentleman in the executive offices of WDW. He sent his telephone number and wanted to speak further to me about this. I will be calling him today. :thumbsup2
