Is anyone else a little tired of Vera Bradley?

I see B Makowsky bags at tjmaxx all the time. They are very soft leather. I don't own one but , the prices at tj maxx make them tempting.

I bought a Makowsky $240 bag on clearance for $34 at TJ Maxx a couple of years ago. I used it for a while and it still looks and feels like new. They are really nice. Just picked up a black baggalini for Winter at TJ's. Their prices are the best!

I have a few coach bags but I'm over them. I think I'm going to ebay them pretty soon.

I currently carry a vera hipster. That's the perfect size bag for my stuff but I only like a few of their patterns.

My friends and I call Vera Bradley bags "potholder purses" b/c they look they they are made out of grandma's potholders.

I have a Vera laptop case because it was hard to find something lightweight but protective for my large laptop, and a couple of the mini hipsters because they're tiny, lightweight, and cute. Her larger purses aren't for me, but I don't care either way what someone else wears or likes.

I usually carry Brahmin purses because I like them, and they're good quality and not too heavy for their size. Sunshinehighway, I got all three at their tent sale. It wasn't overly crowded.

That's good to hear. Maybe I'll take a trip to the next one.

:lmao: Come to think of it, they do. I'm NOT a VB fan and don't know what is so desirable about them, however, I like Coach bags and understand that many don't like them, so to each their own.

I don't understand the fixation with purses, and I don't pay much attention to them. Personally, I like something black, inexpensive, functional and non-descript.

My kid is still into VB and I'm happy about that because I don't mind paying $45 for a tote for her to use as a backpack for two years. The in thing for the high school crowd is to get $$$$ Coach bags and destroy them by stuffing them with books. That is so not happening in my house.

Oooh! I do not have a black one! I need to keep my eyes open for one!

I do like some VB's and have quite a few styles and patterns. Everytime I think I should get another one, I just think of how my closet looks like a rainbow threw up in it and I refrain from buying another. I guess that means I'm getting sick of them

Aw man I love Vera Bradley. I used to think the patterns were ugly till I found some I actually likes.

I have in Blue Lagoon:
Grand Traveler
E-reader sleeve
mini hanging organizer
lunch bag
eyeglass case
zip around wallet
card carrier

Doodle Daisy:
mini hipster
luggage tag
medium cosmetic
checkbook cover

My next pattern will probably be Indigo Pop.

I just got my first VB. I can't see purchasing a lot of them; this one was just perfect for what I needed.

It is the wallet, with the ID on the outside and hold a cellphone. It has a strap. I figured it would be perfect for upcoming cruise.

I can't see using VB as my purse though.

:lmao: Sounds like a typical boy (man) response. LOL

We were at the MOA VB store a few weeks ago and we could hardly get in the door! :scared1: They need a bigger store! :rotfl:

I never heard of Vera Bradley until last night, and lo and behold there's a current thread about it!!

My wife and I were browsing the shops in town last night and she dragged me into a boutique to show me a VB bag she said she's been eyeing for a few weeks. She SWEARS she mentioned it to me a handful of times, but I don't remember. (Yeah....a man is gonna remember a conversation about a handbag....). Anyway she wanted this smallish backpack style in a black and yellow print. I've always suspected this particular boutique was pricey, but the full sticker price of $89 didn't seem TOO outrageous. IMO it's only worth half that price, if that. But she liked it, doesn't go wild spending $$$ on clothes or shoes, so if it makes her happy, why not treat herself? I sometimes buy a few frivilous things too.

That's an apt description. While I really couldn't lie and tell her I liked it, I used the safe "it looks good on you" response.

My husband and I frequently have conversations about handbags, mostly it's me talking about a new one I want, and him telling me I don't need any more, but he knows quite well what a VB bag is and knows exactly where to get the best deal on one for Christmas, birthdays, and anniversary gifts.

You sound like a good husband. :thumbsup2:rotfl:

I used to be a Vera addict. I have a ton of bags. But, something happened this year and I really have lost my taste for them. Unsure why, but really not a fan anymore..
