Ok, very last minute but we are toying with adding breakfast here onto our list of ADR's but it would have to be OOP as we are on the DDP and have already allocated all of our credits.

Our DD age 2, who will be 3 in March, is just crazy about princesses. Its like this whole new spectrum for her, Its so hilarious. She will tell DH that his princess Allyson wubes him too much. LOL! Daddy's girl, huh! Anyways, it will be like $120 for all 6 of us to eat here. We leave the 31st for Disney so im just tying up loose ends and DH asked if we had any princess meals planned and Im like, well, ummmm we have ADR's at GF for Cindy and the step sisters and he is like isnt there other princess meals we can add and im like well.....the castle is out of the question but there is a meal in Norway at WS in EPCOT. So, here I am asking you all. Is it worth the $$ OOP to schedule this??

And on a last note, here is all of our ADR's listed not in any particular order

Breakfast at Ohana
Dinner at Crystal Palace
Dinner at Ohana
Dinner at Boma
Dinner at Coral Reef
Dinner at 1900 PF
Dinner at Chef Mickey's

We did this last time off the meal plan. It was worth it. We had our picture taken with Ariel, by a Disney photographer, and got a copy for free. Then Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, and a couple more stopped by for pictures and autographs. It is buffet style and all 7 of us found plenty to eat. What we spent there we would spend for a dinner out at home. We thought it was well worth it. Even our sons were into it, the castle and all.

Great thanks for the reply. That's one thumbs up. Two more make three :thumbsup2 and its a sealed deal! anyone else? Yay or Nay?????:)

We love Akershus! I think it is worth it, but I think you would save a little bit of money if you paid OOP for your 'Ohana breakfast instead. :)

We don't do the dining plan, and thought it was worth it. Our girls were 1 and 2 last Jan when we went and they were completely floored by the princesses. They especially loved that they came to the table and spoke directly to them, and got to take pics with them. So IMO I would say it is worth it and we will be there on 1/26 for a 10:20 res.

I'm so glad to hear these replies because I'm in the exact same situation, I've already made all my plans for dining credits but I'd still like to add this one on as OOP dining.

I've made an ADR for it already, but it's good affirmation to hear all the great reviews. I'm looking forward to it.

Yep! :thumbsup2 I jumped over to Allears and compared pricing. Thank you for the heads up. It saves us quite a bit of $$$. I like it when we save $$. It means another dole whip or mickey bar! LOL

Im giving WDW DINE a call and making the ADR. Thanks everyone!

yes it's worth it - especially if you have a princess lover! I've done Akershus twice (breakfast) and would do it again anytime.

Count me on the DEFINITELY WORTH IT list if there is a princess lover in your group. We'll be doing it OOP on our next trip. The food is decent and reasonably priced (by Disney standards). Plus, there is no other efficient way to meet them in the parks. What child wants to stand in line over and over to see them one or two at a time? Ane you really get one on one with them in the restaurant. They move along, but you do get to interact. It was THE highlight of DD's trip. If you can get the ADR, take it.

Yep definatly worth it. My DH even liked it and would definatly go back. Him for the food of course. But like OP said pay OOP for O'Hana its a lot cheaper. I believe our breakfast there for 5 during the holiday pricing was under $100.

We took our 3 year old niece there in 06 and it was the most amazing experience ever....to see the look on her face, the excitement when she was with her idol Ariel, it was worth any amount of money to us.

To this day, a little over 2 years later she still talks about it and wants to go back....little does she know we have breakfast plans for Norway in 2 weeks!

I would pay anything to have her eat there and enjoy it as much as she did before

Ohhh, That is so special! Wont that be the best surprise! You will have to take a pic of her expression at that moment and share it with the rest of us!
Our youngest son, he will be 5 this february, but when he was 3 on our last trip he got to be on stage for the jedi training and he has never forgotten even the smallest details and tells everyone he is a REAL Jedi and believes he has Jedi powers. He can open the doors going in and out of buildings just by using the force!:lmao:

That is so sweet! Its amazing isnt it, the stuff that they remember! My niece was all decked out in her Ariel shirt and shorts, had on all her trading pins etc and when Ariel commented on her outfit and pins Kayla said, "I have you on my panties too!" I was so red but Ariel handled it smoothly ... she must be used to that sort of thing!

We did this breakfast last Feb. and it was amazing!!!! We will DEF. be going back. We loved it.

If your little one is in princess mode - this is NOT to be missed. We checked in and got a pic of DS with Belle. Then during the meal (the food was great by the way) Jasmine, Ariel, Mulan and Mary Poppins made the rounds. I have heard that sometimes even Cindy comes around - I think the princesses change from day to day. I would do this anytime over any other princess meal - it was that good.

Here are some pics!! But, absolutely take your little one - it is priceless!!!

Ok, so I have called no less than 4 times. Got two busy signals, one saying the systen was down and finally the 4th got me thru only to be told there is no availability for our morning. Ack! I am going to call back tonight and so on to check for cancellations. Keeping fingers crossed! I just hope that if someone double booked ADR's like I have been reading about lately that they will be fair and cancel before they decide not to use there ADR! I am still shocked to think people actually book 2 and 3 ADR's for the same times and 2-3 different venues and wait until that day/time to decide which ADR they want. :sad2:

Keep trying!!!!! But, If you don't get it............... you can always call after you check in to your resort. You will be able to call right from your room. You might get some pixie dust - you never know!!

Good Luck - I'm really hoping your little one gets to go!!!

Definitely keep trying....your daughter will LOVE it!!!! If it wasn't for being in Cinderella's castle, I would prefer Askershus everytime. Good Luck!!!!!

Persistance pays off! I got our ressies at Akershus...FINALLY! I have been calling for what seems like weeks to get us in and today was the day. :cool1:
Doing the happy dance! DD is going to be sooo excited!

Thanks everyone for your replies AND your well wishes! pixiedust:

I would! We all really enjoyed the breakfast here and the princess variety was great! perhaps another meal would be cheaper to pay for out of pocket?
